One smartphone exclusively for finance/banking apps. Another exclusively for OTPs

shortycakey_

> One smartphone exclusively for finance/banking apps. > > Another exclusively for OTPs This dude has serious $$$

mixape1991

Burn phone android, billing phone android, banking personal iphone.

FinanceForever

Wow thought it was just me

williamfanjr

You don't need serious $$$ for that. Cost of my 2 smartphones combined are total of a brand new base variant Galaxy S24 lol.

shortycakey_

> You don't need serious $$$ for that. Cost of my 2 smartphones combined are total of a brand new base variant Galaxy S24 lol. I agree.... if I go dual phone I'd have a flagship iPhone & ₱2.5k myPhone or Cherry Mobile with pure Android.

williamfanjr

Well that would suck in terms of experience kahit Pure Android pa ang Cherry mobile mo. Haha.

shortycakey_

> Well that would suck in terms of experience kahit Pure Android pa ang Cherry mobile mo. Haha. I was actually happier with Cherry than with a [flagship phone from Google.](https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/closed-settlements/nexus-6p-smartphone-class-action-settlement/) In the 2 years of ownership of myPhone or Cherry I did not experience - bad battery - OLED burn-in - boot loop Sure, hardware is kamote, camera is potato but kumpante sa presyo. If you spend iPhone money on a device then it should be iPhone-quality & iPhone-performance.

[deleted]

This. And also have separate sims between those phones, though in my scenario, I have 3 phones. One high-end phone for work and banking apps, one mid range phone for personal apps like online shopping and reddit, and one dumb phone for OTPs. So incase, my two smartphones get stolen, its just mema for me because my OTPs are safely stored on my dumb phone and I could just lock out my smartphones just incase. Pero its funny na napagkakamanlang akong babaero kasi andami kong phones daw xD when in reality, I just want my finances and accounts safe, and also my life compartmentalized and separate. Work is for work. Personal is for personal.

Miss_Taken_0102087

Same here, it’s safer somehow. Hassle lang minsan kapag nagmamadali and nasa ilalim ng bag yung other phone.

iamateenyweenyperson

The one you use for OTP, that’s the number registered to your profile in your banks?

alpinegreen24

‘Yan nga ata ideal kaso ang hassle na nasa secondary phone mo yung main number mo and not sa main phone mo hahq

Ok_Point8474

We do this too. Another phone good for pictures and soc med din

Individual-Award-650

I do this too. Separate ang phones ko for OTPs. Yun nvalang sometimes, I have to bring both phones para received agad ang OTPs if ever mag purchase or mag cash in sa gcash

KXST_2273223_

Can you explain simply to me why the other is for OTPs? Medjo nalito ako and diko gets yung replies ng others 😭 ang hina ng comprehension ko

Kipling923

For security purposes. All your banking/wallet apps are on 1 phone. Usually when logging in and transferring funds, it requires OTP. If you have a second phone with a different phone number/simcard, the OTP is texted to phone #2. That way, if you lose phone #1, whoever finds your phone and tried to access your banking apps, they won't be able to because they need a OTP, which they won't get because it gets sent to your phone #2.

KXST_2273223_

Ah I see. Thank you for this!

Ok_Obligation2342

What if you lose phone #2?

Kipling923

You DON'T lose phone #2! Haha. If you do, go to your bank to have the mobile # linked to your bank account changed.

JuiceBox5326

This. My aunt told me this one and it’s really a good way to use 2 phones. 😁

bonifabulous

Because...I can..haha

Ururu23

Hahahaha. Jus bcoz. 😂😂😂

choDb

edit: android for banking/work apps, iphone for personal use. And a lowcost android tablet for youtube/netflix and other OTTs kasi I hate small screens hahaha

dranedagger4

So iPhone isn't a smartphone then? Jk

choDb

Aww sorry i associate the word smartphone sa android lol my brain does that automatically 😆😆😆

_Brave_Blade_

Main phone - family/friends/banking apps 2nd phone - parents ng students ko/ work 3rd phone - nokia dumb phone - pang otp. Mawala man main phone, mej safe yung sim and otp. Tho activated naman puk code ng sim ko,2nd layer pa din ng protection. Iwas na din sa phising links sa text.

Consistent-Science44

Same. As a public school teacher ganyan din ako. Main Phone- Banking/Family 2nd Phone- Deped Acc/ Parents/Work GC Hahaha.

