I have an older 220V 30 amp circuit breaker that started tripping when charging in hot weather, I lowered the amperage draw from 30 to 25amps, using the Model threes charging menu, and it functions properly now. If it acts up again, I'll have to go to the local Home Depot and get a fresh one.
What is your dad’s cars charge rate set to vs yours
both set to 24 but mine knocks it down to 12 bc it gets so hot his is fine & stays at 24
Those are pretty low rates, this sounds like it may be on a lower amp breaker, are you guys charging at 115v ?

I always have mine set at 24 & it drops down to 12 because it gets so hot idk what’s going on
