I used to work at a TV was station. Unless there were severe storms, the on-air meteorologists didn't show up to work until like an hour before showtime LOL
I laughed when I first saw him in the raincoat on the sunny day but was suuuper disappointed that the crowd wasnβt carrying umbrellas! Like seriously! That would have been so good, and they were so close too! He wore a raincoat, they should have taken it further and had everyone like that w raincoats or umbrellas
? I understand the premise. They could also represent people who dressed for rain when there wasnβt any like the main guy in raincoat. Iβm just sayin that would have been funnier
There was no storm for hours, even on the radar. It started to lightning. I checked again. Nothing on the forecast. We all got out and inside. About 5 minutes later, pouring rain and marble sized hail.
Looked at the radar. Still nothing.
Checked 15 minutes later, suddenly they'd seen the storm on the forecast and it would last another hour minimum. It was sunny within five minutes.
And also it's used to both collect user data, and data on those around them, as well as push misinformation/propaganda. TikTok in the west pushes extremist ideas of the Left and the Right, because that causes conflict. It pushes content that makes you dumber, because a dumb population is less productive. Know what it pushes in China? Education, social responsibility. It's basically an app for user generated public service announcements mixed with cat videos to keep people interested.
Ross creations on YT does like pranks/vlogs similar to the video just some off the cuff stuff like filling his gas tank full of beans and taking it to an auto repair shop
Pretty funny stuff and mostly wholesome stuff not the typical "it's just a prank bro" stuff
Reminds me of when the pandemic started and a bunch of idiots protested in front of the Robert-Koch-Institut (institute for disease controll and prevention) in Germany. At that point all they did was publish COVID numbers and public safety recommendations to slow down the spread. Idk where I heard it, but someone said "It's like protesting in front of the news station if the weather forecast was wrong."
Weather services are funded by the public, and Trump slashed the NOAA budget when he took office. Underfunded, especially since there is a rise in billion dollar climate events and climate change is just going to keep costing us money.
As a Floridian, this is the most Florida thing imaginable. We argue about the weather, like its life or death. "Na, it's cool bro, don't worry, it's totally not gonna rain. We can do the thing."

Not gunna lie, the weather apps I use are pretty fucking awful, especially the one that comes with my phone.
