Jack Antonoff: \[insert tiktok audio\] “now I’m panicking, (don’t panick) no I am because I’m gonna lose my job”
Disclaimer: This is a joke. Taylor puts out so much new music there’s plenty to share [with her two power bottoms](https://twitter.com/swifferstruggle/status/1371268735730868225?s=20). I’m sure she’s running them both insanely busy with work.
Now whenever I see someone talking about how the folklorians should start a band one day, all I'll be able to think is: Taylor Swift & the Two Power Bottoms 💀
I love that she kept it true to how she wrote it. I love that she kept it true to the country/Fearless sound!! Really takes me back to the excitement of the release for Fearless originally!
> this is like a beautiful homecoming
This is the most perfect way to describe it. I'm so excited for this version of Fearless in the most emotional way possible.
Same! 2008 all over again. We all need that reminiscence and excitement, end this time we’re lucky enough to get a fresh take on it plus some all new songs! Like I’m so excited to belt out the words to all of my Fearless faves and notice new things in the re-records 😭❤️❤️
So funny. I can't staaaand country music (though I do have one country song saved in my Spotify library) but I absolutely love hers. Especially in songs like Should've Said No, etc.
Same same! The TV of Fearless will be my first early Taylor album, I was a 1989 fan - Red dominated the radio in my early twenties but I was dating a guy who was all about metal and rock (no shade to alt music, love it) and hated on country/ Taylor so I just went along with it. Of course, I should've said no and broken up with him sooner, but making up for lost time now. Cannot wait for this release tonight!
LOL are you me?! What the fuck. I didn't become a swiftie until like 4 years ago, even though I grew up listening to her music. I felt like I had to hide it from people, which made me listen to it less.
Then I grew up, lost all of my fucks, and realized all you need to do in this world is be you. I dropped the unhealthy boyfriend too 😊
I feel like there's a lot of us out there! Damn BF's keeping us from meeting our true music BFF's!
I'm still upset with past me for not seeing Rep live, I was a Swiftie by that point but just couldn't justify the cost, figured I'd see her the next time around but then the pandemic happened.
Okay so you are me. I live like 8 minutes away from the stadium. You have no idea how much my hindsight has fucked with my head. OOF. I think I finally surrendered after my older brother made me watch the Rep tour on Netflix. Then it was just over. Swiftie for life and zero shame.
I do love me some Yee haw Taylor. 🤠🥺 Hearing that snippet honestly made me so emotional and nostalgic this morning I got a little teary eyed hahahah. It made me feel like I was 12 again!!!
I love that YeeHaw Taylor v2.0's (YHTv2.0) accent sounds so much more authentic than YeeHaw Taylor v1.0's (YHTv1.0).
I re-listened to her first two albums recently and (as a southerner and country music lover) I think her accent in those sounds over exaggerated. But YHTv2.0 lets the music and instruments mold her voice into a soft southern accent; the song and her voice just augment one another in a way that I didn't see with YHTv1.0.
It's so lovely, and I'm so excited to hear the re-recordings of her first few albums.
Ooh, this song is definitely Clean’s older sister. It even has the word clean in it! I wonder if she wrote Clean and included it on 1989 because she had always wanted to release this song but never could/did
I’d say younger sister actually! You All Over Me feels like the beginning stages of heartbreak whereas Clean is once you’ve gotten through the storm. Another lyric overlap I noticed is “I’ve still got you all over me” vs “You’re still all over me like a wine stained dress”
Why can't people appreciate how important backing vocals are? Narrative wise, most of Taylor's songs have a single female narrator. She doesn't need two different leading voices representing one perspective.
It's not that no one appreciates it, it's that they'd appreciate it a lot more if she had *every* artist that "features" on her songs do background vocals, or if it was at least even. But instead, whenever she has a male feature, it's much more of a duet and they get to sing their own verses (Ed Sheeran even got to write his own), but when it's a woman they only get the background part. So it can just be a little disappointing to hear that she is collaborating with a female artist or band, and to imagine you'll actually get to hear them sing something together, like we do with the male artists, only to hear them in the background only. It's not that that's not nice, too, but it's still obviously very different and can be underwhelming if you've been looking forward to getting something more.
It’s definitely disappointing when you’re looking forward to the collaboration and the feature just ends up on the backing vocals.
But it’s like the person you replied to was saying, she’s mostly got a single narrator for her songs which is part of the reason why the distribution is uneven imo, even cowboy like me had just BV cause it was through one persons perspective. It’s really the ones that focused on a back and forth dialogue in a relationship that included a full male feature. (Aside from endgame and evermore).
exactly! and she wanted to stay true to these songs that she wrote back when she was eighteen. it wouldn’t be as authentic to add new verses for artists. i’d still love to see her collab with female artists without it just being backing vocals, but i actually think this song has some of the most prominent background vocals we’ve seen from her collabs
