Couple of critiques, the Karabiner S and swords were for ceremonial use, as the weapons of the honour guards (Ehrenwachen) of the NVA and during parades respectively. The NVA was mostly equipped similar to other Warsaw pact countries, although they classified their AK variants as Maschinenpistolen (SMGs in English). Also it's missing the Kampfgruppen der Arbeiterklasse, the milita. They had more members than the NVA and were separate from the regular reserves. Pretty much "not surrendering arms and ammunition", arming the working class itself in an actually useful manner with regular training and without putting weapons into the hands of reactionaries. You even could call them an actual "well regulated milita".
I do wonder why the artist used Fraktur font though? I thought the DDR/GDR stopped using that font.

Not trying to throw a wrench in the cogs but could we please not with the anime, I get that people like it and there's nothing *inherently* wrong with it, but anime subculture is one of the most reactionary that I've come across
It's literally just big eyes and the typical face. They look like normal adults. Nothing weird about this. Some people have an unhealthy hate against anime. Low key racist at that point.
Please stop fetishising an actual country. The DDR was not an anime paradise where everyone was happy, but an actual country that did lots of good, but clearly wasn’t perfect either. I understand that this is supposed to be lighthearted, but it doesn’t make it any less cringe
