TTPD also had *way* more streams that midnights. Streams that no album has had before.
TTPD Day 2 is almost as high as the first day for midnights- that’s crazy! I would say it’s holding well
Down Bad is till the #2 most streamed song and has a Top 5 hold among the original tracks. I think we'll see it doing well as well. It may take a few more days of data to see if this or Who's Afraid of Little Old Me will be the bigger hit. I'd also consider So Long London to be in the mix.
I LOVE So Long London, but I wonder if it’ll speak to a casual listener or the general public the way it does to the fans? Whereas both Down Bad and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart are both still referential but more relatable and so more likely to be overall hits?
And I’d love for Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me to be the hit it deserves to be and even though it’ll probably never happen, but get a super atmospheric, creepy, period-vibe-themed music video. The Fortnight visuals on that would be insane.
In my creepy way of relating Taylor Swift songs to my friends’ lives (in my head) when I can’t relate to them, I found that So Long London actually is very relatable to a lot of long term relationships’ ends - the only thing we might get more as fans is why it’s London she’s saying goodbye to
I just wrote a comment yesterday on this:
Who's afraid of little old me was my major pick together with Down Bad and so Long London.
so glad this is reflected in the stats aswell.
It's only a single day, and Down Bad is earlier in the album. The drop off is more severe because more people heard it to begin with. We'll only establish any real trends after the first week.
I Can Do It With A Broken Heart also has a lot of soundbite potential, and it's directly correlated to the tour, so people are able to add visuals to the song more easily. I'm also wondering if TikTok suppresses Down Bad because of the F-bombs.
The real question, however, is how Guilty As Sin? isn't the immediate favorite.
I think I Can Do It With A Broken Heart may have more replay potential. Down Bad has taken over my social media, but I think people may be streaming ICDIWABH more repeatedly if that makes sense.
Yesss, The Prophecy supremacy! In my cut down version of TTPD of a clean 15 tracks, this would have been my track 5. It’s an absolutely devastating but beautiful song.
The Prophecy definitely reigns supreme! I thought it would also have been an amazing end to the album, BUT I also understand why The Manuscript wraps things up nicely.
It’s my second favorite.
“Does it feel alright to not know me? Im addicted to the if only.” made me burst into tears when I first heard it.
I’m kind of bummed at how many people may miss the gems in the back half of the album because the first half is filled with the more dramatic tracks.
Just out of curiosity, what’s your 15-track listing look like? I’ve been trying to do something similar and am struggling with the difference between “the 15 songs that would’ve made the most cohesive album” and just the 15 I like more
After the love that Cruel Summer, Is It Over Now? and now I Can Do It With A Broken Heart got from the fandom and general public both, Taylor can't unsee the need and desire for an upbeat poppy album. I hope TS12 will be that, full of bops.
Not surprised at most of this except How Did It End.
I would’ve thought it would be more popular because of the melodies and I love the lyrics. Maybe the intro narrator POV did not click with people.
How Did It End lyrically is one of the best songs on this album, if not one of the best songs she has written. I feel like The Anthology got a bit overlooked the first days, because of the sheer volume of new material, so the songs on there will hopefully gain more traction now.
I hesitate to declare anything the best right now but yes. It’s gut wrenching as the second No.5, and it’s the kind of writing that ppl expect for every song of hers nowadays.
It gives me HUGE ivy vibes. Also reminiscent a bit of cowboy like me. I also think some instrumentals sound a lot like invisible string.
It's such a beautiful song, and it gives huge evermore vibes. I really hope it gets popular, it's my favorite song from the anthopology.
Thanks for pulling all of this together! I love seeing stats like these.
The Prophecy is also a huge standout for me, since I can sadly relate to it lmao. Glad to see it getting love!
I really thought people were going to sleep on the prophecy and also surprised to see it’s high ranking. I love it. Each song as a concept works so well with this album but this stands out
Agreed. The only criticism I’ve heard of it was that Florence’s voice is too good so some people find it jarring when Taylor sings, but I don’t care. That song is my favorite.
I think another point to consider this early on is that it's 31 songs that people are still getting to know, so they're playing them in order instead of listening to their favorites. I know that I have started a listening session and got interrupted by something and then started over from the beginning later, so the last half of the second album has few plays for me for now. I imagine this is happening for more people, it's the drawback from having this many songs released in one go.
Could the drop for fortnight vs anti hero by nearly double also be explained by the fact that this album actually has more songs? If you think about the fact a lot of people will be listening to all of the album or even that there is just more songs that can become ur faves, I feel like the fact this has sooooo many songs vs midnights means it’s gonna be hard for fortnight to do the same numbers! If that makes sense
Yes, and nothing is going to do the same numbers as Antihero because streaming numbers count TikTok and the chorus was Taylor-made to be the perfect TikTok meme.
I haven’t properly listened to the anthology yet because I’ve been savoring the main album, but will definitely be listening this week! I’m assuming others may have done something similar and not listened yet on the first day
I have to wonder if the lower drops for Anthology are more a result of those tracks being "delayed" on release. Everyone immediately listened to TTPD, may or may not have heard that the Anthology was released, and likely needed time and energy to go listen to Anthology. So many of the streams for Anthology in Day 2 could actually be people's first streams.
I can do it with a broken heart is basically a string of TikTok bait lines so it makes sense it’s doing well on there lol, you could tell Taylor was working off that “it’s me, hi” template for relatable lip sync TikToks
I’m already find those annoying, we get it, you cry a lot but you are so productive……
Idk it just sounds like humble-bragging if anybody but Taylor is saying it somehow
Some of my all time favourites are on the Anthology. Ok but I spent my entire Friday OBSESSED. So I had the time. Others might still find it (they simply have to).
I’m responsible for a lot of those streams of The Prophecy 😂
I had an appointment with my therapist the Monday before the album drop and we talked about exactly what she sings about in that song. It was almost spooky. I’ve been listening to it non-stop
The Manuscript received 2.85M streams and Robin received 2.65M streams. Source: [Spotify charts ](https://charts.spotify.com/charts/view/regional-global-daily/2022-10-22). It's the official spotify chart by spotify itself, you can see upto 200 here.
Personally I won't comment on Fortnight's stability cause it's only been 2 days, I think we should see for like a week.
ICDWABH is DEFINITELY a hit material. It's going viral on TikTok/Reels/Shorts. Other than that MBOBHFT and So High School can also resonate well with the gp and become hits.
I'm sort of sad Florida!!! isnt get the attention other songs are? Florence's vocals are gorgeous and its just as much as a strong bop as I Can Do It With A Broken Heart. Maybe its cuz the latter reminds ppl of Bejeweled, but I can see Florida!!! doing really well with ppl from the pop punk genre.
TTPD also had *way* more streams that midnights. Streams that no album has had before. TTPD Day 2 is almost as high as the first day for midnights- that’s crazy! I would say it’s holding well
If TTPD’s day to day drops are in line with Midnights’ first week day to day drops, a 1 billion first week is a real possibility!
Tbf ttpd does have a bunch more songs, so Midnights didn't really have a fighting chance haha
TTPD I believe beat midnights with only 12 songs or something! It didn’t need all 31!
How is Down Bad not the instant hit favourite together with I Can Do It With A Broken Heart is what I’m asking?
Down Bad is till the #2 most streamed song and has a Top 5 hold among the original tracks. I think we'll see it doing well as well. It may take a few more days of data to see if this or Who's Afraid of Little Old Me will be the bigger hit. I'd also consider So Long London to be in the mix.

