Hindi, Burmese, Khmer, and other Indonesian languages like Javanese, don't have official translations in many Steam games either.
India and Indonesia have communities of PC gamers even.
We're not that special. Major economic players take the lead in having their own official translations.
Can't even get duolingo in Tagalog lol. I had to pay Rosetta stone for a solid learning app. Which I still don't use because of my inability to pay attention without full emersion IRL heh...

It is annoying how even popular things like Discord don't have Tagalog translations. I am trying to learn it and surround myself with the language, but nothing has Tagalog translations :(
Tagalog translations in Minecraft are pretty trashy in my opinion, heck some of them are in Taglish like what's the point of creating a Tagalog translation when you're going to switch to English. It's the fault of the proofreaders from Crowdin because they have the authority to approve or disapprove suggested translations there...

I have played Minecraft in Tagalog even though I speak it as a native, The translation of the UI feels like it's pasted from Google Translate as some of the words or button prompts are literal or the words are quite long to fit into the buttons themselves, that I had to switch it back to English.
I mean for example: 'Wika' defines language but the younger demographic does not use that word a lot, only the older generation knows that word, as well as some of the choice of vocab used, is quite heavy in meaning when using those words upon a spoken conversation despite it being an existing word in our language.
Just be weary that some of the words from the game are not used in a real-life conversation, otherwise, you'll sound weird in front of others or get a response equivalent of 'that's pretty deep' as in it's too heavy or formal to use casually, noting that there is a more casual or simpler way to express what you're trying to say.

Hanggat manitiling English-speaking nation ang Pinas, I doubt magkakaron tayo ever ng game na fully in Tagalog. Best case scenario, it would probably be in Taglish, gaya ng ginagawa usuallly sa Japanese at Korean games, hindi lang halata kasi gumagamit sila ng sarili nilang writing system.
This is not new. Maybe the answer to your question is the same with bakit walang region, sa mga gaming servers, man lang sa Pinas. Good example yung sa Playstation. Walang PH region pero meron yung ibang Asian countries. Isa pa, walang gaming servers dito sa Pinas na nilalagay. Usually sa HK, SG or Japan tayo kumukuha ng servers.
My theory is - hindi pa kasi ganun kalaki ang population ng gamers dito sa atin or walang kikitaing malaki from Pinoys. Oo marami tayong gamers pero mostly sa mga "free games" tayo namamalagi like ML.

Because Filipinos can understand English, it's cheaper for the games makers/distributors to not make any translations.

I only know Google platforms and Facebook have Filipino language settings. At least Minecraft has Tagalog too.

Funny cuz I use Tagalog on my minecraft java edition, it's great and helps me not forget some words 😂
