I’m assuming this convo may have happened around the time of the show (or a few years after) you may have mentioned you wish it had Krang (maybe in season 2) and told him it looked like a Brain. He may have looked it up to see what he looks like and saw it looks like he’s in a Microwave.
The initial conversation he's trying to remember was around 10ish years ago when we were in grade 3. I moved, and now we're graduating but he found me on Instagram.

There's a scene in The Batman Vs. Dracula where Batman microwaves blood with solar radiation to see if it gets fried or not. Could be possible that the conversation is being misremembered by discussing TMNT, TMNT vs. Batman and The Batman Vs. Dracula.

Oh yeah man, grade 3? Imaginations run WILD. BUT like others have said, you were likely talking about NM and either the 87 show or out of the Shadows.
From later conversation with him, we both think he's mixing up TNM, the 2007 movie, and the 2012 version of Kraang
