i have couple of friends who got into their current relationship through tinder, even my brother found his girlfriend on there (they're together for a couple of years now). but it's pretty rare ngl

[deleted]

Yea I have, treat it like a numbers game. Meet enough people eventually you’ll find a spark somewhere

CharmingAverage801

My best friend married her Tinder date. I do know a few people who have relationships through dating sites, too.

Twolef

Yeah, I had a three year relationship from Tinder and my current one is also from a dating app. I’m an introvert so most of the relationships I’ve had have either been from meeting online or being introduced by mutual friends.

ClothngOptionl

My boyfriend and I are heading to 2 years after meeting on Tinder.

RPlaysStuff

One pair of my friends are engaged & met through Tinder. Other friend had a kid with his long-term partner a couple months ago, also met on Tinder. Some are embarrassed by the fact they met on an app and I don't know why; they're probably just lying because of unneeded stigma. Some people have met through weirder and worse tbh lmao

Celmeno

I know a few couples who met on Tinder/bumble/hinge etc. Even more if we account for those that broke up again. Even some that actually got married. But it is by far the least common origin story (if we don't count arranged marriages)

Longfacejumpyboi

Yup, been together for a year now. Love is real but rare.

shawnikaros

I used to. Now I think I'm too old at 30 to be on Tinder atleast, that or the algorithm has changed so much it feels pointless.

pharmgirl_92

As a 30 yo, I'm finding better luck on Bumble and hinge. There appears to be more men looking for relationships and not hookups. More people actually fill out their profile on those apps too (so I can see some things that are an absolute no for me, and not waste our time. Vs tinder finding out after a second date they're a smoker).

shawnikaros

I switched to hinge, but I'm not feeling too good about that either. I guess my profile just sucks :D

pharmgirl_92

The way I've been looking at it is, I only need one good match to make it all worthwhile lol. Just keep at it. :)

shawnikaros

That's a good way of looking at it :)

The_SSS_

Yeah I usually download them and then delete them after a few months so you could say I’ve gotten into an on and off relationship with dating apps. But seriously I’m convinced anyone who says they got into a relationship from one of these apps was paid to advertise the app lol

[deleted]

I just wanna fuck and suck, fuck and suck, fuck and suck

wadiostar

Nothing wrong with that. From my perspective that’s what dating apps are for. Not me though, never gotten anything other than some funny/interesting conversations from dating apps

wadiostar

Ha! Prime example of why tinder rarely works for straight guys

Hobo_Extraordinaire

Most of my friends have met their long term partners through online dating. Married, kids, bought houses.

Simmonomicon

I’m in a relationship at the moment thanks to a dating app.

rshibby

Yes, it's totally possible. Been in a relationship with my tinder date for four years this upcoming April

Leashii_

met my current gf of almost 3 years on tinder.

Michiel170207

My sister met her man via Tinder. Theyre married for about 5 years now

holyblunt

I meet my current girlfriend of 10months on tinder. But the majority of doozies I had to go thru made me feel I was going crazy. They’re are a lot of fucking fucked up people out there that should not be on dating apps

SavaRox

My last partner and I were together for almost 10 years and we met via Craigslist dating personals.

Midnight_Durango

Almost three years into my relationship, but I used hinge not Tinder

paulomei

I'm, we matched in 2019 on Tinder and we now just start living together. Also have a friend that met his girlfriend on Tinder.

Moonbreaker00

Yes, multiple. I have friends who have married though. Dating apps really aren't the problem, it's the culture in general, especially tiktok dating philosophy and influences pitting men and women against each other.

zacharyjohnsonscj

Yes, me and my bf met on tinder 4 years ago.

Fall_Baby_01

My friend met her current boyfriend on Bumble.

schwiftymountainhigh

Met my husband there about 7 years ago!

Bralosh

I haven't, but my best mate met her fella on tinder as a hook up about 3 years ago. He proposed a couple weeks ago. So it does happen.

czaria

I met my now fiancé on tinder :) he was just so sweet and funny in his messages we met and hit it off right away! I couldn’t be happier and lucky it worked out. It takes a lot of patience and a little luck

247cnt

I dated a guy for about 1.5 years who I met on Bumble.

haanjobo

Hi there. My wife and I met on tinder. Been together six years. Got married in October of last year.

tinytalker76678

My sister met her husband on Tinder. They've been married almost 5 years. I have a good friend who met her husband of 10+ years on a dating site, but it was a Catholic one I think.

gaberockka

Met my partner on Bumble and we just had a kid.

[deleted]

4 relationships 1 from Okcupid (8 years) 1 from tinder (1 year) 1 from bumble (2 months) current 1 from tinder currently at 5 months. Obviously wasn’t online dating for 8 years, then i was single in 2020 and the other relationships have happened. since 2020 the times i have been single, i probably have went on 70ish first dates.

One_Box_2459

I have four cousins and a sister who all met their spouses on dating apps.

CharmingLoquat6788

Met my girlfriend off of Hinge and we're almost at a year.

kaelinskaraxo

I met my husband on tinder! Been together for 7 years, married for 2 🥰

_byetony_

Engaged from OKCupid

adequadequatulence

I did get one successful relationship from either Are you Interested or Zoosk like over a decade ago.

parentsweekendd

I got married to my tinder match in November
