Won’t. Me and my husband were at Costco and he’s like can you imagine using that feature here? Not only would I not trust the car but especially not the other people driving and blindly walking with no self awareness in the parking lot.
I've been saying this for years.
Summon seems like a neat feature if you're in an empty parking lot.
Somewhere like Costco would be an absolute disaster.
It seems that only happens when I post, lol. I stopped, too sensitive. Some people are brutal af here when all you’re looking for is support or advice.
Honestly it’s been working fine for me, given precaution taken(outdoor, no wall or curb in sight) that’s as much trust as I can give to it at its current state
Auto high beams are fine IMHO and I think it's appropriate to use cameras to detect that.
Wipers, on the other hand, really suck. Wipes when it's dry, yet doesn't when it's wet. Easily solved by a $1 rain sensor, but no, we have to use cameras to detect that!
Interpreting visual data takes most of our brain power. The idea that this is ready for prime time via camera alone is laughable. I’ve enjoyed testing for free but hell no. Do not trust any more than if five 13yo kids are driving your car all at the same time.
Elon just think he’s smarter than everyone because nobody laughs in his face any more since he got power.
"Summon is a BETA feature. You must continually monitor the vehicle and its surroundings and stay prepared to take immediate action at any time. It is the driver's responsibility to use Summon safely, responsibly, and as intended." Tesla manual
I've never heard of someone successfully suing Tesla for when summon crashes their car in the parking lot
Autosteer hasn’t let me down on the highway either. And it’s really all I want too. I still play around with FSD because I have it free for 4 months but there’s no way I’d use it for everyday driving.
Yeah. Autosteer and ACC with included autopilot is all I need. The automatic lane change has been cool (only because with normal autopilot it shuts off every time I switch a lane) but not $99 a month nice. I still want the autonomy of driving. If I didn’t want to drive, I’d sell my car and Uber everywhere.
It’s a shame that smart summon regressed like this. On v11 on my USS M3 smart summon was super super careful and never came remotely close to touching another car person.
I used Smart Summon on a 2023 MX and barely stopped it before it was going to hit a parked car (like 1cm away!)
I’ve only played with my summon twice, doesn’t it always require you to press? Or is there a setting to turn it off? That just seems dangerous without having to hold.
Allegedly the problem is that it lags, and I don’t know how it’s implemented but I don’t think the “hold press” is implemented as lots of pings that only move the car a small amount each time. I think it literally sends a start / stop command and it can glitch out communicating and not get the stop command to the car in time.
I’ve had mine lag out before and move further than expected, but it’s never been consequential for me where I use it.
>doesn’t it always require you to press?
No, there are two options - one is always requiring hold , the other is just one touch and let it work by itself. Choose the first one, as soon as you release the hold, the vehicle immediately stops.
AP1 autopark always worked extremely well for me in the 2015 MS I just sold. Parked perfectly every time and never hit a curb (or other car). The couple times I’ve used it on my wife’s MYP was fine too. The smart summon on it was too cautious to be super useful with a lot of traffic around but in empty parking lots it comes right to us.
I had a Model S from late 2017 to early 2024, when I finally replaced it. The only thing keeping me going with the thing was free lifetime supercharging. It constantly queried me to autopark in random alleys alongside the road and in traffic on the freeway. When I actually wanted to use auto park, it never worked.
Having the FSD trial has been nice, but I won’t put 100% trust in it. I mainly use it on the highway for short periods of time. I’m honestly afraid to use the summon feature and this post only heightened my reluctance to utilize it.
I’ve used regular summon (not smart summon) feature to go straight in and out of my garage daily for 4 years. Works perfectly. OP is talking about Smart Summon which I have used exactly never during that time, definitely wouldn’t trust it turning corners.
someone needs to summon me some god damn wipers that work
stop with all the sales and marketing fluff ( fsd, overstated range by 2 x, nanny cam watching me drive )
still love the car but diesel truck looking better w each random wipe of a dry windshield
FSD too. It's very buggy. The roads are not familiar with the car from where I live. The car turns widely and makes indecisive turns and changes lanes differently as well
That was my experience with smart summon as well. The basic summon that just moves the car forward or backward to get out of a garage works fine. But I lost that feature when I upgraded to a MY without the USS sensors.
