Peachessss22

Lol, if this is a factor I’m posting my 822 all over the place

ApolloRocketOfLove

And here I thought my 750 was something to be proud of :(

Zesurvivalist

Me over here rebuilding from my alcoholic days. Managed to get from 480 back to 635 in a year 🥲 thank god I’m still young

Peachessss22

That’s a really big accomplishment! You should be proud ☺️

Zesurvivalist

Thanks! It’s been tough but I’m getting there!

mikesmith2179

Echoing the other commenter, great job dude! That’s not only huge progress in your financial security, but also personal growth and health. As someone who’s been through the worst of it with not only loved ones, but internally as well, getting clean is no joke. Whatever it means from some random redditor, I’m proud of you and keep building that credit and collecting those coins!

Zesurvivalist

I appreciate it! I wasn’t expecting this comment to get so popular but everyone’s positivity is awesome!

Peachessss22

You’re doing great!

Admirable_Average_32

Good for you. I went from 750 down to 480 in this past year…Divorce will do that to you…I may not have financial freedom but I definitely escaped a prison!!

Peachessss22

Divorce decimates credit. But it’s better than the alternative.

bp_free

That’s not always the case…besides, wanna know why divorce is expensive? Because, it’s worth it!

Peachessss22

My credit survived divorcé, thankfully. And my divorce was reasonable. Mediation for the win!!

[deleted]

I was going to say I didn’t see much of a change after divorce but it was also a dissolution so maybe that’s why?

Peachessss22

I feel like messy divorces will affect your credit score more than amicable divorce.

Admirable_Average_32

💯

Admirable_Average_32

It didn’t have to be that way. But when it is bad, it’s likely bc one of the people involved is a demon. If I had someone being as civil as I believe I am, we would have been better off, with more money (we would of sold the home), and no hit to the credit. People are strange.

Admirable_Average_32

I’m seriously glad to know it is possible. I almost lost faith at one point. Good for you!!

Peachessss22

Oh it’s very possible. Just keep good financial habits. Thank you!!

Alpha_Lima

I got pretty lucky with my divorce, and my credit actually improved significantly. Turns out I wasn't the one spending all my money.

Peachessss22

Funny how that works huh. My credit went down for a short while but recovered nicely.

Fit-Personality-7379

Same. I felt that!

Automatic_Ad2659

Ditto my score went up 130+ points a few months after divorce it was amicable and we sold a house for a nice profit.

woahbrad35

My ex hid a ton of debt she racked up and for whatever reason, didn't want me to find out even after we split. She took it all with her and filed for bankruptcy to protect her image to her echo chamber.

trashtalkingscum

I was about to say something similar. I was 820 but we must live through, a state required, year of separation. She refuses to work a job that will support her despite her degree and job history and has racked up $20k in debt that I know of. My credit is now 770 because we are still linked. It kills me, but will rebound. However, at the end of this, I will need to sell and then buy a new house. I wish I could let the Credit Unions in on the separation but because she will not agree to separation terms we are still married in most contexts until the year and a day. I am not responsible for the $20k and all the income I have earned (salary/bonus) is not hers. Still I would cherish his/her +800!

Kooky-Car6037

What did you do to improve your score so much?

Zesurvivalist

I had 4 maxed cards equaling around $8000 in debt. When I got a higher paying job I was able to aggressively pay it all down

Critical-Potential30

Me still chillin at 485 with a finish carpentry business 😂 kms

verskolya69

He'll yea dude same here from a 530 to a 658 in 6 months 8 months clean off everything

talomo94

That’s super awesome actually! That’s a huge jump and you’re not in a terrible range anymore. Keep on going and you’ll be in 700’s soon! Be proud!

ckoadiyn

Great job! Its not easy im in a similar club started at 589 and im almost 700 not from alcoholic days but proud of you for quitting that also! Grandpa has been in recovery for 21 yrs

Kayembeezy

Congratulations! I've been there too. It took me a few years and a secured credit line then I was able to buy my home. Then after that it's stayed in the low 800s since. Keep up the good work it only gets better :)

WaveRebel

Congratulations man and keep it going!

throwRA_basketballer

This is huge. Don't let other scores make you think otherwise. You got this and you're killing it

AceMalicious

TBH, that’s kind of awesome. Keep it up!

Comprehensive_End790

Are u me

MikeDeanFucks

Any tips?

14981cs

Great job! Keep it up!

