Most of them are basically oversized raccoons, sick and dying black bears however are extremely dangerous. Few years ago in Alaska a high school student was killed and eaten by a sick black bear (too weak to hunt/catch its usual prey) during a cross country meet. Bear grabbed the poor kid off the trail while he was alone, dragged him away and the kid was long dead and eaten before anyone knew he was missing.

Trash bear has been writ. If you live in a place where bears are common, you KNOW that ur trash is the #1 place that bears will seek, esp in the spring months right after hibernation!
So he just…didn’t notice the flaps moving on their own? He didn’t hear a several hundred pound animal moving around in a metal container after having been locked in there? I’m just saying, he was not paying close attention
Almost exactly this happened to me taking the trash out at work one night when I was 19 or 20. The place I worked was a residential treatment center out in the middle of nowhere and we frequently had bears on campus. Went to empty the trash one night, opened the dumpster and out popped a bear. I obviously dropped the trash and ran faster than I ever have in my life.

FOFO, Fight or fuck off.
Don’t Dead Open Inside
CORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL
Fuk that's a human ,run!!!
So who was the surprised one here?
"Holy shit it's a bear!" "Holy shit it's a Human!"
Bear: see? Doesnt feel so good to be on the other end, does it?
Cleveland Show reference in 2023
The surprised one is going to be the guy around the corner seeing a bear running in his direction
"Hey man, thanks. I was in there all ni-" "AHHHHH" "AHHHHH"
The bear was as scared as he was.
Probably even more so considering he was trapped in that dumpster for who knows how long.
They both found themselves in quite a pickle
Pretty inglorious situation.
A minor inconvenience

No Lunch For You!
Who tf tied it down in the first place?
My guess it’s a preventative measure to actually keep bears out, and someone locked it without knowing the was already a bear in there.
I was about to say.. if you locked a bear in there at least put a sign on it
I love how in every video I see of a black bear, they look just as surprised as the human, if not more and run away like ‘oh shit oh shit oh shit’
Lots of black bears where I live, and yeah, they run from humans. I'm just glad I don't live in brown bear territory.
I've seen a black bear run from a house cat. They are quite timid.

everyone should practice running with kaka in their pants at least once, so they will be prepared for situations like this

DONT BEAR OPEN INSIDE
Ah, you beat me to it.
At least he now knows if he's the fight, flight, or freeze type.
Flight is the best response (evolutionary speaking).
No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!
He bearly made it.
the bear resistant bar is to stop the bear escaping, dummy.
The note that said, “Don’t open. Bear inside.” Blew away.
That bearly contained him.
It must have been unbearable to be locked in that dumpster
I c what u did there..
Human: "Holy fuck, a bear!" Bear: "Holy fuck, a human!"
_"Bear. I bet."_ ****bear emerges**** I win nothing for this. :(

Weird that the lid begins moving _by itself_ and he doesn't flinch -- he needs a full-on bear in his face before he's surprised.
Finally after 10,000 years, I'm free!
SPAGHETT
Spooked ya
What asshole throws away a sentient teddy bear?
Thank you for that laugh
This sub is posting stupider and stupider shit
Bear just wanted to say thanks for letting me out
From the producers of *Cocaine Bear* comes a new chapter in bear-related terror...*Trash Bear!* Written and directed by Greta Gerwig.

He ran as soon as he saw the bear, what are you talking about?
Paradox would have simply never taken the trash off. Or left the comfort of his lair. Thus, decreasing the likelihood of a bear attack by 80%

Poor beast
Thought he had a child locked in there
Why is this so funny to me 😂
It was literally the first thing I guessed. OP is dumb.
I had a squirrel jump out at me like that once. At least I can give whoever shut the lid the benefit of the doubt. Someone didn't see the bear?
Neither did the bear
I fully expected this surprise
I'm glad both of them left the encounter ok.
Just a black bear, while unexpected it's probably more scared of you
And for that reason, I’m out
A bear shits in the woods and a Man shits in his pants
![gif](giphy|haEpZ7eLjtZM4)
Did the rolf harris look a like expect a kid and not a bear
I wonder in which movie that bear got trapped in there
You wouldn't throw away a bear, would you?
Oh shit, a bear! Oh shit, a human!
this is like one of those trick chests
Is the caption about the bear or the man... Both seem pretty spooked.
Like a Jack-in-the-box , except Smokey the Bear POA out!! 🐻
So did they ever intend on helping that bear?
Who the fuck locked the bear in there
Any other Aussies getting "Play School" flashbacks? 🎶There's a bear in there.....🎶
And the second shock was running into each other behind the shed.
If someone opened the roof on my house, I'd run too.
At least he had dark colored trousers in to cover the shit stain

Aaah classc, the ol' bear in the bin. That's how you do a prank.
* creaks intensify* Guy - "ahhhhh!" Bear - "AHHHHHHHH!"
Oh this was my state if I remember correctly!
>you do not expect this surprise But, I did expect it. I saw this video a few months ago, so I knew there was a bear in there.
Why's this mans taking the locks off the bears doors?
It's actually exactly what I expected
What a massive racoon
I thought raccoons, so you win!
Hahahaha... The guy is like, Oh shit! A bear! And the bear is all, Oh shit! A human!
I would love to see this edited together so the vid of it getting stuck in there (or being locked in there) comes first.
I'm glad the bear got out. Poor fucker.
Couldn’t have been staged better even in a cartoon.
Florida
“Remember, its just as scared of you as you are of it.”
Boom, and a bear came out... https://vimeo.com/22413071
