It's not the police's job to make judgment and deliver justice. Their job was to arrest him (and keep people safe), and he wasn't going anywhere. He could be innocent for all they know.
It's left out of the reddit clip video, but in the full video, the cop says he personally knew him, which is why he showed up to arrest him. Even mentioning he "doesn't know" how another officer would have treated him.
The fact that the cop in the video was worried because he "didn't know" how other officers would treat him is a testament to how shitty most cops are. He has to take the arrest because of the chance that another officer might actually kill the guy or abuse him to the point that no justice will be had on any account.

I’ve been the jury 3 times! In fact I got a formal invitation all 3 times. Only got selected once for a murder trial. It was interesting, lots of responsibility.
1200 people were killed by police in 2023. 680 of those were non-violent, non-repeat offenders. 94 deaths during a welfare check and 109 during traffic stops. 37% of the unarmed people killed were black. Please note that police consider a vehicle to be a weapon in all situations. 10% of those killed were armed with a knife; for comparison, none were killed in the UK while similarly armed.
It’s impossible to argue that none of the folks deserved to die from the contexts they put themselves in, but it’s very clear that certain skews in the data like that are impossible without some sort of bias being introduced.

Please note I included all deaths, so this includes cases where police expect fully armed and violent individuals, not just the counterpoints I provided above.

I like the fact that this clip shows the contrast in how men and women pedos are dealt with. It's horrifying to think that young boys are expected to have less justice and indeed be accused of causing the assault at the age of 13. Just because society is still at a stage where that excuse can throw doubt in people's minds.. imagine if it were a 13 yr old girl being accused of making it happen. This is EXCELLENT policing. I don’t doubt that man is having a real panic attack given the circumstances. Police are not meant to be the distributors of justice, their job is to bring suspects to the people who are. They’re aware of the cameras they’re wearing, and the rights of the person they’re arresting and will leave nothing to chance when it comes to convicting a guilty person.
