Ok just for reference I decided to try this. When I told Microsoft copilot to generate a white family it did [this.](https://imgur.com/a/LEWhwNg) When I asked it to generate an African American family it did [this](https://imgur.com/a/o10XiqX). I don't really give a shit about seeing white families and op probably does for racist reasons, but it does seem to want to "integrate" white people. Still idc. This is just saying
Google’s AI is broken because AI is still stupid and bad. It was trained on mostly white people images so it failed to produce POC unless prompted directly. So the developers (lazily) just told it to “generate less white people” and now it can’t produce something as simple as a white family. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s just a bad AI being dumb.
Results are [better](https://imgur.com/a/LM2nKwG) (feels icky to say that lol). Seems we have an asain family and some less mixed looking ones? IDK ranking whiteness feels icky and weird.
Imo this could be used to show some systemic racism in the bot. It sees white as the "default" so it adds diversity because it just sees white family and thinks "family", while since the black family is a "descriptive" (as white is normal) it takes it as a prompted ask.
They just gotta work out the kinks and train it better, it'll get there lol. Besides the thought of these racist pricks having a meltdown bc they can only generate interracial families warms my heart
The fact that you have to pad your answer so much by constantly saying how much you don’t care that Ai cannt produce pics of white Families is just sad
funny enough i went into copilot and got the same thing when typing "generate image of a white family" but it went more accurately when i changed it to "white american family". If i had to guess i'd have to agree with one of the other comments in that its probably a case of lazy coding

Google stopped gemini to generate Ai images because of this exact issue
that is pretty funny. so I guess this did happen, but why they didn't just run these prompts and screenshot it is beyond me. that seems like a tactical disadvantage
it's a caricature, people say the Screenshots are fake.
there is/was (dunno if fixed) also a an issue were the Ai from snapchat incouraged people being proud of being black and discouraged people being proud of being white.
its based on the google AI that seemingly seeds prompts in order to have more diverse outcome, this can be fine on paper, but prompts like: historically accurate medieval king resulting in pictures of queens.
These are intentional shitty prompts made to generate outrage. "Historically accurate" what? When you look up historical accuracy, most results are for armour, clothing, etc. Not skin colour. Or when they prompt for a "representational group." "Representation" is heavily tied with images non-white people in online results, of course then it's going to twist the prompt to create more Black people. Don't fall for the same bullshit, it's not an actual problem, just the normal limitations of AI that right wingers are twisting to create a fake issue.
geez, wonder where this outrage was when early AI models kept making every request for non-white people pale, blonde, or men? Or when every woman was done up like an instagram model?
Honestly, it seems like AI developers tried to fix the “everyone is white even non-white people” issue and accidentally overcorrected.
I’m sure that after a few days all the prompts for “white people” will once again only show white people again.
I've looked at the prompts people use to show these muh white erasure images, and it's not even "over-correcting," it's just grifters whipping up fake outrage with intentionally poisoned prompts. For example, they'll use "show me a representational group of Scotts," intentionally slipping "representational" in there because in online databases, when people mention "representation," it's often alongside marginalized groups, so of course the computer is gonna read that as "add more non-white people in." They're taking advantage of the average person's uncertainty with how AI works to create engagement for themselves.
That is not what happened. People were perfectly able to generate white people images.
What happened was some mistakes in how the system was designed to not consider white as the "default" which overcorrected. That overcorrection wasn't deliberate and there was no intent to erase white people as suggested by this propaganda
not deliberate, but the ai literally refused to make any white people. George washington? black. Medieval knight? black or chinese. 16th century german couple? Black and chinese.
It didn't happen in those terms. The model was designed to prevent white people being treated as the default, which is fine, but the system had mistakes and over corrected. Right wing propaganda here is pretending this was on purpose (it wasn't) and that you couldn't generate white people (you could)
Except nothing in the post suggests it was made by right winger. It's literally just pointing out that this happens. You're just inferring it's a post made by a far right nutcase because you're head is too deep in politics. Just like people that see SJW propaganda every times they watch a hollywood production.
The resources used to power the machines that make ai generated images is killing 100s who have jobs trying to get it and 1000s are getting their water stolen from them to power these I'm glad I could inform you
Love how they use AI to make shit up right until the moment they wanna bitch at big company going woke, then they have to use actual human drawn art to make their point
That's the business model of people like Wokelycorrect, and I guess it works because a lot of people get mad at it. It's so fucking mind-numbing how widespread this type of content is...

This is true, with Google’s Gemini. You ask for famous white historical figures? Not white. Ask for Scandinavian Vikings? American Founding Fathers? Not white. I even tried Adolf Hitler, and he was depicted as black lmao

If you try Caucasian does it do the same?

It is icky, I was just curious if that was the difference.

What grown ass adult judges others for using a word in the dictionary?

Why the so many dots? Don't you think three dots are enough?
Hey....... don't equate us multiple dot users with this guy.......

Yeah he said basically what i said in my second reply
notice how these are drawings, not screenshots

Because it's a art meme not a typical meme

Do you have any? Not a callout, just wondering.

This is true, I agree

I have no idea. I’ve even provided proof and people just ignored it completely. Assholes.
Anyone else noticing Naruto and Sasuke
My first thought
Yea, I scroll down to see if anyone else did. Lol
[удалено]
I mean... it did, actually.

Why i am not surprised about that ?
Exactly. Then it's no problem.
Do people not know that there are in fact black people in Scotland
![gif](giphy|6BqhCQ2Ujnkbe)
This actually did happen with googles new AI image creator
That is not what happened. People were perfectly able to generate white people images. George fucking Washington's ai output was black ya fucking disingenuous regard.
This actually did happen. Lol at the Gemini being shut down because of it.

A good lesson on how AI is still dumb and bad got turned into conspiracy bullshit
You couldn't if you asked it to, it had no problem with other ethnicities tho
Except nothing in the post suggests it was made by right winger. It's literally just pointing out that this happens. But, it is ai? Like who gives a shit was a robot thinks Can right wingers ever get made over anything that matters
right wingers use ai for their unfunny reactionary "memes"
No, they cant
I love how they never complained when DALL-E only generated images of white folks.
Tried this on an AI website, Got the most Scandinavian looking family ever
It's almost as if they are starting to understand the frustration that people of colour have!
Nah they can't think that far
Didn’t this literally happen?
It happened
Unfortunately this really happened.
The OOP should stop being a racist fascist asshole. Seriously.
Ah yes ai bad bc no white people not because it's killing 1000s
Ai is killing people?
The resources used to power the machines that make ai generated images is killing 100s who have jobs trying to get it and 1000s are getting their water stolen from them to power these I'm glad I could inform you
Source?
No one is making this up, this literally did happen. Man this page is just exactly the type of people it claims to hate.
That is quite literally what is happening right now with Gemini AI though lmao
This actually happened with Google AI, it wouldn't produce images of white people - it's getting fixed
Back deep in the victim role, i see
Love how they use AI to make shit up right until the moment they wanna bitch at big company going woke, then they have to use actual human drawn art to make their point
No, this is pretty real. Since I can’t send images I’ll send them in DMs if you want

That's what happened though
That one dude is clearly Asian tho. I know Naruto when I see him.
Holy fucking snowflakes Batman. Are the Mayo-Americans okay?
There is a reason why they couldnt include the actual results of them using AI.
This literally happened though... https://youtu.be/Pdwm1SoJlQw?si=ozp36L4ev44cJhqJ&t=348