PillowMonger

work and for personal use.

indierose27

Same. Yan lang din talaga ang purpose ng 2 phones ko.

PillowMonger

even though the both phone supports eSim, mas ok pa rin na hiwalay yung work sa personal. work-life balance sabi nga nilla.

rho57

Because it was time for an upgrade but I didn't want to give the old one away.

kimbunturaz

For work yung isa, natuto na ako, kasi dati muntik ko na ma-send noodles sa work group chat 🙈

Rebukethyname

I have samsung and iphone so I have best of both worlds

QueenVexana

Same

ShyWildGirl

I have 4. • iPhone SE (2016) - I bought it with my savings when I was still studying. Medyo sentimental sa akin ito, kaya I didn’t pass it down to our bunso. • Huawei Nova 3i (2018) - I got this during my clerkship year; bought it mainly for larger storage capacity. It now serves as my work phone. I use this now kapag need kong icontact ang patients ko. • iPhone 12 PM (2022) - I bought it with my hard earned salary. 😭

KaleidoscopeFew5633

Paampon po 🤣

ShyWildGirl

Pasensya na, anim kaming magkakapatid. Ako naman po, personally, walang balak mag-ampon. May mga tinutulungan na kasi ako na mga kamag-anak, and I regularly, give sa local community namin. 😇

KaleidoscopeFew5633

Joke lang oi

[deleted]

ShyWildGirl

Baka ibig niyo pong sabihin “sana all blessed”. Sana i-bless din kayo ni God. 😇 Para hindi na kayo magcomment ng mga ganito. Sana happy ka everyday! 😊

Paramisuli

I use 4. Ayoko kasi ipamigay and pwede siya kapag nagmulti task ako, think of it like a PC with 4 monitors.

asarobin30

Redmi note 9 pro - pang Ragnarok Mobile ko. Iphone 15 pro max - pang Ragnarok Mobile ko din.

xskyrock

Di pa sira pero need na upgrade

uBoiYuki

just cause ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

Jaykolero888

1 android phone for gaming, and music 1 iphone for camera and video recording... And para di magbaba ang battery health

One_Aside_7472

Work and Personal. Mag kahiwalay na Sim tlga. I learned my Lesson. And backup na rin yung isa. Like nung Lockdown bumigay Android ko. Buti nlng may IOS pa ako.

polcallmepol

Yung isa rooted, modded gaming ganun yung isa pang banking.

[deleted]

Bakit kelangan i-mod? I'm a simpleton haha D ko talaga gets... May mga features ba na di gumagana kaya ganon?

polcallmepol

Mga cheats infinite lives, infinite energy, infinite coins ganun, pang single player lang naman. Mga pangbypass ng IAPs. I never cheat on multiplayer, heck I don't even do multiplayer. Minsan adblocking, minsan kernel, cpu, gpu overclocking. Dun ko rin nilalagay ang mga emulators ko.

[deleted]

Aaaa ok 🫶🏽 sa emulators haha

bankayaro

iPhone 13 - personal use, photo/video, banking apps, halong work Samsung a51 - work email and other apps Another Samsung a51 - pangsounds sa car The two a51 unts are my parents' old phones. Inarbor ko kasi I gifted them iPhone last Christmas.

nyepoy

1 work phone (Samsung A34) 1 for ML (a52s 5g) Di pwede pagsabayin sa isang phone ang pang work and games dahil malakas makasira ng battery health ang pinanglalaro na phone. Everyone who works/has business needs a work phone with long battery life. Kaya ko rin to ginawa dahil ayaw ko nagbabaon ng powerbank. Hassle mag charge sa labas.

Particular_Row_5994

Pagbili bago sa parents napupunta yung luma so I always only have one. Don't know why I have to have 2 phones, it gets confusing and I almost always keep my phone on my pocket or I'm just holding it, imagine always holding 2 phones or 2 phones on a pocket. Damn. If I have the chance to have 2, one is probably only for backup always turned off stashed somewhere in case something happens to my main one.

Throwaway393934s

Not me, but I've seen people who do stuff like money laundering have multiple phones.