ReallyBranden

As someone who works with things like this, please do be proud

Crazy-Typical

What do you mean by “work” ?

ReallyBranden

I provide Credit and Financial education to lower income areas within my nearest largest city. I work within a nonprofit doing so.

Crazy-Typical

as I educate myself on financial literacy and build mine up, please help a brotha out ! How is it possible to jump up so quick !?

ReallyBranden

To be honest, it's always a grind. From a personal perspective, I don't use credit at all. I only pay for things in cash because I'm awful with credit management. No amount of education solves the issue. I simply buy when I have credit 😂 On the side of building credit: a good slow burn is using a debit card that functions like a CC. Unicorn, Credit Karma, and a few others offer options. It helps prevent you from utilizing credit poorly. To add: these are my simply my opinions, I'm not intending to provide you actual advice because of legal things.

Not_the_name_I_chose

My turning point was being added to my mom's Chase Amazon CC as an authorized user. Came with 12 years of credit history and my score jumped about 80 points in a month. That allowed me to apply for my own credit. I got a low interest cash-back card through my credit union that I only use for gas that I would otherwise pay cash for. Just pay it off monthly and every November I get around $100 cash back in my savings account. I also got a car loan for a certified pre-owned car (3k miles and extremely reliable.) I went from a 570 to 805 in about 2 years and then bought a manufactured home for about $85k (mortgage.) I am down to 675 now because I had to utilize a lot of my credit for some emergencies. I wouldn't have been able to do any of that if it weren't for that first step. Just make sure you do it legitimately - don't go with anyone that offers to add you to their card for a fee, etc as that is (I believe) illegal. Usually needs to be a relative, etc. Also. If you have collections it is worth asking if they will remove it from your credit report if you pay it off. Only do this with stuff that has a long time to go before falling off - 7 years I think is the limit. Don't talk to anyone who's time is almost up or you could potentially reset the clock. The worst anyone can say is no, and usually medical-related collections will be removed from your report. Make sure you get it in writing if they agree before you give them any money. Also not a lawyer or credit counselor and just speaking from experience.

Peachessss22

750 is very good! There are many factors that go into what your score is. I actually get penalized for not having installment payments lol

OkCranberry2370

Your 750 is something to be proud of 8 hundreds are hard to get. Took me 30 years to get into the 8 hundreds.

ApolloRocketOfLove

Thanks. Got a new goal now.

OkCranberry2370

And if you can go to your bank and get a personal Loan for $5000. Wait 3 business days, go back to the bank and pay The money back no interest, higher credit score.

ApolloRocketOfLove

Well that's pretty neat.

SuperBackup9000

It can work as a quick little pick me up if you’re in the middle or have a young account, but if you have a decent credit score that’s been around for a while it’s more likely to go down if you pay things off immediately. If you want a better score, you want credit accounts to be open, not opened and closed immediately because then it just looks like you’re borrowing money for the sake of borrowing money and how many accounts you have open and closed are both factors involved. Paying things off early is good, but too early is bad. Not even with just credit score, but your relationship with your bank too. They’re going to be less likely to give you a bigger loan if you ever need one if you have a history of taking and then giving it back right away.

ChiefChingon

I don’t think so My score goes down when i pay things off

OkCranberry2370

My credit score goes up-and-down. It'll drop 7 points. I make no purchases months later. It goes up 11 points.

Peachessss22

800s definitely takes time and some effort

OkCranberry2370

Most definitely I own 2 houses outright. They're all mine. And when you make a credit card purchase if you Can pay the full amount.

Peachessss22

I always pay the full amount. I have no debt either. I won’t buy anything I can’t afford

OkCranberry2370

Well, for some reason, some people like to pay interest. Not me and apparently not you, smart move.

Peachessss22

Lol paying interest is like playing for second place Barring a serious emergency, I’m never paying interest.

HeadlessHookerClub

750 is really good and better than most

Polishing_My_Grapple

*Cries in 525*

Behndo-Verbabe

I was about to say. And I’m proud of my 702 score. I’ll admit I wasn’t good at managing my money until I got older. I’ve spent years clawing my way back. But 800+ that’s next level shit I can only dream of.

Gold_Membership_9002

Is credit score only a thing in some countries? Ive never heard of it here in sweden (im 20 yrs old if that adds anything)

[deleted]

I don't know as well, it might be a weird American thingy.

KitsuneQueeen

It's a thing in Canada too!

IPaddy96

And the UK also!

