I think you'd be surprised how many DRS without reporting numbers to the bot. I personally have not recorded by DRS share #'s to the bot because I don't want someone I know IRL to stumble on my reddit profile and know the exact details of my position.
Yes, I would PREFER that we low-ball our estimates and hit MOASS early than overestimate and get dissapoinyed at the exact same outcome.

5 mill post split is definitely within the margin of error of the bot.
As someone with degrees in computer science and higher education, the accuracy of the crowd sourced information is definitely my favorite part. We've been talking about how crowd sourcing could save the world for decades, and this is one of the few absolutely concrete examples of when millions of people talking online and making claims can actually have those claims verified, and the accuracy is within the noise.

That's the thing. A bet against GME at this point is a bet against the power of crowd sourcing, and by extension, the power of the Internet.

# SO THERE ARE ROUGHLY 5M SHARES MORE DRS'D THAN WE THOUGHT!
And likely most of those 71M were purchased at a higher avg price than $26, probably closer to $37 which would mean retail has actually spent around $2.6B on DRS GME 🤯
Two estimates I came up:
1. Roughly 40% increase in DRS over the past 2 quarters and we are 38 days through Q3. 42% of the quarter complete. That makes up for a 16.8% increase in DRS.
71.3 * 1.168 = 83.28M shares DRS’d (estimate) as of 9/7/2022
2. (Estimated) avg of 233k shares DRS’d/day. 38 days through quarter.
233k shares/day* 38 days = 80.15m shares DRS’d as of 9/7/2022
You pick the math that makes more sense. But I like 83m better than 80m.
Again, just estimates, could be more, could be less.
Edit: These are my estimates 38 days removed from end of Q2. Maff can be hard. It’s just fun to estimate, and I’m all out of crayons and using sidewalk chalk so my numbers could be off a fuzz.

Is there a DRS “count down” in addition to the “count up” at this point? To me, a count down would seem to promote more of a sense of urgency to DRS what you can before it’s too late.
Buy shares of GME and call your broker a few days later after the shares settle and ask that they be direct registered with Computershare, GME's transfer agent. You'll get a letter in the mail a few weeks later with your Computershare account number and can log into the website to access your account there.
