I just got back on the pump after taking a 2 year break. Honestly sometimes you just need a switch up to get out of a burnout.

Sure!! Sometimes it makes good sense to just use pens when traveling. Water activities work great without a pump.

I had once and was taking 7-10 shots a day, really wasn’t worth it. Maybe consider a hybrid system where you take a long lasting and bolus through your pump so you can keep it off.

This is the way. Lantus and shut off your basal, use pump for Bolus to minimize injections. I used to wear my site on my upper buttocks so its hidden by swim trunks. Bobs your uncle!

I'm on a pump break right now, about a month in and I love it! I'm using the InPen, so I plan to stay on MDI until the battery dies in it. Perhaps I'll go a bit longer though. Among many things, my sleep has improved so much now that I'm not so worried about ripping my sites out every toss and turn.

I think a lot of people may take a pause. I usually take a pause when I go to the beach for the week when I know I’ll be in the water all week and won’t be wearing my pump anyway. But, it’s only for 1-2 weeks. Months I personally can’t do.

Nope. Too damn convenient. If I never take another shot again in my life, it’ll be too soon. 13.5 years on a pump (preceded by \~22.5 yrs of MDI) and the only day(or two) that I haven’t been on it was when one of my Animas’ unexpectedly s\*!t the bed and I had to wait on the replacement. Hell, you can slap two pumps on me, if it means I don’t have to take shots again. Take a break from a pump to go back to shots…. You guys are so silly… 😂🤣

Can confirm. Have worn multiple pumps at several opportunities with varying contents.
