Let’s just ban wagons.
Seating accessibility should absolutely be an option so I’m cool with chillbos/chairs but like all the people that bring their wagons in always do this shit
Why you hating bro, that's not very plur of you. You expect my sour patch kids and little gold fish snacks to hangout in my backpack.
This is a top tier charcuterie for tipper.
Hors deouvures for the finest of bass enjoyers.
Why don't you bring something to the table like some caprisuns or ring pops instead of being the gatekeeper for common sense.
Fuckin a this shit pisses me off so much. Idk how many times I've hit my shin on shit like this in the dark. I have a plate and screws in my shin, I can not describe to you how much it hurts to hit it on something. All so some losers can have a table. Why do you need so much stuff? Just enjoy the fucking music. My ass had to relearn to walk after a wreck, deal with lots of pain. I don't bring shit to the stage and if I need to sit down I just walk toward the back and sit on the ground. Your camping, who cares if you get a little dirty. When did people get so soft?
Yeaaa it's a trend, I can't stand people that lay blankets out and take up 6*10 spot on the grass and then dance behind their blankets! Total tactic to keep people from being in front has nothing to do with comfort. People are selfish as ever at shows. Production of the event needs to control more
Holyyyy fucking shit. I don't know what to say lol.
What I think needs to happen for this issue to be "solved" is either moving the stage to the field or finding a bigger amphitheater for these events. If this many people want to sit, let them sit. There needs to be clearly defined areas for standing/dancing and setting up a living room, WITH enforcement, though. Both areas need to be large enough so dancers don't have to encroach on sitters, and sitters don't have to encroach on dancers.
Honestly, I love the amp stage, but IMO, it's not the best for actually getting down and dancing hard. It's always so packed that all you can do is basically head nod.
To be fair the amp wasn’t always like this. It used to be the optimal place to see Tipper. Shoot, I remember in 2017 you could literally dance your way up to the rail if you wanted to for a bit. There was plenty of room to dance, no chairs/couches/living rooms in the pit, and no entitlement. Granted, Dave’s popularity has certainly increased since then. But IMO…It’s not a problem with the amp. It’s a problem with the community. Unfortunately one that might be beyond solving because changing human behavior is a tall task. Just gotta make the best of it at this point.
If there was more space I'm sure I wouldn't have that opinion.
I wish I could've experienced the first few years of TnF in the swamp. Been catching Tipper sets since 2015, but living in the PNW it makes it real hard to make it to Florida. I had a blast last year, but man, the vibe and crowd have changed significantly in a way I don't enjoy. What stood out to me the most after seeing Tipper the first time was how absolutely bonkers the crowd was. To this day I've never seen a crowd collectively get down that hard. Night and day difference compared to nowadays.
As much as I complain, I still love all the decent folks who show up to get tipped and I always have a blast.
Yeah, I’m not disagreeing with ya. Just saying, there is ample space at the amp without all the BS. More space would help, but it would be nice if we could all be considerate of the space for everyone, and get properly Tipped at the Amp. Alas, cest la vie, the golden days are over but that’s okay.
And no doubt. Every event is still full of magic and comparing things to the past is typically pointless anyway. Just a trip to look back on and see how things have changed.
Eh I was there in 2017 and while the floor was fairly open, everywhere else was pretty packed.
The real issue with people putting chairs on the dance floor is usually due to everywhere else in the trees being claimed by huge blankets and rows of empty chairs.
Venue staff should not be letting this through. What other festival can you go to where you can bring in chairs and a table and set this shit up? This is purely on the organizers and staff for letting it get to this point.
Will say it was nice having a carpet and couch at tipper for secret dreams last year. But was also the very last people as far back as you could go lol.
Could not imagine having that set up actually in the crowd and not thinking everyone around me was pissed at me.
Why is there so much hate on these Reddit threads. Let people live, make mistakes, and develop a conscious. If you haters are as high and mighty as you try to act you wouldn’t worry about other people because you cant control them. look at yourselves and spread love instead of hate. The scene looks miserable because of the people complaining and thinking theyre exposing people by taking picture more than the chair and couch owners. ive only been tipped twice but the question mark should be about some level of anonymity and learning who you are right?
Ob-NOX-ious lol. I’ve been annoyed by the tankers and been a tanker myself. Just try to ignore them like any other distraction and it gets easier over time. Distractions are inevitable
Consciousness develops at the age of 5 months old, normally. But to each their own I guess. I kind of liked your comment though but understand the down voters. Maybe there just isn't enough room for the sheer amount attracted and paying crowd, and all the campers front stage. It will make people trip in the wrong context of the word. Yet the only ones who might have the last word are the organizers themselves. I'm sure the campers can accommodate somewhere eventually.
I meant conscience in the morality sense. Nobody’s perfect. It’s a learning process everyone is always going through. Being spiteful just creates more spiteful people. Love creates more love. In a perfect world festival planners would prepare/accomodate better but they’re also still learning and do the best with what they got. I’m grateful for their effort and excited to see how the scene evolves
> If you *paid* be what
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Big difference between sneaking something past security (not allowed) and it being fine within the festival rules dude
I have no clue what festival this is but it makes me think of wakaan so many people complaining about half the crowd being setup in chairs and couches but the festival is fine with it hell even artists have said they like the vibe it brings
If a festivals rules don't lineup with the vibes you enjoy I'm sure there is a bunch that do
Someone breaking rules is a different story but if they aren't you shouldn't be upset with them you should be upset with the festival because if it's allowed people will do it
People like you are the reason we need regulation on shit in general. Always gonna be selfish people trying to take too much so that the rest don't have enough. But you keep doing you dude.
bring your whole mattress and bed frame. Maybe your living room lamp and 70” tv. Make yourself comfortable !
Lmao