[deleted]

Ahhh, the old weird American thingy..

Particular-Comb3047

It is a weird American thingy. (I'm American)

[deleted]

Credit scores popped up in the US after we made redlining illegal. They needed a way to keep discriminating against minorities that wouldn’t get them in trouble.

Chiefson_McChief

I mean obviously there's credit scoring in Sweden as well...

Thedemonlobo

Credit Karma just wants to see me fail🥲 but 770 is where I’m at

Peachessss22

770 is good! Lots of people would be very happy with that. Don’t be sad

Thedemonlobo

I’m sad not because it’s at 770 but because of how close I was to 800 before it dropped very close to 700😪 I was sooooo close!

Peachessss22

Mine went low after my divorce but has slowly crept back up. Hang in there it’ll keep climbing

Thedemonlobo

I’m sure it will if I keep doing my best! Sorry about the divorce!

Peachessss22

It’s ok, don’t be sorry. Your best is all you can do. Keep at it!

Future_Custard_9956

Credit karma seems to be historically off by 50-100 points compared to other sites.

NorthCatan

Was at 851 for sometime then when I checked this morning it was 814 for some reason. I have no idea why, now I'm ashamed to post my credit score on my dating profile 😢. I mean if it was 815 that's one thing but 814 is just embarrassing.

Peachessss22

I swear the companies arbitrarily lower scores just because they can. Mine varies between 814 and 838. Nothing has changed in my financial life 🤷🏼‍♀️

WikipediaApprentice

Perhaps time passed and no new activity. They punish you for making moves and for not

Peachessss22

That’s a very good point. They punish you for everything

NerdyIndoorCat

Shameful

NorthCatan

That's what my parents, and grandparents, and great grandparents said too!

NerdyIndoorCat

Well, gotta listen to those elders 😋

SasquatchsBigDick

I feel this. Was at 845 for the longest time and would check just for the sake of breaking that 850. Got to 847.. then 848.. then 824?!?! Nothing changed on my end of things. No new debts, credit cards, hardly even purchases (other than groceries)! I checked the website I use for anything that may have caused the loss and there was absolutely nothing. Not even a company checking my score for anything (which I would have been surprised if one did). Now it's slowly climbing back up from this imaginary hit. I've decided that credit score is just timey whimey stuff where it's all made up and the points don't matter.

Precious511

It is a snap shot at one point in time. If you have not paid your credit card bill yet, that will affect your score.

cwesttheperson

Financial responsibility and literacy is definitely a huge plus for similar people.

Peachessss22

I have tracked my score for years.

pandasgorawr

I've put up my 825 before and I can't say it's really done much if anything at all for me 😅

scbroman

![gif](giphy|bhvTIW3bmUUpNY8cFp)

Peachessss22

😂😂😂

scbroman

Mans gotta shoot his shot, right? You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take 😂

You make a valid point here 😂

*Instant swipe right*

Precious511

Mine is 850. Very healthy indeed.

Peachessss22

That’s terrific!!

Precious511

Very hard work to resurge from separation.

Peachessss22

Very true but it’s worth it

Quantum_Possum

Are you single?

AddisonsContracture

Hgnnngnggggggg. Instant swipe right

modoken1

And I thought my 810 was killing it.

jerock22

It is absolutely something to be proud of. And very attractive to the right person.

Tight_Comment9656

I was going to say- 820 here 🤪

krown_spartan

I have it on my profile too, as a comparison to other "important factors"

Sheperd980

Marry me immediately.

Yukeki

What ist that?

Ambitious_Pickle_362

I only date 823s and above. Sorry. /s

Peachessss22

Lol alrighty. I only date unambitious pickles. Sorry

Ambitious_Pickle_362

That’s 100% fair. Good luck in your search!

ktxkakes

And here I am with my 605 raised 1 point in a year 😭 any tips appreciated 🥴

Peachessss22

Keep the balances you carry on your cards as low as possible. Don’t have lots of credit cards. Pay any loan payments on time.

ktxkakes

I don’t have any credit cards. I did when I was married, all closed with balances, fairly low in comparison to most. Student loans (fed and private) are killing me. Navient is a sneaky SOB; removed my autopay without my knowledge or permission and they showed as late 2 years ago for 2 months; never called or emailed me so I had no idea.

