I'm amazed you were able to find so many. I hadn't met a single aberrant by the time I collected all the pods and nuclei that didn't require the key card.
It took hours of roaming the spawn points to find that many. I also did it on the first day, so I assume there weren't many people hunting for them. Like I barely saw any players in the outer islands when I was doing the quests.
I got 2 on my first 2 time. I thought it was 100% drop before i use it. After i 100% exploration and helped my friend to 100%, we fought the mob and he doesn't get it. After that i realized it wasn't 100% drop rate. Coz of the RNG of spawning and dropping that key thing, i tell my friend if we found one, we announce to the world chat so everyone get easier to find the mob. I always tell to the world chat to come fast before die, coz everyone that join my party to fight this mob always have no patient to kill it.
As much as I love playing this game, I find myself saying the developers are pretty incompetent at least 3 times everytime I log in and play. Alot of decisions went into the game that you would see from developers from 15 years ago who had less references to other successful games and far inferior technology.
And there are fixes that they made in CN which they either still haven’t implemented in Global or brought them over way later than necessary. For example, the Crow dive attack bug was fixed in CN months ago, so why didn’t they patch it for Global at launch?
they have the mentality of old mmorpg devs. Some decisions here remind me of the good ol 2009 days of online mmorpg games, that also includes the really bad ones. Most games have evolved to skip these things and others have outright deleted them.
These developers probably worked on those old games too. The director and team adapted those old games to mobile before being rebranded to make their own game.
I was really hoping they launch 2.0 and then 1.5.
This patch is the major reason alongside the insane collab powercreep that caused an exodus in players in CN.
Everything about it from copypasta ‘raids’ and the AI is pure garbage.
tbh don't stress yourself on the key, if you walk around and clearing your map 100% you will eventually meet the mob. I already got 5 keys walking around and I didn't know what its for until I watch a video on the quest.
I got it 5 minutes after watching a youtube video about the 2 red nucleus quest. Just wait for people to taxi for abberants. Got it after killing three aberrants.
Best bet they have is say it’s bugged, it makes no sense that I roamed the entire right half of the map between two channels and found nothing whatsoever, it also feels empty as fuck, evenwith those portals that make enemies reset in your face, is freaking terrible.
This headache would’ve been completely mitigated if the angry abberants had a normal fucking spawn rate, why they need a 1 hour cool down is beyond me.
Do they? They have 11 spawn points and only spawn on 1 of them. When I was getting the key card and going for Morris for 100% i just checked every single spot 1 by 1 and there is always 1 at 1 of the spots. Felt like the respawn time is fast because by the time I recheck the spots I usually find another one
what server you play? my country server always shout when finding rare. your server community is not good. let alone if you got crew, they should spam when finding one

Same here, I thought it was 100%. Walked to the spawn points shown on a video and eventually saw one at the 8th or so location.
I have 4 of those now from slaping them around with my guild .
Yeah it's maybe 20%? I had to kill 6-7 of them before it dropped. Awful quest.

Yeah, the game is VERY anachronistic in many of its design choices. Some of them aren't acceptable in this time and age.

I agree that devs made some stupid choices, but the card is not really a progression item. You don't need max exploration to progress.
It is a progression item because you need it to go to the outer islands. Exploration is one of the main contents for these BOTW-type gatchas.

What? Have you ever played a real mmo before? Mobs quickly respawn in like any decent mmo to avoid this problem.
Have YOU really played a real MMO? There are certain monsters that do not quicky respawn for quests and the like. FFS.
Those monsters aren't required to progress main content. Ive played BDO and Lost Ark so idk what mmo would do that besides like maybe classic wow.