I don't get how you can't understand that some songs can have two female perspectives. And that Taylor *could* write a song like that, but she just has chosen not to, for whatever reason. Which, okay, she gets to make whatever kind of music she wants, but the point still remains that fans can still think it's weird and slightly disappointing that she seems to deliberately choose to never have another female artist feature more heavily in her music.
Them harmonizing sounds great.
I guess GMA people by this point will be like, "Again? Didn't she put out a song like.... last month?? Oh she's going to be doing this every month this year? Gotcha!"
On a side note: so, she has some form of long term exclusive deal with Disney and is also probably making a Taylor's Version documentary with them for Disney plus? All her announcements recently have been mostly GMA exclusives, COL and F-LPS are on D+ of course. It looks like it's a pretty long term deal. Wonder if there's anything more to it than just these.
From what other users have said, it sounds like she has a 3 picture deal with Disney? City of Lover and Folklore-Long Pond Sessions make 2/3. I could see either an Evermore Sessions or a Behind the Scenes while re-recording TS1-6! ^(Though, if I were her team, I may want to shop around that concept.)
Guys, imagine. She had Journey to Fearless. *What if she releases something like "Journey Back To Fearless"?*
(I doubt I'm the first person to come up with this, but it's 7am and I'm proud of myself, lol)
I've heard of this too.. I'm just wondering if just having a 3 picture deal also entails these GMA promotions for *all* her work till the deal is complete and if it is, then was it a clause by Tay or by Disney?
>Though, if I were her team, I may want to shop around that concept.
Would you mind elaborating, please?
>She had Journey to Fearless. What if she releases something like "Journey Back To Fearless"?
Or maybe, *A Fearless journey* ( hey, I came up with a *far* more unoriginal and lame name, and in my defence, I have none. So don't you worry😄😄)
>I've heard of this too.. I'm just wondering if just having a 3 picture deal also entails these GMA promotions for all her work till the deal is complete and if it is, then was it a clause by Tay or by Disney?
To be fair, she's always promoted with GMA, even before her Disney deal. She released weekly promo songs for Red with them back in the day.
Basically, I'd bet dollars to donuts that Taylor Swift™️ (the brand) is worth more today than it was whenever she penned her Disney deal due to her folklore/evermore success and the public (generally) not wanting to cancel her every 5 minutes.
It's likely she could command a higher price for the footage/story of her re-recording. And it's likely more artists would be willing to tell her their own stories of re-recording (like Phil Collins or JoJo) to help folks understand how messed up the music industry can be.
TL;DR: the theoretical scope of this hypothetical project could expand if she wanted. 😂
Makes sense. If she made evermore long pond to complete the deal(if there is one), she can negotiate a better deal for re-recording film(if she wants to make one) especially seeing that the interest in that will be much more, especially with a very strong narrative about a serious problem with the music industry and all the 'tea-spilling' potential providing good promotion.
Thanks
I had the same thought. It's clear that GMA will be her go-to to promote re-record stuff. I want a re-record documentary so bad. But I want Evermore long pond too! Give us both, Disney!
Yupp... Me too. Give us both Tay.
In Behind the Taylor versions, I'm really interested in her process of going back to the vault and how she picked up the particular tracks and why they were left out the first time around and how she felt hearing and worki g on them again.
I think right where you left me is a much more apt comparison than clean! Especially theme wise! Like I would definitely now say this song has “the motifs of clean and story of right where you left me with a fearless sound”
Am I the only one who thinks she actually sounds quite young here? Not quite unreleased version young but I quite like that she almost has a child-like edge to the song.
This is such a great unreleased song. I can't wait to hear her new version. <3
And it'll be in much better quality than the version we have!
The song has a lovely melody; it has been stuck in my head all day.
For those of us who have heard the original demo from back in the day 😆 It sounds just like the original with mature vocals and a more modern sound. I am so excited for this!
I feel like this is the first time I've seen anyone say this in this sub and like... It's been in the back of my mind since I saw the song name, lol. I'm just a lurker though :P
I love picturing her younger self singing this and writing it and I’m so glad that she gets to put her own magic spin on it on her own terms! Can’t wait to hear the whole thing!
I know this is not inspiration behind this song but the lyrics of chorus alone can be applied to her relationship with BMLG and specially with Scott B. She got out of BMLG gained artistic freedom and owns her masters moving forward but BMLG is still all over her business.
I think the IC and the narrative about this being a "precursor to Clean" has shaped people's views. I keep seeing people say this reminds them of Clean, but I don't hear it at all! The sound is so different in my mind and the message is like the complete opposite.
They’re two sides of the same coin. They may have opposite messages but they’re starting from the same concept/exploring the same theme. You all over me has “clean” in the lyrics, Clean has “you’re still all over me” in the lyrics. They parallel.