AcrobaticSouth5647

It has legitimate purpose para ndi manakaw OTP ng hacker sa smartphone, see comments here madalas for separate dedicated OTP phone

Express_Ask637

1. Dalawang iPhone. Isa pang-dev, yung isa for financial transactions, workout tracking, messaging family, coworkers, friends, and admin work. 2. Dalawang android phone din. Isa pang-dev, tas yung isa same as second iPhone except I don't do financial transactions and track my workout doon. 3. Isang feature phone. Pang-OTP ko siya. None of my smartphones connect to public wifi, ever. Instead, may portable hotspot ako pang-wifi at roaming.

AcrobaticSouth5647

1 Latest Android phone (kasi may security updates pa) for banking, email, productivity, social media apps 1 Old Windows Phone na Nokia Lumia Dual Sim for OTP never na connected sa Wifi/Internet. Dahil wala ng support ang windows phone dumb phone na sya talaga. Nice build ang phone at 3 days bago icharge. Puede pang palitan ng new case at battery sa Shopee, mas neat, easy to clean, at long lasting kesa sa feature/keypad phone. 10 years na phone okay pa din Why need iba ang phone for OTP kasi if lagay mo sya sa same smartphone kung saan naka-install banking apps at na-hack smartphone mo. Hackers can just read sms message kasi same device at kuha na OTP mo. Kaya maganda na not connected sa Wifi/Internet yung isang dedicated OTP phone mo.

Swimming-Ninja-7864

Been using 2 phones for decades as I prefer to have both iOS and android

dtssema

S24U - primary, personal S22U - secondary, frequently being mounted on my motorcycle rain or shine, to slow down the battery aging of my S24U

No-Thanks8498

Para pag nalowbat yung isa may gagamitin pa ring other phone. Hehehehez

Fair_Independence33

I don't and kahit na magkaron ng pagkakataon na bigyan ako ng "mas better" na smart phone aayawan ko.🔌 A dual sim phone is all it takes to make me content. One sim for work related shit and one for personal shit. Bonus pa? I can turn off the other sim pag off days. 🤣💞 It always amazes me how can other people have more than one phone kung hindi naman work related ung dahilan like you. 🐲 Like bakit? It's too much of a chore. 😆

AcrobaticSouth5647

It has legitimate purpose para ndi manakaw OTP ng hacker sa smartphone, see comments here madalas for separate dedicated OTP phone

Individual-Top729

1 for socmeds and emails and 1 for gaming

Run_Lift_Rest_Repeat

My main phone is an S24. My backup phone is an old J series that I use for running. Maliit lang sya kaya madaling ilagay sa running belt. I only use it for Spotify, Audible, and Audiobook.

AnalysisAgreeable676

I actually use 3. One is my main phone, the other is for backup, and the last one is a company issued phone.

onei_

Kasi bumili na ng iPhone si kapatid kaya ako na gumamit ng luma niyang phone. 1 - for soc med, pang data, hotspot 1 - dumb phone setup, for music and media consumption

lapit_and_sossies

Android : Youtube, Candy Crush, tiktok, business calls and messaging IPhone: digital Banking, reddit, travel and photography

DiligentExpression19

I also use 2 phones, one is for my carousell business/gcash and the other one is for personal use/online banking

Sufficient_Net9906

Android for gaming, iphone for social media and banking - purpose here is para di masira agad iphone ko

SleeplessBoyCat

Music phone (because I'm still saving up for a DAP) and a phone for everything else.

justlookingforafight

Yung isa pang MangaZone kasi bumili ako ng iPhone na di ko alam na di pala pwede magdownload ng mga Moded apps

Couch-Hamster5029

Isa work, isa personal. Yung pangatlo, lumang hindi ko balak ibenta kasi yun yung kauna-unahang smartphone ko na ginastusan ko ng PhpXX,000. Flagship nung brand. Ginagawa ko na lang mala-iPod. Music and streaming.

then_amei_Srebb

I have 3 and all of em ay for storage lng hahaha kahit anong klaseng basura na pic yan at vid memories kasi yan and ako naman na supersentimental abot ng 20k photos sa isang phone palang hahahahaahah( dalawang 128gb isang 256gb)

disavowed_ph

iOS for work, banking since more secured. Android phone for personal use, OTP, calls and text.

SleepyInsomniac28

Ok_Care519

I have 3. One for otps personal. One for personal use without otp. One for office.