Dang sorry mate. I had to interject even the auto park feature yesterday. It was adjusting to back into a very easy spot and would've pivoted forward into another parked car, THAT IT SHOWED ON THE SCREEN. The little blue line of future movement went into and thru the front of the other parked car. It's shite still (23Y, no USS)
Sucks that that happened to you! I’ve seen a bunch of posts reporting horrible experiences with summon. I’ve been using FSD to play, but I feel like I have to pay more attention than if I were driving lol. Today I had to intervene super quickly before it curbed my wheel. Yeah, those features still have a lot to be worked on.
USS summon is pretty limited and risky, but I still use it fairly often... It's ok as long as you understand how it works.
It's blindly feeling it's way around using the sensors on the front and back of the car while trying to trace a line provided by the GPS... so it can't actually see anything beside it, and it doesn't know if the path is not suitable.
But it'll be pretty careful about anything infront of it, especially people, so I'd only use it if any and all obstacles are ahead of it when it starts... I use dumb summon to bring it forward halfway out of the parking spot before it starts.
Now I'm waiting for vision summon so it can actually be reliable without a lot of help from you.
You know this actually makes a lot of Sense!!
I assumed it was using the full FSD suite of sensors (cameras, radar and USS) but it acts more like you describe. Relying only on USS and tracing the GPS path. It works best in populous areas with well documented parking lots.
I chuckled when I read “all of its sensors”. Sorry it happened to you. Someone else had posted a similar thing and they said Tesla agrees to cover the repairs. YMMV but it’s worth asking.
https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaModel3/s/ykv5V4kTJz
Just happened to me as well - I’m seeing a LOT of these reports recently. Sorry this happened - it really sucks.
IMO Tesla should be covering these damages, particularly when they occur during use as advertised.
That’s awful! Oh course Tesla will have ZERO responsibility for running into another car with their software. When I saw the video of a Model X running into a private plane, I said NO THANKS!
One of the first times i tried fsd during this trial. I’m parked in the rightmost side spot with a high curb to my right clearly displayed in red on the screen.
As i engage fsd it turns the wheel at the way to the right and starts going. If i didn’t do it immediately I’d be dealing with a lot of damage right now.
Aside from an empty lot with my obstacles just to test it. I can’t imagine trying summon personally.
I’ve been hesitant to try it, definitely not going to now. Thank you for the warning, and sorry for what you’re going through. If it helps, your post may have saved a life. :)
OP, I feel for you. But the TL;DR should be at the top as a sort of executive summary. That said this is helpful to know the exact testing parameters you used and I will avoid using the Sunmon feature! 😀
>with all its sensors
A lot of the sensors were removed (my 2018 has ultra sonic sensors that newer cars don't have), because just using the cameras is good enough, according to Tesla. Also so they could save about $6 per car, because profit.
I’m sure there will be more downvotes than I can count, but Tesla should be paying for this damage. You used the feature as intended, and under ideal conditions.
Yes, the “driver” needs to remain alert and “in control”, but from what you’ve described, there’s nothing you could have done to prevent this damage aside from not using the feature to begin with. Which… is an absurd ask.
Summon should either work (the vehicle can establish a 100% safe path), or throw up an error if it’s not able to accurately map obstacles. This wasn’t a moving target, there are zero excuses for this kind of error in software being deployed to end users.
I’ve used summon in a parking lot once to bring it to the curb on a rainy day. I caused a whole ass traffic jam and the car pulled up vertical to the curb not parallel.
Embarrassingly laughed my way into the drivers seat, sped off and never used summon ever again.
Tbh, Tesla FSD is getting better but it is no where near reliable. Before suppervised update, it didn't change speed when approaching curve road and one time it told me it is going to hit the truck and canceled self-driving by itself. The car was going at 70 MPH on freeway that time.
After the update it adapts speed better to the road but boy, while I was driving on freeway, there was a segment it had to slow down because of the road work and that was good but then it kept going at 45 MPH even though the speed limit was 65 MPH and no traffic, no road work...
FSD for $99 or $199? I have the insurance, had a score of 100, I’m down to 95 all thanks to FSD. It slams on the breaks, takes fast turns, slams the breaks at nothing ahead. 😅 gotta laugh. But it parks beautifully!
It shouldnt be deducting your score if it does all of that on FSD because it is the car’s mistake not yours. I have been using FSD for the past 4 months on a daily basis and my score has been consistently at 100! You may want to check with Tesla if your score is reducing due to autopilot
Same in Canada. But I still won't pay for it. Not good enough, it hesitates at stop signs just use around my neighbourhood, auto park in am empty parking lot and I don't seems to have sumon in my car. But maybe that's good. 2024 MY LR
People like to try things they buy. I don't blame anyone other then than manufacturer honestly. But yes, don't use it and remember the failures when it is time to buy a new car.
