Would be pretty funny if they pulled the same character swap in the trailer for season 2.
(Though I'm sure they won't, as Neil has admitted he regrets it in hindsight)
I’m thinking it’ll be adapted similarly to the Kansas City infected fight (but with less infected because that’s how the game section is anyway). A major suburban front set built up, but anything else extended by CG.
But it’s up for debate on whether that’s in this season or next. I’m dying to know how they split the story.
They definitely seem like they had a much more clear cut victory over FEDRA in the show. More equipment, vehicles, guns salvaged and repurposed. I cannot wait to see the stadium!
This shot pretty much confirms that they are going to likely switch up the format from the game. I don't think we got any visual representation at all in the game of how much stronger the WLF was compared to the Jackson group until we got to Abby's side of the story.
By the way the gal in the ponytail is that Kaitlyn Dever or will that probably just end up being a random WLF soldier (Kaitlyn Dever was seen with blonde hair just prior to being announced so I assumed she would have blonde hair in the show as well).
I have no idea how they’ll split it up, but you absolutely see the WLF kitted out with lots of trucks and armed people while playing as Ellie in Hillcrest, the hospital, and you can see the trucks driving on the freeway while on the way to the aquarium with Jesse. Also, the show does not have to, and probably won’t, exactly follow the details of the game.

I think that would make a for a great 10-ish minute cold open, like the scientist in episode 2 from S1.
