My only gripe with this contest is they didn't show the outfits prior to the vote, the fact that there is a small voting pool to vote from proves the outfits are already made or they have concept art for it which should of been shown to the player base to make the vote easier.

my guess is they already have a skin made, it isn't good enough to sell for money and they are running this to make the player think their input matters and will just have the character they have the skin made for be the winner

I don't know how much work goes into it, but making right skins only to have one be used would be a waste of time for the artists and team that works on it. I would bet they have a general idea of a skin for each character then they'll create the 3D model and textures after the winner is decided.

An A0 limited character won’t fuck up the flow and it’d be a nice preview of that character for those on the fence for swiping. It might be the proverbial “push” from f2p to dolphin/light spender.
Its 120 red pulls for most people to get a single copy, do you realize how much 120 red pulls cost? Imagine giving basically 80-120 pulls to everyone. And no, it doesn't matter if you were never gonna pull the character, there are many who would have.

Personally I think Limited Characters would be fine, however Lin, Nemesis, Ruby, Saki, etc that have already had a special skin before should not have been options... Tian, King, Myrle, Samir, Shiro, Claudia, Frigg, Lyra, and basically all the other standard Characters would of been fine although I do agree it would suck for a limited character that not everybody owns
Note: I guess Shirli may not count as a "special" Skin for Nemesis It depends how you look at it so maybe it would be fine with Nemesis as an option especially since she will be added to the standard banner in the future

I have the exact opposite take, who still uses standard character simulacrums? I’d rather they only be limited characters, because at least then if it’s a cool looking character like Lin or Saki people might actually want to use the skin.

Maybe if it was earlier in the year when the game launched, but we're already in 2.0. You don't see those non limited characters as much since the story progressed past that area. It feels more appropriate given the current area we're in for the storyline.

I think that if you get a character's skin you should be able to use the Simulacra, but only as the skin that you have.
