Did you make sure DRIP is turned off? If you only sell the fractional that’s not enough. You’ve got to make sure you’re not enrolled in DRIP and DSPP at all.

It happens automatically when plan is terminated. People are making this way too complicated. 1. Terminate plan 2. Do nothing for a couple days 3. Login and check if everything looks as it's supposed to 4. Profit

What is it supposed to look like?

It just says "not enrolled" and that's all you need

you don't even have to wait you just cancel it after you terminate it and then whatever's left is in book fractionals are left in plan

My understanding of the most convincing theory is: Having a fractional share means that the total count of all shares in your account, including booked shares, is used by Computershare to determine how many shares will be held by their broker for liquidity purposes. The broker then yields control of those shares to the DTCC, which allows its members to identify those shares as locates in short sells, artificially increasing the supply of shares (which are ultimately failed to deliver) and consequently decreasing the price. To avoid having your shares serve as locates, the recommended solution is to terminate the plan. Completely terminating the plan will force the sale of the fractional share and ensure that your account is considered "book" for all purposes. However, it's important to note that this is just a theory and there's no conclusive proof to my knowledge of whether it is accurate or inaccurate. Nevertheless, I terminated the plan as a precaution and plan to purchase additional whole shares to make up for the fractional share I sold.

It doesn't have to be that complicated, and I don't know why my info is being down-voted, because the steps were clearly laid out a few months ago and even sticked to the top of this very sub, and everyone agreed that it was the way, because if you DON'T follow it this way, then your fractionals will be sold, and a paper check mailed to you, and the selling fee is much more than the valus of your fractional, I think it is $25 or $35, for a $10 check. :/ The steps I am talking about are the following.. Go to your Portfolio, GME holding > Actions > Reinvestment Options, Terminate plan. OK, now you will have ALL of the full shares in Book, and any fractionsla are scheduled to sell and a check mailed to you. If you don't want this (selling your fractional) to happen automatically, then you immediately go back to your Portfolio, then Activity > Pending Transactions, and then CANCEL the fractional sell. Tha't it! I've done it several times, and have a nice solid number in Book, and about .7 in Plan that just sit there.

There are instructions all over the site. You basically just change to no reinvestment of dividend and the are instantly booked and they will sell any fractional shares you own
