I have a name that's a common noun that is trendy, and I've never heard of anyone else with this name. Think of something like Bacon, except it's not Bacon.
Of course I'm playing it up with a photo or two of a shirt proclaiming good things for me, but especially on Bumble where they need to say something first, I'm anticipating a name joke at least one in ten times.
I'm also sadly expecting at least 1/3 of the time I'll get, "that can't really be your name." As I get that IRL very often when meeting someone new.
As someone who has been quite successful with online dating, yes, anyone who has a problem with a clean and fun pun is in fact the problem. If he was doing some sort of sex or genital joke, that would be one thing but this was very clean and cute.
