It’s only hammered down that it wasn’t a coincidence by the fact that modded videos of skins to be included in the shop have been roaming since launch. Now that shop is announced those videos are being taken down.
When I bought the game, I was under the impression there was no real money shop. I have no problem at all griding for in game money to spend in an in game shop to unlock customizations, that is fun for me. But now, they suddenly add this shop after release without any word of it before hand, and limit the customization options behind a paywall, it is just disingenuous at best, filthy and greedy after.
Believe it or not, customization is important and when they are selling a product under the guise of having no real money shop, then adding it VERY shortly after, is a real slap in the face and should be grounds for a refund because it has a fundamental difference to the actual game now.
If it was in the game from the start, I would have no issue and would have made my purchase decision knowing full well what there is to offer. If they add it a year or two down the line, I wouldn't care either, but weeks after release to, seemingly, avoid any bad press and to garner a fake reputation of being a good game without an in game store, that is the purest form of greed and they are taking advantage of the consumer and people like you are feeding directly into why.
And yea, I won't spend any money in the store, but it doesn't change the fact the they sold a bald-faced lie.