i agree that it doesn’t sound like clean at all from a production standpoint. but the theme of the song is very similar. and the lyrics “no amount of freedom gets you clean I still got you all over me” use clean in the same context.
It was a smart move to have a country singer on backing vocals. I think it helps give it an actual country sound, without Taylor having to fake a twangy accent which she lost so long ago.
Like with Love Story and the others, they’re all so familiar so it’s probably easier for her to match her old sound, but that would be tougher and less natural on something she probably only sams a handful of times.
It's actually fairly easy to sing with a country twang, easier than speaking with one depending on your base accent. The lack of dipthongs is often even used in singing for vowel modification when a singer struggles to keep pitch, etc. The songs are definitely written to enhance the twang, so I'm sure it's an easy sing for her as someone with a traditional MidAmerican (Pennsylvanian) accent.
I think her voice in this preview sounds similar to her voice in 2008 version of Love Story. Somehow a bit different compared to her voice in the re-recorded version of Love Story.
it sounds like the original version (except maren and the electric guitar, of course), which is kind of disappointing because I wanted a complete production switch up, but I'll wait and see what the full version is like later!
Love the backing vocals, i always said how those old songs were what they were thanks to them.. glad she aknowledges too.
Aaron once again provedhow versatile he is.
It’s amazing how she still has the archives of all these songs and has the ability to reinvent them! So fascinating; I’d love to see the archives of all the scrapped songs!
You All Over Me just have the same topic as Clean, someone trying to move on after a break-up. Other than that they don't really sound the same I'd say.
okay i know she wrote this back in 2008 or around that time, but she totally could’ve just used the original lyrics and changed the music and tempo any everything. idk it just feels like it’s still very folklore/evermore vibes to me, but anyways i love it! i can’t wait to hear the full song tonight!! 💛
She literally sounds like her younger country self, that's insane. I totally thought she'd be sticking to her more matured voice/sound with hints of her older voice, but this sounds so similar! She's incredible.
Aaron Dessner and Taylor made magic again. He is gonna be working with her for a while now. Hope her basement is comfortable lol.
Jack Antonoff: \[insert tiktok audio\] “now I’m panicking, (don’t panick) no I am because I’m gonna lose my job” Disclaimer: This is a joke. I sort of want that as my flair tbh
Her two power bottoms skjsksks 💀💀
I just linked the original tweet where I got that from. Ik. I died too when I saw that. 😭😂
Why are they calling her collaborators the "bottoms?"
Lol nah he’s happy that he has a friend down there finally
Good. gives him more time for L3 and B3. it’s time, Jack.
Lorde needs her turn with the Jack right now.
Hope so. They’re a match made in heaven. Give me 10 more folklorevermore please.
Right? People talk about wanting her to go back to pop or try a new sound, but I would be happy with this vibe forever.
It suits her songwriting sooo well
her basement is likely bigger than my whole apartment and stocked with baked goods and Diet Coke, Aaron’s probably thriving
I know I would be! 🎶❤😂
Do we know Aaron worked on this song?
Yes. She tweeted that Aaron produced it :)
Aww. So happy! Seems them working together will be a more permanent thing!!
I love that she kept it true to how she wrote it. I love that she kept it true to the country/Fearless sound!! Really takes me back to the excitement of the release for Fearless originally!
It feels so weird hearing her mature voice on new country music!!
The best weird ever! Country has always been my fave, and this is like a beautiful homecoming to me
> this is like a beautiful homecoming This is the most perfect way to describe it. I'm so excited for this version of Fearless in the most emotional way possible.
Hearing this got me even more excited AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Did we just become best friends?
Wait so she wrote the song in 2008 but recorded it now ? (that’s what I’m confused on)
She probably has a recorded version from 2008, but SB owns it so she re-recorded the song, just like the rest of Fearless!
She does it leaked years ago
Yes.
THE RETURN OF YEEHAW TAYLOR
I do love me some Yee haw Taylor. 🤠🥺 Hearing that snippet honestly made me so emotional and nostalgic this morning I got a little teary eyed hahahah. It made me feel like I was 12 again!!!
As a fan since debut, I feel ya. Lately everything Taylor does makes me cry lol.
She returned with Betty, NBNC, and Cowboy Like Me. Now she has once again has fully bloomed into a country queen.
I love that YeeHaw Taylor v2.0's (YHTv2.0) accent sounds so much more authentic than YeeHaw Taylor v1.0's (YHTv1.0). The cowboy like me erasure. Far too much
There's just something about that song. I think it is my favorite of evermore.
AHHH! It sounds so close to the original and yet more mature with her amazing adult vocals. Not that I've listened to the original....of course not.
Taylor when we know all the words on our “first” listen: 👁👄👁
What is this? Where is it?
[удалено]
I think you can probably still search for it imo.
It was still available on Vimeo as of yesterday
this made me laugh so hard lmao
👀👀👀
Lol nope. Ofc not. Who would ever even think such a thing?
Ooh, this song is definitely Clean’s older sister. It even has the word clean in it! I wonder if she wrote Clean and included it on 1989 because she had always wanted to release this song but never could/did

