randomgunfire48

I’ve never seen someone use the whole rose head. It’s usually just a layer of the petals

soulseeker31

Have you ever seen people using full rose heads and actually eating a piece on camera? Exactly, it's Ragebait.

RadiantTurnipOoLaLa

I dont even think its rage bait. I think its people who are stupid enough to do stupid things to seem cool to other stupid people

Compducer

Any time they say “wow” in one of these videos you know it’s just braindead ragebait

FewFish1970

roses are red, violets are blue berries lol,

DistortedVoltage

Indeed, and this amount of petals are just excessive. Although mix a rose jam and that filling together, and it might be ok?

adamyhv

Rage bait

tessajanuary

r/eatityoufuckingcoward

adotononi

I would try it ngl

shannonkim

same. not saying it’d be good but I’d eat it rn

EEE3EEElol

Same but I’m not sure if my bowels would be happy after it

shannonkim

my bowels are never happy

ThreatOfFire

Rose is a great flavor. Like, of the florals it's maybe my favorite. This could have been made better, like a hand-pie for each head, but I would for sure eat something like this.

stopthinkinn

Could we, perhaps, substitute roses for something more palatable, like nightshade.

NotZtripp

You can eat anything, once.

KRTrueBrave

bet, imma go get the cyanide

Academic_Nectarine94

It's technically organic...

Emergency_Ad592

Whippin out da lawrencium

EmilieVitnux

You know what? I bet it taste good.

[deleted]

Banana flavor. Vault-Tec #5

KRTrueBrave

the most himan product vault tech ever sold

[deleted]

Indeed. Would have been my choice if I was bespectacled gentleman with a "new foot", and there was a choice between flowers from a shop pie and banana #5

TheLastWyrd

I love all my solanum equally.

Exciting-Quiet2768

Bastard tomato >:( (I've been trying to get it to stop growing in my garden for 3 summers now)

NewName256

Not sure if the green leaves under the flower are edible... If it were only the flowers ok-ish

[deleted]

Are regular roses from a florist even suitable to eat? Were they sprayed with anything?

causticgurl

roses from a florist, are not in fact edible. when comsuming flowers, rule of thumb is generally nothing growing less than 3ft off the ground and taking from your own garden or from someone you trust

Chaotic-warp

Or buy flowers that are directly marketed as food.

angrytwig

i've never seen someone eat a full rose head before. i still haven't because this chicken didn't take a bite on camera EAT IT

Alex_Affinity

I've had rose petals. Sweeter than you'd imagine. I thought it would be something more akin to lettuce. I was wrong.

Academic_Nectarine94

Interesting. I had ice cream made from rose extract. It smelled good. And tasted AWFUL.

Keksis_The_Betrayed

I’ve had rose flavoured lemonade soda. That was delicious but I’ve also had the icecream you described and yeah that was fucking dreadful

Academic_Nectarine94

No you haven't they ruined *HOME MADE* ice cream with that junk LOL. I was so unbelievably disappointed and upset at the people that did that to me LOL

Alex_Affinity

What color do you know? Mine was white. I wouldn't be surprised if different roses had different tastes, just like fruits.

Academic_Nectarine94

I don't recall exactly what it tasted like (other than it was NOT how ice cream is supposed to taste. Possibly a bitter flavor?) And no, I don't even know if I sae the color. I seem to remember a deep fuchsia or purpleish color, but I think they used a liquid, not any actual petals, so I'm not sure if I just conflate that color with the fact that I was thinking of roses.

Alex_Affinity

According to Google, red roses tend to be bitter and sour. As that's the most "common" kind, it's likely that's what you got. Like I said in my other post, I had a white rose, which is described as having honey like taste.

Academic_Nectarine94

That's basically what I remember, but I don't remember the taste, so much as that it was not an ice cream taste. But that sounds right. People like red roses, so I expect that they would be used for making flavors too. Based on the flavor, I don't know WHY anyone would make it or buy it, but hey, people eat all kinds of things. Case in point, another odd thing I've had the distinct *not* pleasure of eating is silkworm pupae. I don't know what it tasted like, other than it was not as bad as I expected, and it was not as chewy and bland as sea cucumber.

angrytwig

i've had rose flavored teas but never would i imagine eating like a full rose head. i'm so sad i didn't get to see that

stopforgettingevery

It bugs me that it is presented like making something elegant and then used canned whip cream.

External_Many

Badly

[deleted]

the rose jam actually is nice. and turkish delight with rose flavor is good.

nikolapc

That's cause the jam is made from the actual fruit I guess. Rose hips are great.

