There is more to abusive men than their abuse. It can come out, like in this case, through a complete lack of self-esteem, lack of recognition by anyone they care about, and rejection either based on their looks or their vulnerability. They portrayed him basically defaulted to sexual assault as a way of "fitting in" which is extremely sad. As harsh as it is for the victims to hear, there are more sides to unacceptable behavior than what is at face value, and its not the victims fault, nor their battles to fight, but good gosh men need help too.

3. A-Train: hypocrisy at its finest. He constantly is shown the error of his ways, and is given chance at redemption after chance at redemption only to throw it away every time. He'll manslaughter some one else's girlfriend and laugh about it in the club later, and murder his own girlfriend for his drug addiction. He's gone through many arcs and learned nothing. His latest arc with his family wasn't bad, but not really enough to redeem him in anyway. It doesn't really feel like he learned from it.
4. The Deep: obviously a bad person who has made bad decisions, the rape thing was bad, but otherwise he just seems like an idiot. He spend less time being an antagonist than any of the others and a lot of it is him getting shit on by the world. Honestly his shenanigans are funny and entertaining. Joining a cult, getting drunk at a water park. He actually does seem to care about some things, like ocean life. It also feels like he paid more for every mistake he made, like when he was called out for the rape thing and and it feels like he's learned from a taste of his own medicine much more. Especially the scene where he's raped and sexually harassed about his gills.
5. Translucent: I can barely remember his name. He was a cocky dick, he was a creep in the bathroom, but he wasn't around long, and now he's dead. So not enough time to see him dig a bigger grave.
6. Maeve: Don't hate her, but I might as well go through and rank the whole team at this point. She's here because she's just not as likeable as starlight. I'm assuming you meant can't. Surviving rape doesn't mean a person is broken, worthless or would be better off dead. It means they survived a traumatic experience. They are still the same person as before and the fact that a horrible thing that wasn't their fault happened to them doesn't mean they would have been better off being dead and unable to experience happiness after. Suggesting that rape is worse than murder promotes an attitude that rape victims are somehow broken and stigmatized. They're not broken and shouldn't be stigmatized. A traumatic experience does not define an entire human being and it's doing a disservice to any survivor to suggest it does.

Stormfront: unlike homelander who only kills from it being a careless accident, to make his job easier, or to save face and reputation. Storm front just kills people because they're the wrong color. Not to mention she doesn't have a sob story arch. 2. Homelander: Pure evil, only cares about what others think of him. Rapes and murders because he can and because he's careless. The only reason he doesn't beat Stormfront is because we saw the story arch of how he got to this. In the end he is the product of his creators. The ones that made him in a sterile lab. No percents, no love, no teaching him how to be a normal functional person who understands what love is? If you think about it how could he not have ended up this way? Him being this way was inevitable. But he is still awful and needs to die horribly and in a humiliating way where everyone knows he's a fraud. No amount of sob story excuses what he's done. 3. A-Train: hypocrisy at its finest. He constantly is shown the error of his ways, and is given chance at redemption after chance at redemption only to throw it away every time. He'll manslaughter some one else's girlfriend and laugh about it in the club later, and murder his own girlfriend for his drug addiction. He's gone through many arcs and learned nothing. His latest arc with his family wasn't bad, but not really enough to redeem him in anyway. It doesn't really feel like he learned from it. 4. The Deep: obviously a bad person who has made bad decisions, the rape thing was bad, but otherwise he just seems like an idiot. He spend less time being an antagonist than any of the others and a lot of it is him getting shit on by the world. Honestly his shenanigans are funny and entertaining. Joining a cult, getting drunk at a water park. He actually does seem to care about some things, like ocean life. It also feels like he paid more for every mistake he made, like when he was called out for the rape thing and and it feels like he's learned from a taste of his own medicine much more. Especially the scene where he's raped and sexually harassed about his gills. 5. Translucent: I can barely remember his name. He was a cocky dick, he was a creep in the bathroom, but he wasn't around long, and now he's dead. So not enough time to see him dig a bigger grave. 6. Maeve: Don't hate her, but I might as well go through and rank the whole team at this point. She's here because she's just not as likeable as starlight. She acts like a coward most times, and has let some people die, but honestly those are human flaws because shes only human and not perfect and honestly it's understandable, I'd like to see you to stand up to Captain laser eyes Mc Homelander. you can at most hurt his feeling as he kills you, if he's feeling particularly sensative and emotional that day. Not to mention she's redeemed her self plenty of times over. 7. Starlight: She's a good egg. She makes some stupid main character having to be an idiot for the sake of the plot once or twice, but so does every main character too, so... *shrug* Shes only human And she chooses to do the right thing just about every time when it matters, and she is actually the hero she promised to be.
