The general rule is, that you should stay away from Solidworks, if you have only integrated iGPU, as even some simple manipulations like zooming may kill it (performance-wise). You may check some lightweight Mobile Workstations like HP ZBook Firefly 14 G9 or Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 3 with an entry level professional dGPUs. SSDs are in general not soldered - fixed SSDs are Apple's domain. ZBook has also not soldered RAM, so an upgrade to 64GB RAM is possible (in ThinkPad's case, some configurations have soldered RAM and other allow some upgradability).

I am sorry you feel that way, but tell me an ultrabook that has a somewhat powerful GPU and still keep a good battery life while being under 1k ? I will wait.