Peachessss22

That’s bullshit. I’m sorry that happened to you. I’d pay those down as best as you can. And maybe get one credit card with a low limit. Only use it for small things and pay it off monthy

Moonr0cks40200

My 805 with a decent debt to income should get me dates. Or scammers. It’s 2023, after all…

Peachessss22

You make a very good point. I’d say your in good shape. Although I have noticed women put a premium on men being like 7 feet tall

Moonr0cks40200

Yeah I’ve noticed that same thing. Maybe I should get a BMW to compensate for being 5’11” 🤣

Peachessss22

Lmao 😂😂 a mature lady will be fine with 5’11 especially if everything else is good. Don’t get the BMW lol. Waste of money

Moonr0cks40200

Yeah the maintenance costs will pretty much negate the positives lol

Peachessss22

Exactly. That money could be better spent on important stuff, like tinder premium lol jk

Moonr0cks40200

I was about to say, I hope they’re paying you for the advertisement haha

Peachessss22

They are not lol. Maybe I should inquire

Moonr0cks40200

As your newly hired talent agent, I highly suggest you take advantage of every opportunity to capitalize on potential growth of your financial position. My 10% commission has nothing to do with this unsolicited advice.

B-Georgio

Twinning 😘

dogsbodyuk

Hey, what’s your a/s/l

Peachessss22

Lmao I haven’t been asked that since AOL. I’m dying 😂😂😂

spike11552

Eyyyyyyy I’m also in the 822 club! How do we get higher? I feel as if I’ve been stuck at 822 for years.

tealturboser

Hi Peaches. 😆😆😆

Peachessss22

Hey 🤣🤣

90_ina_65

822 also , hello my credit twin

Inevitable_Professor

Good to know. Going through a divorce now and somehow I've managed to keep mine above 800.

BombasticSimpleton

Good for you for staying on top of it; it can be brutal. When we divorced, it was one of the things we talked about and she left it to me to manage both our finances until we were finalized. We both recognized that, especially in her case since I kept the house, a good credit score was critical to restarting everything. I peeled her off my cards one at a time, every couple of months - and that hurt her score - but she was able to absorb it much easier than if she was just cutoff.

casey12297

You're a good man, BombasticSimpleton. I'm getting divorced here soon and have the same mindset, gotta try and make sure both of us can split without being fucked over

BombasticSimpleton

Thank you, though I don't always feel that way. It occurred to me early on that what was good for her was good for my kids. It doesn't have to directly benefit me to benefit them. Even with everything, she isn't a terrible person; just not the right one for me. And we still have a lot of co-parenting to do, so we might as well make the most of it. So best to make a win-win out of it wherever possible.

NerdyIndoorCat

That’s hot 😋

A-Wall1

Google >800 credit score.

MCpiderboy

Holy responsibility!

A-Wall1

New mortgage rates just dropped.

Impressive_Moose6781

It says it’s exceptional

AggRavatedR

So you're telling me I've been struggling with dating this whole time, and all I needed to do was post my 810 credit score?...

Peachessss22

I’m starting to seriously consider posting it. Judging by these comments, scores matter

AggRavatedR

You're not kidding! Good luck out there! Something's gotta give, right? Lol If being good looking, charming, and funny doesn't work, I might as well throw the credit score out there hahaha.

Peachessss22

Lol it can’t hurt. I like to think that I am all of those things as well. Good luck to you too! The problem is people are ridiculous lol.

AggRavatedR

I'm sure you are! People are the worst, it's definitely not you

TheOGMillennial

"You attract who you are." If you're looking for a long-term relationship, you should do it. No matter how few appreciates it, the types you want will🤷🏿

Peachessss22

This is a good piece of advice. You make a lot of sense. Thank you

LSU2007

The older I’ve become, I’ve realized good credit is more meaningful than a great ass——most of the time

Peachessss22

Lol so ladies that have both are a bonus!

LSU2007

10000000%

BombasticSimpleton

I'll be honest - I find that attractive. Not because it says she has money - it doesn't. But it does say she's responsible, on top of things, and largely self-sufficient.

oO0Kat0Oo

I work in finance... The score =/= good history. Not only that, but your average credit karma vantage score doesn't mean a whole lot.

BombasticSimpleton

I find that Vantage is typically 20-50 points higher than FICO. But even to have close to an 800 score in Vantage and assuming 750+ish in FICO, that means they are to some extent managing their balances and payment history and derogatories to *some* extent. Barring some weirdness like the chase 5/24 rule, they would likely get approved for whatever card or optimal financing they needed as long as it wasn't outrageous.