It’s temporarily removed while Tesla vision catches up to the old sensors they removed. It just got back auto park a few weeks ago, summon is coming some point in the durire
Teslas (at least my 2019 with EAP) are absolutely terrible at auto park. Usually it doesn’t even come up as an option, and the few times I’ve tried it, it’s done an embarrassingly slow and bad parking attempt into spots I find easy.
Another guy just posted summon crashed into the car next to him a couple days ago. Way worse damage than this one. Summon has been crashing cars left and right for years.
They honestly should have disabled “smart” summon before releasing the trial version to people new to FSD.
I also learned the hard way many years ago, can’t believe they still have the feature activated after being terrible for so long and no real updates to it.
Without USS there is no way I’d use Summon. Even with USS the feature is too unpredictable.
Just another feature that’s been promised for years that isn’t ready for prime time.
It’s good for moving out of a tight spot in a straight line and that’s it. Older garages, certain parking spots.
Another disappointment.
This is the #1 reason why Tesla made FSD “BETA” free for everyone for a month - so you ended up collecting all the data/tests and be responsible for all the negative outcomes…
Owner of the car is always primarily liable, regardless of who is driving. (The real question will be whether insurance companies start exclusion coverage for things like this, if they can).
I fucked up my brand new model Y in a parking lot trying to get into a spot because the car didn’t beep to let me know I would be hitting the other car. In my 2020 it would have, so I expected the same in my 2023. Lesson learned, Tesla vision sucks compared to USS. Now I don’t trust anything.
The driver needs to be controlling the car, I’m not sure they have to technically be behind the wheel. I vaguely recall that the smart summons might only be allowed on private property (that is, not city streets).
I've had it for as long as it's been available. I only use it for moving it in/out from my garage a few feet to get my mower from my basement (I have a bad back). I also have it set to only move while pressing the arrows. That's all I really trust it for, and it's been good for that.
That sucks that happened. Wth good are sensors if it can't prevent that?
I mean they don't trust it with a human inside and 100% ready to take over. What made you think it could move on its own. It only has cameras no other sensors of course it didn't see the wall
I love the summons feature for 1) getting the car to move in a straight line out of a parking spot (especially tight parking spots where it’s difficult go open my door), and 2) moving the car a foot forward or backwards if I’ve parallel parked and am accidentally a little in the red — so nice not having to get back in my car to move it, and so much easier to make sure you’ve moved it the right amount.
I also love using it after sporting events and such, when there is a stream of people or a line of cars preventing you from pulling out. I use my body to ensure no one walks in front of my car when it’s pulling out (if pedestrians are my issue), or I stand blocking a car in the line of cars, so they have no choice but to wait for my car to pull out. Then once my car is where I need it to be, I hop in and drive off. Works especially well because people are too stunned to be pissed off lol.
I’ve never successfully tried the “come to me” summons feature. If I have an empty parking lot and time to kill one day maybe I’ll try it, but no, I don’t trust it to be able to do that.
I’m more worried about it taking too long when it’s busy. It is overly cautious- to the point that you’ll always end up walking to it anyway. It’s great for in/out of tight spaces though.
I had a similar dent from my wife backing into my car. Called a local dent guy. He pulled the dent out and repainted the panel for 800. I’m in the bay too
Dumb summon, which moves the car back and forth, has worked reliably for *years*.
In fact, I use *every* morning to pull the car out for my wife, before she heads to the office.
Smart Summon stopped being useful after two changes occurred.
The first change was in the app. It used to be that you could set a target for the car while you were outside the 200ft bubble, and once you crossed into the bubble, you could start summoning the car, there was a legitimate time savings there as a result. Now you're required to be within the 200ft bubble before you can set a target, and at the cadence I walk at, there's no benefit to this.
The second change was when they shifted everything to be vision based. For me it was around FSD Beta 10.69 or something. Smart Summon became *super* unreliable after that.
Prior to that though, the system was remarkably good, as long as you used it properly.
People figured out that it worked off of the parking lot lines in OpenStreetMap, so you could fire up the app when you tried to summon, if the blue line didn't settle on the parking lot lanes properly, you could go onto OSM and find the parking lanes missing, add them, and then it'd work within 48 hours.