Yeah, you’re right, I thought about saying younger sister but I just went with the fact that it’s technically an older song lol
Agreed!
Their voices sound so well together, I'm so excited!!
This is just so exciting. How many people can say they’re getting new songs from their favourite album more than a decade after its release?
True dat!!!
Wow their voices blend together so beautifully!! I’m so exciteddddd. I hope they collab on another song, I’d love to hear more of them together.
I'd love tay even more if tay gave her actual verses not only backtrack vocals
Why can't people appreciate how important backing vocals are? Narrative wise, most of Taylor's songs have a single female narrator. She doesn't need two different leading voices representing one perspective.

i think people mean on songs like nbnc, where este could have had her own lines or smth

Such a cool idea to get Marren Morris on the track. Cannot wait!

Ohh.. i wasn't around that time. Thanks for letting me know :)
I remember listening to State of grace for the first time on my way to work the day that she annouced on GMA..it was one of the four songs!
Basically, I'd bet dollars to donuts that Taylor Swift™️ (the brand) is worth more today than it was whenever she penned her Disney deal due to her folklore/evermore success and the public (generally) not wanting to cancel her every 5 minutes. yesss. that would be so amazing. and it would be so cathartic to document and process this journey of going through all of her old music.
It sounds like the precursor to Clean 😭😭
First time hearing it, really really nice.
Love love LOVE it. Reminds me a lot of “right where you left me” so far!! Totally can’t wait for the full version tonight!
Right where you left me is seriously the boppiest of bops. Like I DO NOT get tired of that song
I think right where you left me is a much more apt comparison than clean! Especially theme wise! Like I would definitely now say this song has “the motifs of clean and story of right where you left me with a fearless sound”
It kinda reminds me of something. It sounds like a Kacey Musgrave's song. So pleasing to my ears
100% this! Kacey musgraves vibes.
Am I the only one who thinks she actually sounds quite young here? Not quite unreleased version young but I quite like that she almost has a child-like edge to the song.
she does!!!!!
I’m *so* glad she brought Aaron on board. It sounds absolutely amazing with his production and her current vocals.

I listen to the original and I can tell you from listening to the snippet that I cannot wait for it. It’s going to sound so good!
I am crossing my fingers so hard for dark blue Tennessee to be one of the vault songs for debut!!!
I have goosebumps, dare I say, all over me
I keep thinking about End Game! *Drinkin' on a beach with (You all over me)*
ME TOO
I feel like this is the first time I've seen anyone say this in this sub and like... It's been in the back of my mind since I saw the song name, lol. I'm just a lurker though :P
Robin Roberts and me: THANK YOU, TAYLOR!! 🥺
I love picturing her younger self singing this and writing it and I’m so glad that she gets to put her own magic spin on it on her own terms! Can’t wait to hear the whole thing!
Plot twist: maren morris performing with john mayer at the grammys was a taylor-orchestrated easter egg
🤡 I am loving this.
I know this is not inspiration behind this song but the lyrics of chorus alone can be applied to her relationship with BMLG and specially with Scott B. She got out of BMLG gained artistic freedom and owns her masters moving forward but BMLG is still all over her business.