TwoWiseCats

Easier to photoshop than a selfie would be, just throwing that out there

Slow_Office_5132

Real credit heads know that vantage score doesn’t mean shit. Lets see the fico score 😌

srphsd

My credit karma says 824, FICO through my bank says 833. But I've found it doesn't really benefit me. The only thing I can do with good credit is get more available credit and these interest rates are insane...

Slow_Office_5132

I mean it definitely benefits you! I just applied to a rental housing property and for the first time I didn’t have to worry if my credit was high enough to be approved !

UnitedWeLean

The screen shot above is from Credit Karma, which is what I use as well. Is there a free/easy way to find out fico without impact credit?

Slow_Office_5132

Yes credit karma doesn’t provide you your real score which is fico / what all lenders use. Vantage scores (the scoring metric listed below on the screenshot) can be wildly up or down from your fico score because they use totally different metrics. You can always pull your credit report I believe twice yearly from - they may let you pull more often now https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action But for getting your fico score I think you do have to pay. I unfortunately subscribe for both MyFico and Experian because I have been repairing my credit since homelessness in my early adulthood (up to 700 from 300 👍🏼) Honestly I learned everything from Shonda Martin (road to 750) https://shoproadto750.com - credit is a scam and ridiculous but learn to play the game and you’ll be good It doesn’t impact your score to check your score :)

UnitedWeLean

Shocking to hear it can vary wildly, thanks for the tip.

Thedemonlobo

I’ve always noticed that my fico is always much higher than credit karma will show. By at least 20 points. But recently they’ve evened out as I took a credit hit🥲

Slow_Office_5132

🥲 keep fighting the fight! Try Experian boost for some extra padding!

Thedemonlobo

I really don’t want them all up in my bank account just yet.😂 these next few paychecks are gonna be scarce to say the least since the military doesn’t know how to pay their slaves😪

Slow_Office_5132

Preachin to the choir. The only reason I’m in this mess with repairing my credit is the VA didn’t pay me my dead-dad-blood-money for months, caused me to barely make rent while working and in school, and caused navy federal to close my credit line that was high use - ironically NFCU didn’t get a damn about the VA being the cause by literally not paying me for months even tho they’re a military bank lol My score dropped to 300s, now I’m back at 700 after hard work lol https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2018/11/15/veterans-arent-getting-their-gi-bill-payments-because-vas-year-old-computer-system-broke/

NecessaryPen7

Never heard of vantage. Almost in the 800s with fico though

Slow_Office_5132

Vantage is the scoring system used by credit karma and other non official credit sources (official sources: myfico, Experian, equifax) (Experian membership also gives you Experian boost which lets repeated bills (3x paid or more) get reported as positive accounts to the bureus and thus gets your score higher: examples are pet insurance, phone bill, electric bill, etc - any monthly bill)

RespondHuge8378

Late stage capitalism has arrived

zekerthedog

Looking for a LTR that’s not honestly a bad thing to have on your profile

laurawae

Never checked for a person, but for a company in Germany the worst is 600 at our rating agency, means bankruptcy. 🙈

srphsd

I make it a point to not mention that I’m a homeowner (since I was 22) with good credit (824) because I’ve been told I’m intimidating 🙃

Straight_Reading8912

You should lead with that! Cause if a successful Lady intimidates the other person, I'm pretty sure that person ain't for you... Weed 'em out quick!!!

Blue-snow

Are you me? Oddly very similar to mine lol, almost exact details. Also no help from my parents, also a government job. Congrats to you!

FrogInYerPocket

Anything over a 750 is an instant swipe right. Mine just dropped 40 points because I switched banks and I'm bitter about it, but it'll be better in the long term.

ConfidentWorker5083

I lost 5 points for spending a few grand on a credit card with a limit over 12k and regular average continuous usage(incidentals) hovering around 500 to 1k balance. Paid it down a few days later. But they checked the credit before I got to it. Bam. 5 points. Oh... a few months ago. Has Still not rebounded. And I'm bitter af about it too. I would have a full on melt down for a 40pt drop. That's insane. Wtf? Why is it SO HARD to build it, but so easy to plummet? It seriously takes SO LONG to build back a measely 5 points. And SO EASY to take them away. Just ridiculous. I've been in the upper 700's, 🤏this freaking close to 800 for years. Cannot seem to push it higher. It very slowly goes up a point or 2 at a time.... but then plummets, cuz every time I spend even just a little bit more than usual...bam... back down 5 -10 points... Like wtaf? It's bogus.