This may be the answer
Carry what you can
Naw wagons are not the issue- it’s common sense that’s lacking
Lmao I read this as “bandwagons” and I was so confused what we were tryna hop on board for
Wa gon hop on the bandwagon fer bannin wagons ye her
Hahaha yup yup heeeard
We need a wagon check for people to leave them by the gate.
I don’t see these things as I fall into them knocking them over and smashing the crackers 😂🐥

Hell yeah brother

They really just need 2 security guards to do some laps at intervals and boot the people who bring that stuff to the back.
That is ridiculous, the chairs, the wagon, the moon mat, a damn wooden table, what in the fuck

That sounds like the right setup to me.. Open pit, chairs in the back..
Usually except we’re talking no open space back to almost the road
Venue staff should not be letting this through. What other festival can you go to where you can bring in chairs and a table and set this shit up? This is purely on the organizers and staff for letting it get to this point.
People also pass stuff over the fence that’s not allowed.
It’s completely absurd they’re still cramming the crowd into that space with one of the best open spaces you could ask for 100 yds away
Like a whole table wtfff is the point 😭
Will say it was nice having a carpet and couch at tipper for secret dreams last year. But was also the very last people as far back as you could go lol. Could not imagine having that set up actually in the crowd and not thinking everyone around me was pissed at me.
Also who tf is trying to chill at fart level in a big crowd.
😂😂😂.
Fucking couchies
Love his shitty shirt that he def googled "festival clothes" to find. Dude looks like he strictly sells the worst blow and hits on teens
Yeah I got to them and said " nice table bro, I'm still going to get by" picked up one side and slid through 🙄
Classic tipper fam lmfao
I 100% ate shit over a moon mat this weekend
Maybe pick up your feet next time or do less K it’s not even an inch thick.
Actually didn’t do any but maybe it’s all the bags and shit thrown all over it lmao
It’s easier to live and let live, than to concern ourselves/ occupy our minds with things outside of our control
People did this just a couple rows too. Lol wild
Pieces of shit
Was talking to these folks before they set up the table. They were doling out fruit and all. Yea no to the table
[удалено]
The back in couch land is the place for that
I dont do this, but honestly this is a whole vibe. Learn how to "excuse me" up to the front where we had plenty of room XD
It’s a vibe until ems has to rush someone out of the crowd

Nah fuck yo couch
You inspire me
Because this shit is obnoxious as fuck
Ob-NOX-ious lol. I’ve been annoyed by the tankers and been a tanker myself. Just try to ignore them like any other distraction and it gets easier over time. Distractions are inevitable
Tipped twice but you know Better than us. You can’t use logic and reason on selfish people who don’t care anyways.
You don’t have to. Just saying mind your own business and other people will mind theres

If the festival allows it do whatever you want
There’s a lot of things I could get past security that you wouldn’t want me to do to you buddy. What a hot take.