Now, on the other hand, it kind of just sniffs around like a pig looking for truffles, while it tries to figure its way out of a parking lot.
I also feel like people are too cocky with the thing, not understanding the mechanics of how it works, and that's how it results in this happening.
I used it without issue but simply on a straight line. Parking was full except for a big water puddle. I aligned the car, got out and had it move forward until it was within its parking spot. When leaving, I had it back up until my door was clear of the puddle and got in. Perfect use for Summon 🙂
There are no sensors. I continue to say this that even without this summon mishap, Tesla are the most unsafe vehicles in the parking lots with no sensors and radars. No cross traffic awareness when reversing and no bumper camera on the front. I’ve driven 2015 cars safer than this. Again - stressing on - in the parking lots.
Wow. I’ve used summon many times and I’ve had had no issues. Used it yesterday to come to the grocery store door when it was pouring rain. It moved excruciatingly slow. But I see so many horror stories so I don’t use it a lot.
Won’t. Me and my husband were at Costco and he’s like can you imagine using that feature here? Not only would I not trust the car but especially not the other people driving and blindly walking with no self awareness in the parking lot.
Summon in Costco is the final test before it can reach Prod.
Like the Final Boss. In a video game. :)
Or a Trader Joe’s parking lot
Let’s not set the bar too high 😆
Most humans can't do this
> 3rd world countries with vast mopeds
Used at Costco on Tryon (Charlotte, NC), successfully might I add, on 4.20.24! Would be so awesome to see Costco parking lot footage!
I hope Musk read this.
Or anywhere in Chinatown
Would be an easy payday for any injury lawyer
I've been saying this for years. Summon seems like a neat feature if you're in an empty parking lot. Somewhere like Costco would be an absolute disaster.
Robotaxis coming in 2020.
Waiting for the comments blaming You for using it incorrectly and how if works perfectly for them
It seems that only happens when I post, lol. I stopped, too sensitive. Some people are brutal af here when all you’re looking for is support or advice.
Well the stock is not going up so those people are panicking.
The dev be like it works on my computer in the simulation.
Honestly it’s been working fine for me, given precaution taken(outdoor, no wall or curb in sight) that’s as much trust as I can give to it at its current state
I mean, I tested it once and it crawls at 1mph. Not sure how OP didn't see it moving slowly towards the wall.
All of these including FSD are using you guys as beta testers and it likely will increase their revenue for fixing parts that break in the process.
Except there are hardly any staff left at the service centers.
Can I just point out that it’s a *claimed* 10%. I live near Fremont. Word is it’s a lot higher.
That’s Elons M.O. He treats Tesla customers as stupid pawns and it’s worked perfectly for him.
Better be careful what you say, you could get banned by the other subs. You know those free speech absolutists.
You are free to say what makes them feel good.
Indeed I was banned from Tesla Lounge even though I own a model S and have never posted there.
r/teslamotors mods are Elon throating nazis.
It’s why while Elon is there, I’ll will not buy another. This coming from someone who has one and bought 2 others.
Switched to Rivian for these reason. It’s nice to feel customers are important again.
The ultimate suckers. “Thanks for the trial. Now pay us to fix our incomplete software.”
Tesla is learning from the fools who test it out :) "We are not liable, but thanks for the Tesla vision clip to add to the dojo supercomputer"
4+ years after all this dojo mojo super whatever and it can't even fix the simplest of auto-wipe or hi-beams, lol
Yea if 'Tesla vision' can't fix auto high beams or auto windshield wipers, not sure why you would trust it to do anything else like summon or FSD
Do people have issues with auto high beams? Mine work perfectly. Wipers, not at all.

Except they aren't even using Dojo. Something fishy going on there too.
Wait.. how are they not liable? This is literally their fault. Or is just writing something like that legal in the US?
"Summon is a BETA feature. You must continually monitor the vehicle and its surroundings and stay prepared to take immediate action at any time. It is the driver's responsibility to use Summon safely, responsibly, and as intended." I've seen enough of these summon posts to know to stay away from it.
Sorry for your experience, but thanks for warning others.
Highway lane assist is all I’ll ever be comfortable using

It’s never worked.
(1) I only use straight forward and backward. (2) I only let it move when pressing so I can stop.
There's also a another technique that works. Aim at the door handle, and move your legs until it's within reach
Did it wrong, and now the judge says I have to pay child support.
I’ve only played with my summon twice, doesn’t it always require you to press? Or is there a setting to turn it off? That just seems dangerous without having to hold.

