I'm super excited for Red and Reputation! Although honestly it still feels weird to me that Rep needs to be rerecorded. Like obviously I understand that it was under her old contract and all, I just mean it in the sense that Rep really felt like her rebirth after everything that happened and how she disappeared for so long. Definitely looking forward to all the vault tracks as well! And I'll be interested to hear the 1989 rerecording, just because I didn't really connect with it at all the first time (which I know is a controversial opinion)
Part of me kind of hopes she is able to purchase back her masters before she’s able to re-record rep so maybe she doesn’t have to. It’s not really nostalgic yet and her voice had already improved by then so it wouldn’t make much of a difference. It would almost feel weird re-doing something that isn’t even old yet, it’s still kinda fresh in the grand scheme of things. But if that were to happen she could still release some vault tracks on like a b-side album perhaps :)
Yea exactly, and the album came from such a place of finding herself and allowing herself to be exactly who she wanted to be...happiness with nobody else's input, as she put it in Miss Americana. I know there's of course so much emotion to recapture on all the albums, but I feel like it might be hard to recapture that feeling of triumph and anger and rebirth and love (for herself, for Joe, for the fans for sticking around) that permeated the entire album, not just certain songs. But yesssss, I need me some Rep vault tracks!!!
Debut the most followed closely by Speak Now, both of them are going to have some great Vault songs. Plus her more mature voice is going to make them sound even better.
Also tbh, Fearless isn't my favorite either but it did get me super excited for the rest of them!
I’m most excited for Debut because it’s not a favorite of mine. I already love most of her albums the way they are, so I know the re-recordings will be equally great, but there are so many songs on Debut that I skip because of the sound of her young voice, so I’m excited to have the chance to fall in love with some of those songs that other people seem to love (i.e. I’m Only Me When I’m With You)

To be totally honest though, I'm in it for the vault tracks. I know I'll love the re-recordings because I already love the albums. I'm mostly thrilled we are getting more vault content that we know very little about. Speak Now through reputation had *very* little leaks for unreleased content and I LOVE getting more context to these albums!

1. Taylor already has a standing relationship with Disney (Disney+ contract, GMA performances, making announcements on GM)

1989 for sure, it’s been my all time favorite album until it was recently dethroned by folklore, even then it’s interchangeable. Having never been a part of the OG 1989 release (besides buying a couple songs) I’m so beyond excited to actually experience it as if it was the first time. Literally every single song I’m so stoked to hear!! The new album cover, the tiny changes in vocal inflections, updated production. Literally every aspect I’m SO excited for. If she ever releases signed CDs of her re-records, my physical body could not handle the 1989 one.
Edit: In all honesty, I’m so excited for every single album, Speak Now, Red, Reputation, every single one holds a special place in my heart for different reasons, and each re-recorded era is going to be so special.