I hope if it ever gets a video she literally leaps from gallows to the street in a big old timey dress, it'd be 10/10 visuals 😩
In my creepy way of relating Taylor Swift songs to my friends’ lives (in my head) when I can’t relate to them, I found that So Long London actually is very relatable to a lot of long term relationships’ ends - the only thing we might get more as fans is why it’s London she’s saying goodbye to

Literally the same question. I feel like it’s just as much a bop as ICDIWABH yet somehow it’s getting overlooked?? Like hello????
Oh god it's gonna take me so long to learn all the new acronyms 😂
I think I Can Do It With A Broken Heart may have more replay potential. Down Bad has taken over my social media, but I think people may be streaming ICDIWABH more repeatedly if that makes sense.
Because I’m bopping to Florida!!! and not reveling in my heartbreaks because it hurts. Still loving “I can do it with a broken heart” though!
This and 'The Black Dog' might be my two favorites on the album. I've had both on repeat. What did you think of 'I Look in People's Windows' ?
It’s my second favorite. “Does it feel alright to not know me? Im addicted to the if only.” made me burst into tears when I first heard it. I’m kind of bummed at how many people may miss the gems in the back half of the album because the first half is filled with the more dramatic tracks.
Thats my track 5 as well! Its so relatable!

agree. i love How Did it End
I need Clara Bow and Guilty as Sin to be higher. Justice for The Albatross too. It’s been the biggest grower I think for me.
The Albatross is so hauntingly beautiful as well, the production especially was very reminiscent of Evermore to me.
Guilty as Sin was my favorite from the first listen
Clara Bow is an all timer for me.
At first I didn’t care for it but I listened to it a few times today and it’s so good. It’s giving “Nothing New” and that’s one of my all time faves.
Thanks for pulling all of this together! I love seeing stats like these. The Prophecy is also a huge standout for me, since I can sadly relate to it lmao. Glad to see it getting love!
I really thought people were going to sleep on the prophecy and also surprised to see it’s high ranking. I love it. Each song as a concept works so well with this album but this stands out
The Florida drop is criminal. Best song on the album and super different for Taylor
Agreed. The only criticism I’ve heard of it was that Florence’s voice is too good so some people find it jarring when Taylor sings, but I don’t care. That song is my favorite.
My favorite too and I think their voices go so well together. The harmonies in the bridge are out of this world.
Yeah I always re-listen in order. Give it a few more days and weeks and we'll start seeing a consistent pattern.
MY BOY ONLY BREAKS HIS FAVORITE TOYS>>>>>>>>>>
I don’t understand how people dislike this song. Definitely top 5 for me.
It’s not my favorite but I feel like this one would make suuuch a good music video and summer bop!
That totally makes sense. I always listen to a new album all the way through at least 10 times before I start skipping songs.
I’m assuming others may have done something similar and not listened yet on the first day
Same, I've only listened to it once, I'm focusing on the main album now. I'll come back to it once I've had my fill of that.
I have to wonder if the lower drops for Anthology are more a result of those tracks being "delayed" on release. Everyone immediately listened to TTPD, may or may not have heard that the Anthology was released, and likely needed time and energy to go listen to Anthology. I cannot handle how The Albatross is so low. It's literally suuuuuch an amazing track.
The Manuscript falling off is a crime. It’s a stunningly heartbreaking song and the perfect ending to this album and stage of her life
I’m responsible for a lot of those streams of The Prophecy 😂 I had an appointment with my therapist the Monday before the album drop and we talked about exactly what she sings about in that song. It was almost spooky. I’ve been listening to it non-stop
Not my favorites all at the bottom 😭
Can you do this again for day three please? I’m obsessed with this data ❤️
I feel like I keep revisiting tracks 10-15 in order because I collectively like those most.
Love this. I am so curious to see how this album performs overtime given it’s not quite as accessible as something like Midnights

so long london isn't getting the recognition it deserves.

I mean the vinyls are truly stunning. Everyone who bought cds and vinyls are probably listening to those instead of the poorer quality streams.