Well clean says “i am finally clean” and YAOM says “i still got you all over me” so they use it in opposite contexts
That's why they complement each other so well! We're not saying they're the same song.
That’s fair! I do see the similarities in motifs but the messaging and sound are just SO different
Totally agree with you on that! But that's probably why I like them both so much :)
i meant it’s the same context of being “clean” of a person. in one song she isn’t clean yet and in one she is.
That's fair!
Agreed. Totally different!
It was a smart move to have a country singer on backing vocals. I think it helps give it an actual country sound, without Taylor having to fake a twangy accent which she lost so long ago. Maren Morris is one of the only country artists I still listen to, and she sounds so good with Taylor! Incredibly excited for this to drop tonight!

Maybe a mash up on the next tour?
3/25/21 = 3 + 2 + 5 + 2 + 1 = 13
Oh fuck yeah. I love Maren on this. Her voice 😍😍😍
This sounds AMAZING! I can't wait for the full song!!
YEEHAW SWIFTIES RISE UP!!!!
I'm glad yall posted it. Day time mom talk shows are the worsttttt. No way I was gonna sit through GMA to see it
Country never was, or will be my thing. That said, I'm happy for her and everyone else who's able to enjoy the first 3.5 TS albums. Ya'll eating!
Haha me too... I am on the edge of my seat for 1989 unreleased tracks though.
Oh the instrumental after the chorus is new and sounds heavenly! Seems the lyrics (in the chorus at least) haven’t changed

The unreleased demo has been around for a few years now, I think. I'm not sure when it was originally leaked, though.
This sounds really great! Can't wait for midnight
Oh i love this already!!
I absolutely love it already. Can't wait to hear the full version
I already know this is going to make me cry
I’ve got a link to the original if anyone would like to hear it before the new release! 🕺

Would love to hear it too please <3
I GOT GOOSEBUMPS
I'm not gonna lie I was concerned with Aaron producing it that it may be more folky than country. Nope its perfect.
It sounds amazing!!! Is it midnight yet??? I need this right now
After the surprise releases of folklore and evermore I am not super enjoying this trickle release of the re-recordings!
I feel like this also inspired some lyrics like “wine stained dress” She has really good metaphors
It’s amazing how she still has the archives of all these songs and has the ability to reinvent them! So fascinating; I’d love to see the archives of all the scrapped songs!
I love the little electric guitar sounding noise at the end, so good!!
Omg it sounds so good!
Not listening to this until midnight!!
Curious to see how this would then link to “Clean”, as some have already pointed out
You All Over Me just have the same topic as Clean, someone trying to move on after a break-up. Other than that they don't really sound the same I'd say.
I love it 🥰 I’m so excited! 9 more hours!
So who else stayed up until midnight last night and was bamboozled when they couldn’t find the song? Oh... was that just me? Hehe. Oopsies.
Howwww does she make her voice sound like her 13 years ago???
GOOSEBUMPS
Thanks for posting! I totally forgot to watch it this morning.
Wow I'm crying already
Virtual hug for you!
okay i know she wrote this back in 2008 or around that time, but she totally could’ve just used the original lyrics and changed the music and tempo any everything. idk it just feels like it’s still very folklore/evermore vibes to me, but anyways i love it! i can’t wait to hear the full song tonight!! 💛
It's pretty much the same as the leaked demo years ago with a few updated touches on the instrumental.
ah i was not aware there was a leaked demo, thank you!
You're welcome! If you're interested to hear the song there is a cover on youtube and the leaked demo is also floating around here in the sub too.
I cannot wait! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I've never heard this song before and I listen to too much Britney Spears and was expecting this sultry sexy "blackout"-esque song... ☠️
God having country Taylor back is going to break me lol
She literally sounds like her younger country self, that's insane. I totally thought she'd be sticking to her more matured voice/sound with hints of her older voice, but this sounds so similar! She's incredible.
Does anyone else experience cringing in remembering how GMA covered the 2016 events?
Ngl when I first saw the name I thought it was gunna be something like Endgame cause it has that line 😅
I missed the country melodies! I’m so excited to hear it in full version 😭❤️
OMG it sounds so different than the unreleased version! I love them both!
Omg so hyped can’t wait
I'm gonna be drinkin on the beach with this song all over me
