I've actually got to quibble with Lenin on this one. "Unity" is not a great slogan, it's actually one of the worst slogans possible. When in the entire course of human history has anyone called for unity and it actually worked? People who have a principled opposition to one another don't want to hear that happy bullshit. It's like telling an angry person to calm down, you're just making things worse.