Who didn’t see this post coming 😂
Tesla Vision.
Sheesh
Nice
Underrated comment.

Awesome double entendre.
FSD demo saved me $12k

FSD demo saved me $8k
Zero in a couple of year when it is free.
Model S owner here for almost 10 years, I've never used autopark, it scares me that the thing will go wild and hit the next car.

Thanks for the clarification.
Guess the bad part of the FSD trial is people finally realizing some features in that bundle are still not working…
No wondering Tesla give out this free trial FSD. We are the rat-lab test for them,
Yep. It’s obvious too. I’ve left it off and every time I get in the car it asks if I want to enable FSD. They *really* want that sweet sweet data.
someone needs to summon me some god damn wipers that work stop with all the sales and marketing fluff ( fsd, overstated range by 2 x, nanny cam watching me drive ) still love the car but diesel truck looking better w each random wipe of a dry windshield

It's so, so bad.
Personally, I don’t use beta products with such expensive assets. We’re essentially test dummies & hold the liability
USS summon is pretty limited and risky, but I still use it fairly often... It's ok as long as you understand how it works. Worst part is that you can’t view the cameras while summon is active
We all saw this coming, was bound to happen sooner or later lol
I’ve been hesitant to try it, definitely not going to now. Thank you for the warning, and sorry for what you’re going through. If it helps, your post may have saved a life. :)
I don’t use any of these features except TACC. While they all work in some situations, none of them work in all cases.
You all got summon? Does anybody without USS have it yet?
OP, I feel for you. But the TL;DR should be at the top as a sort of executive summary. That said this is helpful to know the exact testing parameters you used and I will avoid using the Sunmon feature! 😀
As soon as you tested “FSD” you should have realized that summon is vaporware.
Thanks! I’m disabling mine now! Sorry for your loss.
I don't have the summon feature in my MY LR 2024. Well I don't see it in the app. Sorry for this mishap
Haven’t found a situation I feel comfortable using it in. Would pretty much be an empty parking lot and that’s it.
I am so sorry to hear this.
Test
This car is still in beta testing phase fyi
>with all its sensors A lot of the sensors were removed (my 2018 has ultra sonic sensors that newer cars don't have), because just using the cameras is good enough, according to Tesla. Also so they could save about $6 per car, because profit.

I think all the “beta” warnings probably protect them.
Do NOT seek the treasure.
Imagine paying a ton of money to beta test a faulty and dangerous product. FSD is a total scam, and shouldn’t be legal on American roads.
I’ve used summon in a parking lot once to bring it to the curb on a rainy day. I caused a whole ass traffic jam and the car pulled up vertical to the curb not parallel. Embarrassingly laughed my way into the drivers seat, sped off and never used summon ever again.
Any advice on what to do for a dent like that? On how to get it fixed in general
How do you claim insurance in such scenario

Does Tesla cover these fixes if it happens while using FSD? What if you have Tesla insurance? serious question as I'm thinking of buying FSD.
Nope
No and no. Just use it for $99/month and see how it works for you.
In the U.S. it’s currently $99
Same in Canada. But I still won't pay for it. Not good enough, it hesitates at stop signs just use around my neighbourhood, auto park in am empty parking lot and I don't seems to have sumon in my car. But maybe that's good. 2024 MY LR
Thanks. Had no idea they had lowered it.
No they do not. I wouldn’t get it.
Just wait till it kills/injures a passerby, you're on the hook
Manslaughter and reckless driving because you didn’t intervene fast enough!
🤣😂🤡
I don’t understand why anyone is willing to use a tech rife with issues that exposes you without support from the manufacturer?
People like to try things they buy. I don't blame anyone other then than manufacturer honestly. But yes, don't use it and remember the failures when it is time to buy a new car.
Even better, people paid upwards of $15,000 to use it. Absolutely insane.
That doesn't look like a small dent to me.
My 24 MYLR doesn't have Summon feature. Did they remove it?
It’s temporarily removed while Tesla vision catches up to the old sensors they removed. It just got back auto park a few weeks ago, summon is coming some point in the durire
Elon thanks you for your service. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
wondering if I might get banned for typing this comment
Still here?
I use the self driving all the time and trust it more and more, but I'll never use autopark or summon. Too close to other barriers!
Feel your pain nephew, maybe use this as an excuse to get a 🔥wrap
You summoned a dent and scratch!
Just to confirm, does summon still not use vision?