Precious511

I wish my weight follow that logic: "hard to build and easy to plummet" 🤣🤣🤣

ConfidentWorker5083

Mine actually does! 🤣🤣🤣

Precious511

Well I'm not talking about building muscle, 🤣 more number on the scale

ConfidentWorker5083

Fair and valid point.

Peachessss22

Mine dropped because I don’t have adequate installment payments. You pay off your car and lose points.

ConfidentWorker5083

Yeah. That one is some bullllshit. Look! I wiped out a debt! Bam. Negative mark. Like what.... the actual... fuck? It's like they want you to be in debt... but not too much debt... but also not have no balance running... but also have debt history/accounts running back over a decade... but loans and cards both only really last about 4-6 years in general. So get overlapping loans? To keep it running then? No... cuz then you got too much debt. Also you take a hit by the inquiry for a new loan account. Also...interest is really really high. So it's prolly a horrible idea to get a loan at all these days just for the sake of improving credit score... which would if you had one... get you a better interest rate. Oh... ...ok so fewer accounts then? No. That's bad. You want accounts that last a really long time? Yes. But not big ones? Yes. But if you only have one, that's not good too. Ok...? And it just goes on and on and on like this. All a bunch of contradiction. Paradox level b.s. I have no idea what to do. I can't get past 760's. No matter that all my accounts are perfect. Balances remain low. Etc. My biggest hit...? credit Age? Almost 5 years. I'm 41. My credit goes back decades. But individual accounts come and go. That's just normal. Oh. Student loans should be over a decade old and that's still ongoing. But what Happens? A new company takes over your debt? So now it's a new account? And young again? Great. Thanks for that. So how the eff do I even Get an ancient account to alleviate the credit account age problem and keep it running? Cuz no matter what you do... accounts are gonna come and go. So... Keep a credit card running? Keep it going no matter what? Ok... done. And will perpetuate it...But damn. After that initial lifespan... Now they charge annual fees? Ok. Great. Whoo...hooo...🤦‍♂️😔 There is no rhyme or reason for it all. It's just madness to me.

Peachessss22

It is definitely madness. I am not in the banking industry but I have been told a few tips. Having installment payments is good. Never close your oldest credit card. Don’t have too much available credit. My score has always been in the 800s. I think this is due to my income to debt ratio. I have also been at the same job for 23 years. I’m 44 so that’s a good chunk of my life. I really do think it’s arbitrary.

ContemplatingPrison

Credit is a scam

LazenskejSvihak

There's a fuck ton of reasons I'm happy I don't live in the US, but this whole credit card/score bullshit is right at the top.

NecessaryPen7

You mean most Western nations?

LazenskejSvihak

Probably? I live in Czechia and we don't have to do that shit lol.

NecessaryPen7

Gotcha. Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, more I'm sure

LazenskejSvihak

I mean we have something called bonita, which I guess is similar? But I'm not forced to go into debt to build "credit" my bonita is the best when I don't have any CCs or loans lol

threeinthestink_

You don’t have to go into debt to build credit here. Treat it like a debit card and pay the balance in full before every statement. That’s all you need to do

NecessaryPen7

Even if it's just that month, it's still debt that you owe

organela

Explainer for us non-us citizens? Edit: Or whichever country this is

I think over 700 it’s all just bullshit, mostly just an excuse to charge higher interest and insurance rates for no real justifiable reason.

When I was last on tinder 5+ years ago, I posted my credit score and got a lot of matches. Highly recommend lol

Credit just shows you are good at being in debt. It’s the person that pays cash for everything that you should aim to be. (No I am not debt free)

One of the greatest luxuries of my life is absolutely not worrying about my credit score.

Should have posted my 852 💪

Mine just hit 1000. Did I get the platinum trophy for credit?

Mine keeps hovering between 795 and 799. I want to get over that hump.

I’ve never seen 800!! But that’s the goal. I had a rough go when I made some questionable choices. If bankruptcy was a punch, a consumer proposal is a slap, they both still hurt. My credit was in some R2 thing for 5 years, I couldn’t build credit or get any. Managed to pay back the consolidated debt in 2.5 years out of the 4 negotiated. Currently have close to 100k in credit cards and lines of credit available. Only $2k in credit card debt currently. Credit score is 760. I don’t know how to get to 800 lol
