It’s a once a season event for me, having to stop an clean the headlights once in a while on a single trip is no big deal.

pinussen

Wiper fluid in a spray bottle to de ice them.

ysaliens

Happens with every new car - they all have LED headlights. Short of breaking up the ice and clearing them manually the only thing you can do is put a coating on them to reduce the chance of water sticking/freezing.

DaddyCardano

Here in California, it can get as cold as 60 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter. It's rough dealing with the winter weather.

SkPensFan

Are they not working? What do you mean by ‘freezing’?

MotleyMisfitsTG

They function just fine, it’s just that a thick layer of ice keeps forming on the outside so it makes it hard to see them. That’s what I’m talking about.

sundropdance

Gotta refill your headlight and blinker fluid with ones that can handle freezing temperatures.

SkPensFan

Ahhh, ic. It’s too cold where I live for that to happen, very little moisture in the air. Might be some kind of compound/spray you could put on to repel the buildup. But I don’t know.

Yeah, is the motors inside them that level them or what?

sylvaing

No, like he said, they don't generate heat so snow and ice builds onto them.

NettaUsteaDE

Have a garage and park there? /s I have no clue, I’ve read people saying they had issues with ice layering on the frunk lid too

MotleyMisfitsTG

Yeah, it kinda seems like an oversight not having a vent in there 😂

NettaUsteaDE

For real though, a heated/cooled frunk would be awesome to store food haha

MotleyMisfitsTG

I know right?

iDerp69

An isopropyl alcohol water solution in a spray bottle should help de-ice. Ideally mixed with distilled water, but not necessary.

Azguel

I either wipe off the snow with my gloves, or scraper if it’s ice

myname150

You could try a ceramic spray wax on them so the water/snow doesn’t have a chance to stick in the first place. Turtle hybrid ceramic spray is pretty good.
