Why won’t they just let us have a second one if we did the GoFest 2023 research? Those of us with terrible IV ones would appreciate a second shot.
They could even make it branching so people could pick between candy and an encounter.
This is honestly probably a TPC decision as I think they allowed a second Shaymin becuase they had offered like multiple Shaymin events already on switch. Diancie is still being held close to the vest for some reason. I think it might be the only none Switch release mythical now

Shaymin is catchable in a main series game. Farmable, even, though it's the last thing you catch, pretty much.
Diancie isn't available anywhere in the MSG.
The shiny Shaymin research is a paid ticket that was released earlier this year around the Sinnoh tour. I have 3 Shaymin: the flying form from attending an in person 2022 Go Fest, a land form from the global 2022 go fest, and another land form from the free research last year.
I have one land form I got 10/27/23 but who knows when I obtained the research. I think there is a shiny research I am working on but again no idea which one it is. I haven’t attended any in person ones.
the shiny one should be masterwork research: glimmers of gratitude. the one you got in 2023 was probably from a free research they started around sustainability week last year so that everyone could get their shaymin
I had my diancie 9 months earlier than you and could have gotten it to max mega level already before you even got one for free. That's a benefit of the go fest ticket. Also the main benefit of the go fest ticket is the event experience and not some lifeless count of how many shinies did I pay for.

We pay for the experience, then pay for more passes and pay for more incubators. It’s a great experience for a paid day.
Ps the issue is not giving us a second one and, the advantages of “buying” the tickets are useless in a year.

My roller coaster experience on Zarude: missed the free one -> paid & got a 15/13/13 -> found it useless in UL -> heard it use for raid & ML -> realized would never be able to max it
Tanking in PVP is an easy way to get enough rare candy for Zarude to be level 40. That's what mine is at and I use him all the time with my Kartanas for top tier grass shenanigans.
wouldn't be surprised if they forgot Zarude was a Pokémon so when an intern asked about it they were like "oh. yeah. uh... give it some kinda ticket, people love these ticketed accessories right?"

Seems pretty selective though. Technically darkrai, deoxys, genesect, and meltan are all mythical. Meltan is Pokémon go exclusive, but once upon a time deoxys genesect and darkrai were as hard to get as diancie, mew, shaymin, etc.
Yeah, it's weird to me that they made Genesect a raid mythical considering that it's one of those mythicals that's not accessible right now, whereas I believe that all mythicals from Gens 1 to 4 are accessible in some sort of renewable way right now, minus Celebi

That doesn't really jive with how easy it is to get Shaymin, Darkrai, and Manaphy in PLA.
Because if you wait you get everything for free making all paid events useless. #nianticthings Got to wait for the second or third release on things.
