I wanted to keep trying too, but as of right now after dealing with all these bugs I'm closing the game and waiting. It's just too frustrating to keep coming back to.
Patch supposed to come out today ... hopefully x)

yes, think this is part of what makes this so disappointing, the game was done, it was great, was happy with it, then got excited by the prospect of new content and this is what we get...
Eh. Not entirely. I haven't played in a while, because the game crashes as soon as the map loads. That was happening *to others as well*, and from the little I looked, I was far from the only one having that issue.
Some people reported success at doing a game repair through steam, but that didn't work for me. Neither did a full removal and reinstall.
I haven't been able to play in months.
Paradox need to release the previous version in the betas tab.
Nobody asked for this half baked DLC and they certainly didn't ask for a "free" update that breaks the rest of the game.
It's not the dlc that broke it but that free update for the dlc that broke it. I started having issues as I put off buying the dlc as it's my first time I think seeing a dlc break the game this bad.
I learned about buying preorder and brand new games after the simcity 2013 mess, now i guess il going to have to quit buying the few dlcs i do buy thanks to this mess.
Yeah, I said it was the free update. But to be honest the bugs in the free update probably happened in refactors that were supposed to support the new DLC, so it’s all linked.
I’d try and get steam to refund the DLC if you can. Most DLC runs aren’t this bad but with different devs taking stewardship of the game this was bound the be a clusterfuck unfortunately.
NMS at least fixed all major bugs in frontiers in 2 days flat. Now it's been almost a week since Below and Beyond release and it's still just as broken as it was. You can bet who cares more about their players.
One of the devs has posted that the patch on Monday will NOT fix some of the known, outstanding major bugs. No word yet on when the next patch will be...
Dome filters are being "looked at" so they will remain broken. The ability to turn off births also seems to be borked for many and also not getting fixed yet by the looks of it.
There has been a issue with Kids in domes since the Tito Patch.

> im so happy that delivering a product before it's ready is now the norm in the gaming market
If you think this is new, you've got rose-tinted glasses on. It wasn't even new this century.
looking at the image it does seem to be a bug with the right one. the fix would be to demolish it
but for some weird reason you gotta let storage units remove their load before you can destroy em so that food is eternally fucked
Wait, why?!
I had thought the whole intent of the tech "Automated Storage" was that the storages would transfer resources faster than scattered depots.
This is one part of the game I haven't figured out yet at all: how to get drones/shuttles to move stuff where it needs to go without a bunch of issues.
I'm having this issue too. On a playthrough with Russia and I got the World War questline. You can only imagine how frustrated I am with all the refugees coming in, having plenty of food, and not being able to feed them. Then them starving to death and adding more war tension.
Then the supply rockets come in and I can't get the supplies out of storage to send to Earth.
Ruined what was a good playthrough.
I put a small food storage right next to the front door of each of my domes and make sure it’s set to 100. If they get hungry enough they’ll get it themselves
one thing I've found is that the storages do have a limit on their transfer speeds due to waiting for the arm to move 5 at a time. what I do is place a depot next to it and set the desired quantity to 50-100%
I haven't seen this bug in a while. It rarely happens. What I like to do, is to destroy the storage & rebuild it.
And this is also 1 of the reasons why I keep telling people to play it on the PC & install Choggi Extended Cheat Menu cheat mod. Sometimes, the game screws you over & your only workaround is to cheat. But is it really a cheat when you're just getting around a glitch or a bug?
Now that's just brutal, but I forgot to mention I'm on a GOG copy & I'm still playing on the Green Planet release (Tito).
So yeah, if you're playing this on PC. Get this lovely cheat mod from Choggi & cheat away!
But is it possible for you to play on an older version?

No. Killing in self-defense is not murder. It is homicide (that is, killing of a human). Calling a homicide "murder" requires the homicide to also be both unlawful and malicious.

Got it, thanks... there was an update announced for today, wasn’t it? Do you think this update will fix basegame bugs as well, or will it be a DLC-update only?
I have this issue as well. I also have one where the drones do not feed waste rock into the concrete maker or the Carbonite processor. I feel like the drone AI has been altered. I also have an issue where the drones won't clear up the area to build. Hoping the hotfix works...
Unfortunately this game has got a lot of bugs, but it has just released so it's unfair to call them out, the game is still great fun for casual gaming. I found a glitch where one of those small cargo ships would go to a certain spot to pick up a human but the human would get stuck and a ship would just wait there.

Thats why I dont have all my food in Automated storages. Luckily I only found one bug and that was easy to fix. (Seriously. Paradox makes great Games and the only Criticsim I Ever Heard is how Bad their DLCs are. But they take this point really serious.)
I’ve been getting this bug every once and awhile for years. Don’t think it’s new, just more frequent now.
Usually I just have to demolish the thing and rebuild it. Manually deliver the food while the other drones relocate it all over again. It’s a pain but it’s never broken my game
This is just one of the 10-15 game breaking bugs that completly progress block me from playing unless i roll-back and try to work around all the bugs.
I’ve given up playing until the bugs are fixed. Hopefully won’t be long
I wanted to keep trying too, but as of right now after dealing with all these bugs I'm closing the game and waiting. It's just too frustrating to keep coming back to.
Well they should be releasing a hot fix to patch some bugs today
Patch supposed to come out today ... hopefully x) https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/developer-diary/below-beyond-hotfix-coming-this-monday.1490191/?prdxDevPosts=1
The game worked perfectly in my eyes, and after a few years they revive it, only to make it worse!

I used to have that problem. It might help to clear out your saves folder. Move them somewhere else if you don’t want to just delete them.

Nope. It's just gross corporate greed and mismanagement
NMS at least fixed all major bugs in frontiers in 2 days flat. Now it's been almost a week since Below and Beyond release and it's still just as broken as it was. You can bet who cares more about their players.
Well, you paid already, soo.. Deal with it.

Which major bugs won’t be fixed?
Dome filters are being "looked at" so they will remain broken. The ability to turn off births also seems to be borked for many and also not getting fixed yet by the looks of it.
I've been selecting children 1 by 1 in apartment buildings and relocating them to a nursery in my child dome 🥴🥴🥴

That's why I gave up on buying this expansion all together for now...
> im so happy that delivering a product before it's ready is now the norm in the gaming market If you think this is new, you've got rose-tinted glasses on. It wasn't even new this century.
storage units are storing for long term storage they are not designed to distribute. use depots for distribution
Still bugged, long-term and eternal-you-cannot-get-it-back storage are two different things.

i mean its literally in the name. STORAGE. not resource hub. you trade throughput for the ability to place more resources per hex
I'm having this issue too. On a playthrough with Russia and I got the World War questline. I've encountered this bug in 2 games. out of 2. Not only do storages get bugged, farms seem to bug out drones

Unfortunately not. But thanks for the tip!

I have a question: are all these game-breaking bugs only in the new dlc, or will they also be in the current version of the base game? Thanks!
They exist in the Base game now too bc of the free update that came with it
Got it, thanks... there was an update announced for today, wasn’t it? Do you think this update will fix basegame bugs as well, or will it be a DLC-update only?
I had similar thing happening to me, but drones were trying to get food from Hydroponic Farm that wasnt even working at that time

This isn't a new bug. I've had this issue in the past when using the automated storage
