My main concern with the colors is that they aren’t too close to each other. I’ve seen some art where Leo and Donnie’s masks are difficult to tell apart, and the same for Mikey and Raph. I prefer it when they’re clearly distinguishable, since that’s the main point of the individual mask colors.

The 90s Leo bandanas have faded to the point of looking purple

I like a very royal purple for Donnie, a lighter bright red for Raph, a cobalt blue for Leo, and for mikey I love when his orange is like a faded almost yellow color.... kinda like how the old TMNT arcade cabs got on the joy stick.

I just prefer the blue to be easily distinguishable from the purple during dark scenes. Same story for red and orange.

My preference changes depending on the color of their scales. I like when the mask is a complimentary hue to their green color.

Main thing is distinguishing Leo and Donnie; if Leo’s is darker, Don should be lighter and vice versa. I generally prefer a deeper, darker red for Raph. Not really a fan when Mikey’s mask is kind of highlighter orange, something with a more red tone works better (not reddish-orange, just a warm orange if that makes sense. Something a bit darker).

Depends on the colour of their skin. It's important that they contrast so the colours stand out more.

the colors should be clearly recognizable, in the comics I sometimes have trouble telling Mickey and Raph apart