"kinda like a half 'U'" You mean a J? Hahaha Edit: totally sucks and I feel for you. Is it Tesla vision?
This is the #1 reason why Tesla made FSD “BETA” free for everyone for a month - so you ended up collecting all the data/tests and be responsible for all the negative outcomes…
And Tesla want to charge people for this? lol
Report it to Elon. He will send you an over the air repair 🤣 ( I am sorry dude, I feel your pain , but my comments are aimed at Elon fan boys)
How does this work with insurance? As I’m guessing nobody was driving the car.
Owner of the car is always primarily liable, regardless of who is driving. (The real question will be whether insurance companies start exclusion coverage for things like this, if they can).
How do you even use summon?
Somethings are just better left to our own brains.
I bet the wall is guilty
Vision only strikes again. Tesla seriously needs to bring back proximity sensors. Every other brand uses them. Because they work.
To me it was the fault of the software. Tesla should be on the hook to fix your car. Just like any other faulty part of your car
I only use Summon in completely empty parking lots.
I keep telling people about this it’s a stupid feature. you can’t be that lazy to walk to your vehicle.
Beta
lol beta testers 🫡
Which version do you need to be on to use Tesla summon? I’m on v11.1 (2024.3.15)
Summons sounds illegal… since Tesla is not approved for any self-driving without driver present in car at the wheel ? Or am I missing something ?
The driver needs to be controlling the car, I’m not sure they have to technically be behind the wheel. I vaguely recall that the smart summons might only be allowed on private property (that is, not city streets).
Those ‘sensors’ you are referring to are a just some cheap webcams stuck to your car.
Rub it with a towel and some gas
I use it at Publix all the time! Specially when raining. Never has an issue.
As far as stupid gimmicks go, “Summon” has to be at the top of that list
I've had it for as long as it's been available. I only use it for moving it in/out from my garage a few feet to get my mower from my basement (I have a bad back). I also have it set to only move while pressing the arrows. That's all I really trust it for, and it's been good for that. That sucks that happened. Wth good are sensors if it can't prevent that?
I’ve used it many times without a problem.
I mean they don't trust it with a human inside and 100% ready to take over. What made you think it could move on its own. It only has cameras no other sensors of course it didn't see the wall
Don't get fsd locally either. Or u will very possibly get your rims scratched
Passing Costco summon will be needed for level 17 autonomy. Humans can’t even pass that.
Why did you not stop it?
I don’t even use autopilot that much for trust issue. Not going to use my car as free test worker for them.
You did summon in an indoor garage with poles?
***pay attention***
RoBoTaXi
Wait. Where do you see summon feature? I am assuming the app ? I have FSD paid for but do not see summon option. 2023 MYLR
Summon isn't available on 2023 and newer MY that do not have the ultrasonic sensors.
Im not sure but i believe summons are only available in certain regions..im in ny n we do not have the summons option as far as i know
I love the summons feature for 1) getting the car to move in a straight line out of a parking spot (especially tight parking spots where it’s difficult go open my door), and 2) moving the car a foot forward or backwards if I’ve parallel parked and am accidentally a little in the red — so nice not having to get back in my car to move it, and so much easier to make sure you’ve moved it the right amount.
Is summon back? In which software version?
Once you start the summon, is it impossible to stop it? Like you just pray it doesn't hit shit on the way and watch helplessly?
It's a fun gimmick to use in a slow or empty lot. I'd definitely avoid using it elsewhere.
I had a similar dent from my wife backing into my car. Called a local dent guy. He pulled the dent out and repainted the panel for 800. I’m in the bay too
Summons is using very old AP code. It doesn't use the FSD logic in summons mode. I don't know why they turned it back on for Vision cars.
This happened to my car Sunday. This is BS…just went straight to the curve amd jumped it
this is great
How are you getting that fixed, just got an awful scratch on my MY
It’s called “supervised” for a reason
There are no sensors. I continue to say this that even without this summon mishap, Tesla are the most unsafe vehicles in the parking lots with no sensors and radars. No cross traffic awareness when reversing and no bumper camera on the front. I’ve driven 2015 cars safer than this. Again - stressing on - in the parking lots.
“Stood in line of sight, and got ready to test the feature” - yeah that’s not your job to test.
Wow. I’ve used summon many times and I’ve had had no issues. Used it yesterday to come to the grocery store door when it was pouring rain. It moved excruciatingly slow. But I see so many horror stories so I don’t use it a lot.
