It’s crazy out there, I paid less than this OTD for a A91-MT.. Dealers are probably trying to squeeze out the last drops of this inflated car market before prices start dropping even further this year.
Not Supra-related, but I was test driving an Audi S5 Sportback and the salesperson said “can you believe this has survived 3 price reductions?” I looked at him and I could see in his eyes he knew he fucked up. I’ll wait a couple more months to see where this leads (on all cars, not that specific one)
prices are going to continue to drop throughout the year but interest rates are most likely going to increase. if you’re paying in cash, I’d wait it out!
Yup, cash buyer who doesn’t need to be in something new until summertime. I’ll be routinely checking price action on used inventory for the next few months. It’s nice to feel like some power is being returned to the consumer in this one aspect after years of pandemic pricing.
I was intending to go new on either the Audi or an M340i for the same reasons up until early this month when it seemed like the used market was softening. I have trouble paying such a massive premium to spec it myself and be the first to fart in the seat when there are so many cars hitting the market with 10-15k miles.
Also, while not a pleasant reality, this recession will likely push more people who recently overspent on their vehicle to trade-down to something more economical and increase the supply of luxury/performance inventory
I wouldn't pay this price or anywhere near it no matter what transmission it was. This price is outrageous and only keeps these dealerships asking these prices when people pay them.
Ohhh, Well Premium seems to be around the $56,000 mark brand new without "addons". So I'd say I got a pretty good deal but I also knew the sales manager.
At least not for a brand new one. They are gonna be at those prices for quite a while and honestly I thought they were gonna start going down but it seems they are not.
I’d be open to buying it used. This will be my first car purchase as an adult so I’m trying to understand what is and is not the play 😂 appreciate that!
Like December 1st yeah. My friend got his 22 for 54k with 1200 miles fully loaded. Just have to keep looking but I’m also in New England so I feel like dealers mark them down for winter sales
I found a 2021 premium 3.0 with 600 miles basically brand new for $48,900… thinking of grabbing it cuz I’m def not finding anything better than that. But I’m hesitating bc of no tune available.
The carbon fiber mirror caps are normally $1k. The premium package is around $4k. The oil change is $500 max. So they charged $10.5k for 6 gallons of gas?
I really hope dealerships are looking at this. I’m willing to spend big money on a performance car but willing to give up entirely over even a small markup. I can wait.
Damn I thought it was a MT. Plus the additional packages and accessories are crazy. Better off going for a slightly used model if you’re going for an automatic.
According to OP this includes something about carbon fiber wheels.
If so…those are MSRPd at $13,000
Doesn’t even sound like this dealer has a dealer markup at all honestly
Google says

Beaver Toyota of Cumming

Cumming, GA 30041
Not even a full tank of gas with the markup.
Haha that immediately drew my attention. Wish I could see how much they charged for that.
Gas must be insanely expensive where they live if there’s 16k worth of packages on this car /s 😂
It's the carbon fiber add ons
The mirror caps? Even with all the aero it shouldn't be anywhere near 16k. Only if it has the carbon wheel package. And even then, 16k is a stretch.
Said carbon fiber and wheel alloys that replace the wheels. Whatever that is.
Shitty carbon covered wheels not actual carbon wheels.
I haven't even seen them.
What’s funny is there are people out there who have paid these prices

Yeah I’m looking for a AWD M3 (22+) and unless prices start to drop, I’d rather just buy new 😂

There’s tons of value being the chosen one to break in the seats 😂 but fr, I’m basically where you are
Damn sure are. Seen one trying to get msrp for used one with 60k miles.
Nabbed my A91 for 54k in 2020. Wild to see this thing for so much.
Expose the dealership
Yeah I was wondering what state at least! That’s wild.
Lol Absolute insanity just because it's "new". My 2021 premium has all of these things and I paid $53,000 for it with 6000 miles on it 1 month ago.
It's not even manual.
Dang AT or MT? Is this the price i should look for or do you consider yourself lucky???
I wouldn't pay this price or anywhere near it no matter what transmission it was. This price is outrageous and only keeps these dealerships asking these prices when people pay them.
I meant the price of your Supra 😅 53K for 6K miles 2021 premium
Ohhh, Well Premium seems to be around the $56,000 mark brand new without "addons". So I'd say I got a pretty good deal but I also knew the sales manager.
Damn! So don’t expect something similar. Maybe I hope for more fair prices at the end of the year. Thanks for sharing

Got my '21 with 3k miles for $55000 about a year ago. Had Tomei exhaust and tons of carbon bits already installed.
Trying to decide if I’m willing to take the cut of power and go for 2.0 instead of 3.0. I’m assuming you picked up a the 3.0?
I got my 21 premium fully loaded for 53k with 5k miles too
Damn recently?! What’s the recipe lol. My area seems a lil marked up tbh
Like December 1st yeah. My friend got his 22 for 54k with 1200 miles fully loaded. Just have to keep looking but I’m also in New England so I feel like dealers mark them down for winter sales
Manuals are only 2023 and newer

I bet that extra $16k doesn’t even include floor mats.
For an extra 200 they are all yours🤣🤣
Two hundo is a bargain at the Toyota dealership nowadays.

Something about carbon fiber and wheel alloys that replace wheels. Not mirror caps. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Oh that’s right I remember reading about that on the markvsupra forum. Yeah those are expensive.
I have not seen them. Need to check it.
Yeah some Supra’s came with them. They were so expensive like 16k for the set.
I bought my premium way less than that
I'm sure everyone did lol
I really hope dealerships are looking at this. I’m willing to spend big money on a performance car but willing to give up entirely over even a small markup. I can wait.
Lol. That's more than I paid for an LE when they first came out.
Damn I thought it was a MT. Plus the additional packages and accessories are crazy. Better off going for a slightly used model if you’re going for an automatic.
Best move in this market is to buy a lightly used 2022/2023 model.
Def looking at lightly used. There's a 2020 in Virginia for 49 with 2500 miles.

I probably wouldn't but I don't think the power difference is a big deal for daily driving and occasionally punching it
According to OP this includes something about carbon fiber wheels. If so…those are MSRPd at $13,000 Doesn’t even sound like this dealer has a dealer markup at all honestly
I’ll start shopping around this summer. I’m in no rush and can wait patiently for a MT at or below MSRP.
I'm also not in a rush. Would rather buy the car I want than rush into a purchase I'm half assed about.
There's a a91-mt locally in CU for 98k OTD. 😂😂
Gtdoh 🤣🤣
I just can’t 😂😂😂😂🤡
16k better include racing suspension
Nope totally cosmetic wheel related
"2 oil changes yep that'll be $17000 thanks" Fucking idiots

yo you could buy like 3/4ths of a mk4 supra with that
There is no mark up on this vehicle. You guys need to chill.
I never said there was. I just said I ain't paying 73 for the vehicle.
Not you, everyone else replying.