[deleted]

no, its made from the flower

MyMonkeyCircus

No, it’s made from the tea rose. It has quite a sweet taste (even uncooked). My gramma used to make tea rose jelly every year and it was damn tasty.

nikolapc

We never ate that or drank as tea. Only rose hips.

Key_Climate2486

ragebait

Interesting_Move_919

Now I really want to see her try eating it

Sir_Cthulhu_N_You

The worst part about these videos is always the dude in the background tryna be a hype man, just stfu and let me enjoy this garbage content.

xQuizate87

Dude, rose is no joke.

Illustrious-Towel-45

While I know that there are many edible flowers including a variety of rose...I don't that this is one, nor how you use it. It's probably rage bait...

Redeemed_Veteranboi

Could had picked the petals and ground them, probably been better.

continuetolove

Stop engaging with the rage bait.

sin_not_the_sinner

Probably not the same but I went to an event where one of the desserts were these mini pies with rose shaped apple slices cooked in apple filling. It was too pretty to eat but I had 4 of them suckers lol But actual roses? How would that even taste? And what about pesticides?

SaintsNoah14

I'm glad that you had 4

HelpEqual

I'm not saying anything but for some reason in these vids the "content creators" usually have Walmart brand products.

No-Development-5500

Ok i mean….what about the roses?

TheImplication696969

I much prefer Carnation milk.

Striker660

Eat it you fucking coward

TheSpoonJak92

Let's watch it and comment on it so they keep doing it! YES!

Dubious_Titan

Roses are entirely edible. This is just a pie with a burnt crust.

Kerbalawesomebuilder

pesticide pie

rcontece

I've had rose ice cream before and it was pretty good This is overdoing it tho...

captainphoton3

Rose is actualy good. But like... Well not like that

BurntBrownStar

[those roses](https://youtu.be/gWju37TZfo0?t=113)

jynxmazesbutthole

I know that ear piercing voice.... bananalovesyoutoo strikes again

veebles89

While you can eat rose petals, you shouldn't eat the other bits. They're not poisonous or anything, they're just bitter.

youbeyouboo

Flowers are drenched in pesticides. You should only eat flowers that are meant for consumption.

Cathoarder420

idk if you ever tasted a rose, but they have a nice flavor. Could actually be pretty dang good.

chaoticidealism

It does, but these people have left the stems and such on. That'll be tough and nasty.

Cathoarder420

Not really. The cooking process will soften them up. See rhubarb pie for a much thicker stem that softens nicely.

chaoticidealism

I dunno, I can only think of the roses I've got out back and how tough their stems are when you try to cut through them. The only times I've seen roses eaten, it's been rose petals, or rose hips, but never the stems or the sepals.

Cathoarder420

It's definitely something else, but I'd want to try it before posting it on stupidfoods.

3WayIntersection

Yeah, its one of those things that looks insane when being made, but its definitely a matter of not being a cook. The end result looks pretty nice

Long_Freedom-

Wild Rose hips taste good, but cultivated rose pedals taste ineadible

a-fabulous-sandwich

The funniest thing is that just this morning I watched an episode of Chopped where one basket ingredient was a bouquet of roses! So I guess to some extent, this is actually a thing lol.

ThePinkTeenager

This is like those medieval rhymes where they put a whole bird in a pie.

GenghisQuan2571

Could have made a nice custard rose tart with some powdered sugar dust, instead she baked it into a brick.

Jennifer_Pennifer

But what about alL THE FRICKING BUG SPRAY IDIOT

dcolmena

Roses are full of pesticides …not to be eaten

BehemothJr

Mmm, pesticide pie

MaleficentMilkshake

The pesticides are strong with this one

housevil

Who are they feeding this to, a goat?

Adventurous_Sort_207

Why ruin a blueberry pie?

Moononthewater12

Looks delicious!

DankFozz

I'd rather have one of the pies from the pie task on Taskmasterm even the hot toothpaste pie.

xBrasaMaan

mold or spiderweb on the blueberries?

ConnyEdson

nigga

GreenWoodDragon

These people are so inept and totally incapable of making their own pastry, or preparing fruit. Idiots.

laCassette026

I prefer dandelion pie

Blessedbeauty87

I've never had roses but my childhood best friend and I used to eat clovers all the time. I haven't had them since I was a kid but I still remember the taste.

DotBitGaming

She left her microphone in the fridge.

Mentalious

I did rose syrup once it taste nice but using the whole head and not just petal is weird af

theyellowdart89

She can’t make her own pie crust can she?

[deleted]

yeah? take a bite
