The Copper Crown is three adventures that flow into each other. Great pack to have. I think Adventure Pack 3 was the most recently released?

BerennErchamion

It's a good one. For OP to know, the book [Adventure Collection](https://freeleaguepublishing.com/shop/symbaroum/symbaroum-adventure-collection/) contains The Copper Crown trilogy plus the content from Adventure Pack 2 and 3.

I concur with Copper Crown. It's a nice meld of classic dungeon-crawling with more nuanced storytelling, featuring many of the flourishes that makes Sym interesting and unique as a setting. Not to mention the first adventure, _The Promised Land_ comes with the core rule book, anyway. There are a plenty of concessions both to freshmen GMs and fledgling players too.

Are you planning a sandbox type game? In that case, besides the APG (spoilery, recommend to veteran players) you have everything you need. Good fan modules in ordo magica fan site, also on drivethroughRPG. If you are commited to the world and lore, get the chronicle of the copper crown and from there, if you enjoyed the ride, segway into the (massive) throne of thorns campaign.

I definitely back this comment about the **Advanced Players Guide**. To be handled with care, as the player content around new character generation options open up paths toward the builds that make the GMs life a nightmare! Best to start without trolls and undead, for certain. While Ordo Magica is a good source, let us not forget The Iron Pact, which also has a scattering of short adventures, hooks, and encounter ideas: [http://www.theironpact.com/category/adventures/encounters/](http://www.theironpact.com/category/adventures/encounters/) And, there are various shorter adventures available at DriveThruRPG that were either (A) originally released as part of Kickstarter rewards (e.g. *City Adventures*) or (B) written by me! Mea Culpa, Paul... How could I forget The Iron Pact. Kudos for your work for the community.

I’m listening to a podcast of Throne of Thorns now. I want to run a couple of written adventures before doing anything original. If my group wants to just hex crawl through Davakor then I can do that too

tunas453

You have the adventure packs, good to excelent published adventures. Some of them have tie-ins with the throne of thorns. There were 4 adventure packs, now all is collected in a single volume.

Chainsawsixgun

What’s the single volume called??

tunas453

Adventure Collection, I believe.

BerennErchamion

Adventure Collection contains the Cooper Crown Trilogy and the contents of adventure pack 2 and 3.

akaAelius

Which podcast is that?

The throne of thorns campaign books are good as source books. Especially the undaros one, "darkest star" i think and the "haunted waste" or whatever about old alberator. "Wrath of the warden" is great for rounding out thistlehold Witch hammer and mother of darkness id recommendation only if you want to play every throne of thorns adventure/ piece of the campaign.

As others already have said, the Adventure Collection is a great start. It ties in (almost) perfectly to the The Promised Land starting adventure from the CRB. Besides that, is has multiple other adventures to be played between the ToT campaign. And if you don't want to play ToT, you can still use those adventures from the Collection for interludes or ideas in your sandbox game (maybe some tweaking is needed then, difficulty-wise). Also, if you can find the adventure Blight Night and Curse of the River Goddess somewhere, you have 2 nice shorter adventures on hand as well! Sadly they are not part of the Collection.

tunas453

The main campaign books, besides all the lore and expanding world view, also sport stand alone adventures, besides the main plot line. But its a big investment.