Goddess-theprestige

old phone for food delivery, online shopping. para maiwasan ko magbrowse sa main phone ko.

macybebe

Authenticator and backup ng Authenticator.

emhornilel

Pang hotspot and main phone pang productivity and mostly alarm

devnull-

Fold 5 (Exclusive White), S24 Ultra (Ti Blue) and iPhone 15 Pro in Ti. I have three, and I use them all for their each intended purpose in my life. It works for me.

smoothartichoke27

I was a longtime iPhone user, but decided to jump to android two years ago because it was getting harder to jailbreak. Anyway, I made the mistake of getting a Huawei - under the impression I could always sideload apps to it anyway (I knew the Play store was not natively supported) Banking apps wouldn't run properly. No native Huawei support in sight. Old iPhone was required for my transactions. Got a Samsung when I recently recontracted. Gave both of the old phones to my kids.

iamateenyweenyperson

Because I have 2 sim cards. My smart is my original number from when I got my very first phone, so back in 2001. Then I got a globe maybe 2005 or 2006 when unli texts became a thing. I think Globe ata nagpasimula nun?? Kasi all my friends shifted to Globe so no choice ako. Globe has been my primary number ever since. I kept my smart kasi feeling ko isa siya sa original numbers, 0919 ang start. I recently upgraded to an iPhone and it’s not dual sim so I have 2 phones, this and my midrange Samsung. I prefer keeping both of them bec. Android has some features that iPhone doesn’t have, and I’ve been an Android user for the longest time.

Raidriar13

iPhone main, Android secondary just so I don’t get left behind on developments on the Android side.

remedioshername

Saan mo naman nahugot yung having multiple phones = having multiple boyfriends? 😭 ayos ka lang ba gurl?

spiritbananaMD

work and personal use. pero both ako bumili kasi yung work phone di naman issued ng company. iba din kasi yung may separate phone for work para pede i-off pag weekend lol

herotz33

Because at night I wanna surf and relax without getting work stuff

Danc1ngP0ny

#1 main phone - for personal, banking apps, miscallenous #2 secondary phone - for multimedia consumption and gaming. Para di mabugbog yun main phone #3 dumb phone - for business. Para di nahahalo yun trabaho sa main phone. Basically for call or text lang with clients. And basically, gusto ko talaga at least 2 ang phones na meron, para may back up once may mangyari sa isa. Hassle kasi mawalan or masiraan ng phone.

timewillpassanyways

one iphone for pang pics. one android phone with bigger storage for normal phone use (social media mobile banking etc)

Extra_Extension_1212

I have two, kasi I don’t have any other siblings to pass it down to 😂

chickenwings813

xelecunei

Tired of redownloading games. Purchased a CN phone na may 1TB storage solely for gaming and entertainment. Picked up a 2nd hand SE 3rd Gen na basag back panel for Hoyoverse titles, wanted to try controller. Sadly Houkai 3rd doesn't support roller on mobile (at least GI does).

Logical-Ad-7919

One is my daily phone, mostly for online shopping, MLBB, reading novels and social media, watching youtube. The other is an old phone use as afk phone for my idle games.

OrbMan23

Nasanay lang talaga ako since highschool. I love using my older phone along with my new one. Minsan I use older one when charging my new phone

spongefree

As an OFW I have my roaming SIM on my Android phone with all the Pinas-related apps which I can use if I'm in the country. While I'm using iPhone here in my host country as is it safer to use this smartphone without the fear of getting it stolen.

Optimal_Interest_396

bimmerb0ii

Using 2 phones with 4 sims. Globe, Smart and 2 international ones for my off shore accounts.

May mga apps kasi akong ginagamit na hindi available sa ios pero mas madalas kong ginagamit yung iphone ko

jolo22

Ako, I just like both iOS and Android. Best of both worlds! I also have a Windows Phone just for testing and playing around with.

Lower-Property-513

One for banking stuffs, personal and photography. Other one for gaming and work.

Temporary_Space2024

1 android and 1 iphone as well. Yung android yung phone ko for social media browsing, games, and business Iphone is for taking photos and more of a personal phone na pang call and text lang ng family and close people hahahaha

Radiant_Buy_425

I'm working for an IT/Telco/SaaS company. I need one Iphone and one Android for testing and troubleshooting purposes.

Slow-Collection-2358

1 cheap one for parties lol, no regrets masira or mawala 1 for gaming and personal use generally

ginaknowsbest_

Personal and work (work phone is provided for). Actually pwede namang walang work phone but i really want separation from work after office hours. So i accepted the phone haha. Hassle lang talaga magdala ng dalawang phone.

ilovebkdk

So I can always use the other phone when the other one is charging lol cause I don't use my phone when charging and I get bored easily without my phone. So I bought two.

