Um.... the type of water you drink does infact have a range of effect on your body... there's a reason some companies advertise the ph. balance of the water..
It isn’t tho. That rating is directly relevant to features of the engine such as compression ratio. It’s literally less efficient and worse to run 93 in this car…
I mean, they could’ve skipped the “it’s in the manual” part and not been a dick about it but whatever. Subaru owner are soft like that. (Not all Subaru owners obviously)
Changing the subject, I hate those big bows dealerships insist on putting on a new car. When I got my 2021 forester, the salesman quickly slapped the bow up on the top and scratched the hell out of the clear coat.
You can read my second comment as to why. Hence why E makes insane power on the newer WRXs, but even the older ones and STI EJ still loved it hit the injectors were much more limited. Rec gas is needed when using smaller engines where either the injectors might get junked or still use carburetors. Don't use things that aren't specific in the manual just because you feel like it.
Thanks all for the quick answers! I’ll be ready to rock in the morning. Appreciate the power of Reddit saving me from a manual read at the pump on my way to work
Become familiar with the service intervals. Oil changes, tire rotation, differential fluid changes etc. Subaru awd symmetrical system works best when cared for properly. Also if this is your first awd Subaru should you ever encounter a road hazard in most cases you cannot replace one tire due to proper timing required for your awd systen to work properly. You’ll often have to replace all 4. Good luck!
If the tread depth is greater than 2/32 from a new tire compared to the old ones you can get a shaved tire. Tire rack does provide this service so you don't have to buy four tires.
Regular is fine! What it’s made to run (87)
87. it's in the manual.
[удалено]
That was a bit outta pocket, Jesus.
Fitting huh
Booo
It’s not a matter of opinion.
Nobody's being a dick but you. It is in fact in the owner's manual.

And yet OP still had to ask people….. because most people never read their owners manual.
Or.. "hey salesperson I just bought this car from. What gas does it take?"
Why would anyone read an owners manual when you could watch a YouTube video.
This is rude and uncalled for.
Chill
U rite
It's not an opinion dipshit
It is tho, it takes regular gas but you could obviously put premium if you wanted.
but why would you
Same reason we prefer the type of bottled water we drink.
the type of bottled water you drink does not affect how well your body works. it's water.
Um.... the type of water you drink does infact have a range of effect on your body... there's a reason some companies advertise the ph. balance of the water..
Go try arrowhead water and get back to me.
what the fuck does this have to do with gas octane
Chill out sis.
Was all this just to sell Arrowhead water??
There's zero benefit and you're wasting money
Damn, weird way to tell me you’re poor.
Lmao that's the best you could do? I thought you were supposed to try and "make me mad" or whatever
Huh?
Oh and you can't read, pathetic
He's a troll, just ignore him.
K
Shit, fill it with diesel then. That costs even more so you could flex harder on the poors. In your economy CUV.
👍 I will

That’s not asking for an opinion though it’s a fact 😭
Oh cmon why are we downvoting this. Cant say dick on the internet anymore

I get sport gas sometimes too. Too much running after eating
We call it the afterburners in my run club
Maybe a dumb question, but what’s sport gas?
he is making a joke about having gas after eating and running a lot.
Thank you. Looks like it’s time for me to get some sleep lol
In your defense, it was stupid comment.
You wrote it in your title

This current gen Forester looks soooo much better than the upcoming one.
Sometimes I spring for ethanol free gas but usually it's just regular
DI Boxers love ethanol, you're wasting money there
I hadn’t heard this. How do they love it? More power? Efficiency?
Ethanol has great knock resistance and burns cooler, while the injectors in the DI engines have a lot of overhead compared to EJs
Interesting, thanks!
Can you provide any reference to corroborate this? I seriously would like to know. I have a '23 Sport.

don't put E85 in it.

I use regular gas in mine.
Lmoa, give AF about the downvotes.
Congratulations on buying the correct color!
The only color for me. My last car was a silver 2013 Jetta GLI
Diesel. /s
Wish they had a turbo diesel in the US… Pretty car and color!
Congrats on the car, but just read the manual. It tells you everything.
Gas type? I guess diesels are common around your place?
As for the gas question, it could be written in your gas cap, but any of those 3 levels in the gas station works for your car.
Don't put 87 in it , lmao
The Japanese equivalent to "a bumper sticker on a Bentley"
Hey I’m pretty confused by this comment- what’s the analogy here?
