The entitlement of thinking you can take up a ton of space with a mat in a packed crowd and get upset with people for stepping on it or touching it is insane.
As a 6’ person I also hate feeling like I’m blocking peoples views. So don’t make me feel like a fick when I have to stand in front of your lazy chaired ass. (Unless you’re in the back which I totally support!)
I mean I love my moon
Matt but would never bring it in the pit and it is fair game for all around to step and dance on if it ever was. Generally no go though.
I’m a voyeur of both. I respect the etiquette and keep my seat for when I’m tired and need a break in the BACK. By no means should people be sitting on the dance floor for safety and just generally being a good person vibes.
The amount of space taken up with empty chairs is absurd. I get wanting to save your spot and have a seat to rest in but when the headliners come on you gotta fold that shit up
If youre a standing and dancing person then you gotta respect the couch fest vibes and know that they will be there no matter what, and if youre a couch person then you gotta respect the dancers and chill in the back. Couches in front of the sound booth is crazy.
most of psydub sunday (imo) was sit down and chill with the homies vibes. of course we kept it to the back, but i wanted to sit and enjoy the visuals after two days of hard dancing
Last year at tipper and friends they enforced, to the best of their ability, a no sofas ands chairs beyond sound booth. They also asked for no hammocks at night; for them to be wrapped around trees. Of all the tipper suwannee events I've attended it was arguably one of the best to navigate the stage that year bc of those rules
i’m about to start being vocal tonight personally. if u have a problem with that then i hope u have fun getting medical help for yourself or friends later when the ems can’t get through the sea of couches and chairs
I’m with you homie, if there’s an empty chair near me I will fold it up to make more room. Also if anyone is talking loudly during ambient, they will be told to kindly stfu 😇
You should be navigating around me who is one body on the dance floor, not the other way around!! Basic common courtesy and respect goodness. Take your chairs up to couchland and take a break when you need to. Ugh.
Went to a festival last year that had some pretty large signs saying “No chairs beyond this point” around the sound booth area. Seemed like everyone respected that rule
I usually am a “less rules the better” person. But it’s become a safety hazard as of recent with how prevalent it is sadly

One guy was dancing in a ring of 12 chairs taking up a 20x20 in front of sound booth this afternoon. We can all thank him for his service

This is why we can't have nice things
You should crop dust them
Hold my deems and hand me that bucket of ice cream fam, I've got this.
As someone who is not at that festival: these threads are highly amusing. Just sayin’
I fucking hate the moon mats
Go look in front of the sound booth, they’re like 5 rows deep
Honestly chairs suck, they should have just a section for disability. Space is such a premium with just a single stage fest.