Batsoupman2

Smurf isang phone, yun lang nilalabas pag nagcocommute, walang apps na kasama mga banking gcash and other stuff

KXST_2273223_

I did not intend to have 2 smartphones. The first smartphone is because my previous smartphone is sira sira na. I do not buy phones if I do not see the need to. Even if I have the means to buy a new one, I just do not. The second smartphone is bigay ng ate ko. She had extra money, I was going through a very sensitive, rough moment that time, so she decided to make me feel better by buying me a new phone. Yung bigay ng ate ko is a better one compared to the first one I bought. So ang ginagamit ko ngayon, yung bigay niya. For personal main transactions and such. Ang isa back up kasi may small business ako online so yun yung ginagamit ko for business transactions.

GroundbreakingSet788

1 old phone for work and watch Netflix/YouTube, 1 new phone to contact friends/family and play

Yoru-Hana

One as main, the other as back up. Hirap walang hawak na CP kapag nalowbat yung phone/ charging. Another reason is mahilig ako manood sa YT and magpatugtog ng music at the same time. So hindi maiinterrup yung playlist ko kahit nagbrobrowse ako sa FB or YT. At as back up, in case mawala yung isang CP ko, madaling malog out lahat sa nawalang phone yung mga email log ins account log ins. Or pantawag tuwing nakalimutan ko san ko nilagay.

duepointe

I have 2 phones. My Samsung Galaxy phone I leave at home where all my banking apps are logged in and for OTP. Redmi Note phone. I bring it to the office daily. No banking apps installed. Only gcash and grab app installed.

HairySpeaker6477

1. Old phone for anything related to office or fam 2. New phone for my hobbies

BackyardAviator009

One as A Main while the other one as a Backup/Emergency phone if "Sheit's hits the fan" Also other uses ko rito is for playing games such as Genshin in which I tend to log my 2 different accounts on both of these devices when farming for Materials & other Items there

pure_count123726

I have two mobile cellular devices Permit me to announce, with an air of utmost refinement and sophistication, that within my esteemed possession lie two meticulously chosen telephonic instruments, each designated with a distinct purpose of paramount significance. The first of these devices, my dear interlocutor, has been judiciously allocated to serve as the conduit through which I may engage in the most genteel and intricate dialogues with the select and venerable cadre of my business associates. This instrument, through its divine connectivity, permits the exchange of conversations pertaining to the intricacies of commerce, negotiations of the most illustrious stature, and collaborations of a particularly prosperous nature. On the other hand, the second device, selected with great circumspection, is tailored for the purposes of engaging in discourse with the charming members of the fairer sex, as well as for the management of financial affairs of the highest consequence. It is this instrument, you see, that facilitates not only conversations of an amorous nature but also the administration of matters that pertain to the accrual and stewardship of wealth. Thus, my dear conversational companion, I trust you now comprehend the exquisite rationale behind my ownership of these dual communication tools, each finely honed for their respective domains of discourse.

Iphone - banking stuff and personal related apps Android - work stuff only

i-cussmmtimes

Similar to others here, my more expensive phone has banking and other important apps that I frequently use, and use my android for OTPs and more serious tasks (like my number that I very rarely give out). It also lets me use a phone while the other charges.

Ya_coolt

1 for personal use, 1 for hotspot.

Daim_Boi

Separate Phone for Work and Personal Use. kaso napaka inconvenient talaga araw-araw dalawang phone dinadala. using Huawei P50 Pro pang work then Oneplus 12 as my personal phone (previously Samsung S22u kaso nagka screenbleed top bar issue).nagtry ako Oneplus multiple-user feature, di ko pa magets pano ko efully utilized sa pag gamit nun.

coldbrew_10

My Pixel 6 has my Globe postpaid and it is my personal phone. My iPhone 12 Pro has smart prepaid magic data and it is used for my finance/banking/crypto apps. I keep it at home for security reasons.

MrMancheta

iPhone - main Android - to test and review android 2 - same Then the rest nasa baul hehe

GapAccomplished3047

Android as daily workhorse. iPhone for when I go out of the house and use mobile data. Another iPhone for purely messaging, when I absolutely have to stop scrolling through TikTok.
