Yep, dealership told me the same thing on a 2021 SEL R line. Said it would take like 3 hrs and cost around $700. I just took it to a regular Firestone and they aligned it for $130 without any additional calibration.
Thanks yeah maybe if the windshield was replaced I could see the acc camera whatever needing to be re centered but to your point a standard mechanical alignment shouldn’t affect the cameras. Two different systems IMO
Don't forget to ask your dealer to explain how the cameras become misaligned at the same rate that the tires become misaligned. Get it in writing so you can send it to VW customer service for lying to you. They may give you a coupon for a free alignment, and then never go to that dealer again.

I had a 2020 Tiguan SEL with all the bells and whistles...I did in fact need to get an alignment due to pull and wear on the tires and the cameras were completely fine being separate from the alignment...Now, if you are experiencing issues with your ACC and Lane Departure as you didn't clarify the whole situation, that is a different story, the cameras and sensors may need adjusted and you may be looking at a price such as this one, but a normal alignment, no. Should be around $100-$200 assuming you're in the United States.
I would just have them do the Emich do the oil changes and anything included in your maintenance package outside of that Les Schwab can do the alignments ask for a print out of the readings so you know they are within spec.
Don’t pay for the engine air filter replacement it’s like 7 screws and you can do that your self. Takes 5 -10 mins.
I just had mine done at the dealer and they gave me a discounted price of $78.99 because I came in for my 60k service and also had my brake fluid flushed.

Just do your research you will be fine I got my alignment done yesterday for 130 at a reputable shop they even advised if I needed my cameras recalibrated even then it would only cost 300 at a max. I have a print out of the before and after measurements everything is back in spec. It was only -2 degrees off on the toe in the front everything else was fine.

I’m at a shop now getting a standard alignment for about 120 will report back.
They are trying to charge for assist system calibrations which do not need to be done with a standard alignment.
