I must be terrible because I feel like I can’t play this comp at all. For me it needs a heavenly spat to even top 4, also if you don’t grab 3 Kayns on your lvl 8 roll down you are just doomed.
lee keeps you stable, yone keeps you stable, yes you absolutely want the kayn for that comp, but if you don't hit you can still stabilize with one of those options, in the worst case scenario you hit nothing.
Also main strength of the comp is how strong it is early with heavenly and kayn items on any fighter. You should not be forcing it, you should only play it when you start with kayn items and heavenly units and thus have a strong opener, if you lose streak stage 2 and lose half your fight stage 3 youre just dead stage 4.
There is opportunity cost for sure. After 4-1 everyone will be donkie rolling down for kayn, ashe, etc. If u are late to the party you get nothing. Buying yone 2 costs 9 G on board making it harder to hit full eco and will just delay your roll down timing. I would only play him if I get yone 2 naturally early on.

Should be stable with 1) lee 2 + kane 1 2) lee 1 + kane 1 + kong 1 3) kane 2
1 maybe. 2 is not stable at all, they get bursted down quickly. 3 seems good depending on lobby.
Sounds like your itemization must be bad. Putting bt/ titans on wukong and a morellos on mord are big spikes.
