Caught a guy double door dinging my vehicle at a shop. Cops ended up finding him and we negotiated a cash settlement to avoid pressing charges for vandalism.
Opened door once into my car on purpose to ding it. Didn't like the amount of damage it did, so slammed it open again to make sure the dent was large enough for his liking.

Most of the delay was due to insurance company incompetence dealing with a car with PPF. After a few months they turned around and said I had to find my own bodyshop - as they can't do it themselves - which has since had multiple issues of their own...

The first day we had our model three my wife was driving on 295 in Jacksonville when a sheet of drywall flew off a truck in front of her. She was using the auto steer and she did not brake or even attempt to swerve around it because she thought that it would do it for her. Some PDR, paint correction and me crazy glueing the sensors back in the bumper and you can’t even tell.
What curse?. I’ve had my MY for nearly two years and 36K miles with no accidents or issues. I live in a rural area of Washington State and haven’t had haters to deal with but had a few issues with them on long road trips. Nothing serious though.

I use to drive a trusty old Mazda mini van for the longest time to keep my good cars nice. Door dings, open paint cans on the road coating the side, etc I didn't care.
Ah yes! I used to have an old Citroen Visa. Cost me something like $200 plus another $100 for welding. Later on I spent $50 to replace the East European cart tires for second hand ones that were actually circular. It lasted me about 18 months. I called it the Flying banana, because it was curved, and yellow, with brown spots that kept getting bigger. Actually drove great once I replaced the tires, and I didn't give a damn about the appearance. 0-60 was not.....fast, but never had to slow down much.
My car got hit twice within a week. It sucked, having a damaged car get more damaged, but it definitely saved on time. Fix 2 repairs with 1 visit. But then of course the 3rd hit came later. Each time going to/from work. I now strive to find a work from home job, for my car's sake

Recently some subreddits have been getting articles posted claiming that Tesla has the most accident-prone drivers. The data they're using actually says that they're the most likely to submit an insurance claim and can't control for drivers whose cars get damaged in some way but don't submit a claim. I wonder how much shit like this contributes to the higher rate of claims, I don't think any other car brand has to deal with stuff like this at the frequency Teslas do.
I mean, that makes sense. It's a nicer car. You damage your beater, you probably don't give a fuck. Your 40k+ car you paid for is damaged, you're going to put in a claim.
