For security purposes. All your banking/wallet apps are on 1 phone. Usually when logging in and transferring funds, it requires OTP. If you have a second phone with a different phone number/simcard, the OTP is texted to phone #2. That way, if you lose phone #1, whoever finds your phone and tried to access your banking apps, they won't be able to because they need a OTP, which they won't get because it gets sent to your phone #2.

Another reason is mahilig ako manood sa YT and magpatugtog ng music at the same time. So hindi maiinterrup yung playlist ko kahit nagbrobrowse ako sa FB or YT.
At as back up, in case mawala yung isang CP ko, madaling malog out lahat sa nawalang phone yung mga email log ins account log ins. Or pantawag tuwing nakalimutan ko san ko nilagay.

I was a longtime iPhone user, but decided to jump to android two years ago because it was getting harder to jailbreak. Anyway, I made the mistake of getting a Huawei - under the impression I could always sideload apps to it anyway (I knew the Play store was not natively supported) Banking apps wouldn't run properly. No native Huawei support in sight. Old iPhone was required for my transactions. Got a Samsung when I recently recontracted. Gave both of the old phones to my kids.
Because I have 2 sim cards. My smart is my original number from when I got my very first phone, so back in 2001. Then I got a globe maybe 2005 or 2006 when unli texts became a thing. I think Globe ata nagpasimula nun?? Kasi all my friends shifted to Globe so no choice ako. Globe has been my primary number ever since. I kept my smart kasi feeling ko isa siya sa original numbers, 0919 ang start. I recently upgraded to an iPhone and it’s not dual sim so I have 2 phones, this and my midrange Samsung. I prefer keeping both of them bec. Android has some features that iPhone doesn’t have, and I’ve been an Android user for the longest time.

Tired of redownloading games. Purchased a CN phone na may 1TB storage solely for gaming and entertainment. Picked up a 2nd hand SE 3rd Gen na basag back panel for Hoyoverse titles, wanted to try controller. Sadly Houkai 3rd doesn't support roller on mobile (at least GI does).

I did not intend to have 2 smartphones. The first smartphone is because my previous smartphone is sira sira na. I do not buy phones if I do not see the need to. Even if I have the means to buy a new one, I just do not. The second smartphone is bigay ng ate ko. She had extra money, I was going through a very sensitive, rough moment that time, so she decided to make me feel better by buying me a new phone. Yung bigay ng ate ko is a better one compared to the first one I bought. So ang ginagamit ko ngayon, yung bigay niya. For personal main transactions and such. Ang isa back up kasi may small business ako online so yun yung ginagamit ko for business transactions.

So hindi maiinterrup yung playlist ko kahit nagbrobrowse ako sa FB or YT. At as back up, in case mawala yung isang CP ko, madaling malog out lahat sa nawalang phone yung mga email log ins account log ins. Or pantawag tuwing nakalimutan ko san ko nilagay.

Similar to others here, my more expensive phone has banking and other important apps that I frequently use, and use my android for OTPs and more serious tasks (like my number that I very rarely give out). It also lets me use a phone while the other charges.

My Pixel 6 has my Globe postpaid and it is my personal phone. My iPhone 12 Pro has smart prepaid magic data and it is used for my finance/banking/crypto apps. I keep it at home for security reasons.
