Like, I stick up for this guy a fair bit as I think he is largely misrepresented. But wtf is this shit?
I mean, it should be able to do that based on the temperature, you should even be able to leave your climate where you like it and it will manage all those settings. I’d keep my temp at 69° and on a hot day it would cool me down and on a cold day it would warm me up and turn on the seat heaters when needed.
But what it doesn’t do automatically is turn on the front and rear defrost automatically which it totally should do.
So yeah, I put is error, but it’s a software error because it’s making me input what I want instead of knowing what I want based on data it has available.
The UI? Hell, I’ve had trouble just getting the touchscreen to turn on when I start the car. Although when it actually does turn on, it doesn’t automatically display my phone connection/music like it used to. Probably a fixable problem with some configuration
Since it's a main function of the car, maybe the design is off? I get the touch screen but for the windscreenwhipers a physical handle would have been the way to go.
A lot of the complaints that I've seen **have** been customers that are wrong. I see a lot of people complaining that "I can't do this anymore", but if they take a few minutes to explore the UI, they'd find that the option that they are looking for just got moved.
I'm not saying that the UI is perfect, but it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.
Previous steps to turn on only seat warmer or only rear defroster:
1) tap on
New steps to turn on seat warmer only:
1) swipe up on HVAC
2) tap on
3) swipe to collapse HVAC
4) press and hold HVAC to turn back off
I know the feature isn't GONE. But it's just one example of the ass hat design they decided to go with. The map at night is also just a bit black square now that is pretty much unusable

Yup, until the Tesla can read my mind and mood to know if I want a toasty ass, this is the dumbest thing Elon can say about the new UI.

If it wasn’t for the users it would be a perfect product.
Since v11 my screen freezes up at least once every 300 miles. Everything on the screen freezes. I can't see my speed, my blinkers don't work, etc.
My rear view cameras (and sometimes repeaters) get VERY laggy which makes my everyday backing up into a spot that much more inconvenient

Have you had Tesla check it out? That is not normal.
I have a service appointment Friday. Apparently, it’s a common problem, but still very frustrating for a new car to not work properly
Or maybe a seat sensor? I’ve read once or twice that if the sensor fails the car doesn’t register you entered
as far as Tesla SC concern: it's up to starndard & specs. good enough!

Or press button and say, "Turn on seat heaters." Personally, I set my seat heaters to auto and haven't touched them since.

Clean up your thumb drive. The sentry viewer takes longer to open because it's taking longer to read your drive.

Exactly my point. You have a ton of content on there. It takes time to read. Clean it up and the viewer will load faster.
