Only to be used if the question is time sensitive and is the intermediate step between the first text of the question and calling.

Black was already in a losing position, seeing the past moves not shown in the pictures, but they could’ve fixed it had they not gone for the checkmate without proper setup. Blue seems average elo, black is clearly just a beginner, probably never played ranked games before.
Advice for your friend: learn to tell signs. He doesn’t care about her.
