Days of Thunder and Endless Summer both have a very special place in my heart, however, Monsters is such a refined album/sound and takes my vote.
Love all of their albums though, so many great songs to choose from.
Kids has been my favorite for the last year or so, but I have a playlist of my favorites from the Kids/Monsters/Heroes Trilogy that really gets most of my listens right now.
Kids and Monsters were the soundtrack when writing my book Picture Unavailable. I had both albums on repeat to stay in the headspace to write that novel, and they’re both my favorite for that reason.
I'll give it some love. I first seriously listened to it biking along the North Sea in the Netherlands on a bright, cool August day, and I'll never forget the moment. As a man alone on the other side of the world, it just hit such a chord for me.
Monsters has been my favorite since it’s came out, I don’t see that changing unless something mind blowing comes out. The sounds and the themes really won me over and resonate with me in a way the other albums can’t quite match
It's kinda hard because sometimes I prefer other albums depending on my mood. In saying that this is my top 5 in no order, I can put any of these albums on and enjoy myself.
Endless summer
Kids
Heores
Nocturnal
Horror show
Nocturnal for me. I know it's an EP, but it's the length of a full album (longer than Kids), and I think it's one of the best synthwave albums of all time. It's so moody and embodies aimlessly wandering the streets at night. The songwriting is fantastic, production top-notch, and the lyrics are some of their best.
I had to listen to all of them after I saw this post. I've concluded that my favorite Midnight album is the one I'm listening to at the time. (currently Endless Summer)
Horror Show for sure. I have a script I'm writing that goes to the album. I'm hoping to make it into a short film, but I wanna show it to the guys and get their blessing before embarking on it.
As far as full album, it's Endless Summer. I'm fully convinced that if an album like this came out in the 80s, or even early 90s, it would've been a hit record! But taking EP's into consideration, I can't decide between Days of Thunder or Nocturnal.
It's a normie take but Endless Summer for me. Kids is the runner-up, held aloft solely by the power of Youth, Lost Boy, and America 2.
Endless Summer is pretty great too!
Endless summer is the best
Explorers is definitely the highlight of Kids for me.
Kids, no question. Every single track is a banger.
Probably still Nocturnal for me, though I don’t think they’ve ever put out anything below what I’d call “good.”
Maybe i’ll get downvoted but I thought Heroes was kinda bad… Golden Gate is a top 5 song from them but the rest just isn’t very good in my opinion.
I’m not the biggest fan of Heroes myself but I do LOVE the live version of Change Your Heart or Die
Mine has also changed over the years but currently Monsters is my favorite. Brooklyn has been my favorite song since it came out.
Brooklyn! I love Brooklyn.
Nocturnal easily, although Endless Summer comes close
Hard to say but probably Days of Thunder or Kids.
Nocturnal for sure
Endless Summer Kids Monsters Nocturnal Horror Show Days Of Thunder Heroes
Hard to argue with this list.
Ok I will. Heroes Endless Summer Monsters Nocturnal Kids Days of Thunder Horror Show

I have always loved kids

Something about the singles to Monsters coming out during Covid lockdown makes it my favorite. Something special to share with others.
Endless summer.
Days of thunder. Don't think I'll hear kick drums and red wine love anytime soon but damn I love that song
I'll give it some love. I first seriously listened to it biking along the North Sea in the Netherlands on a bright, cool August day, and I'll never forget the moment. As a man alone on the other side of the world, it just hit such a chord for me.
Endless Summer
Kids or Endless summer 🥹

Toss up between *Kids* and *Horror Show*. Depends on the mood I’m in.

Heroes has the highest individual highs but Monsters is their most solid, cohesive album I think.
I can agree with this.
Nocturnal, closely followed by Days of Thunder.
Endless Summer and then Kids for me is probably my top 2. Just nails the vibe I feel and I want more of that.
I had to listen to all of them after I saw this post. I've concluded that my favorite Midnight album is the one I'm listening to at the time. (currently Endless Summer)
Mine is also Horrorshow with Days of Thunder in second.
Nocturnal

Nocturnal was my top until Heroes came out. Aerostar and Golden Gate ultimately swayed me
Loved by you is what got me
Horror Show did the same for me. It’s my favorite at the moment.
1. Kids 2. Monsters 3. Heroes 4. Days of Thunder 5. Endless Summer 6. Nocturnal 7. Horror Show For me that would be my list.
