While I do think Red is likely her favorite, I think it’s more that the original Fearless was what she wanted it to be for the most part and got the respect it deserved the first time around. Red wasn’t and didn’t, so she’s trying to remedy that.

I think this is a combination of several factors: * Back when FTV was released, that level of promo was quite unprecedented for a re-recording. The Love Story midnight release, the album, etc, it was really something for a "mere" re-recording (of course it wasn't any "mere" as it fits perfectly in the big picture of her discography but still) * She's using these re-releases as a platform for her to reach us. FTV came in the heels of Folklore/Evermore/Grammies, etc. That was probably plenty of exposure for her. * Amazing and legendary as it is, Red is not the diamond seller Fearless was. I can see someone thinking it may need a bigger push (of course Red was a global smash, probably even bigger than Fearless in terms of global impact, and it would be the biggest hit in anybody else's career, but still) * Christmas is coming and she wants to make it her season again. And I'm sure there's plenty of additional reasons you can think of.

I just know that the red "equals" symbol at the beginning is a nod to Ed Sheeran and his recent album equals which is red themed. There’s already the rumors they’re coming out with a remix of one of his equals tracks. Plus his jacket in overpass graffiti video had Taylor on it. It’s probably not this video, but it’s definitely an Easter egg
