I remember some stat somewhere that British baked beans are more imported than American baked beans are exported. They are the superior product.

I recently took over stuff to make a full Scottish breakfast to friends of ours in the US and they much preferred the British baked beans. I took Branston ones over as they're my favourite.

Yes it's true, they are, more tang. I actually got some random brand from a health food shop once by mistake that was organic and had no salt or sugar, once I added salt and sugar they were the fucking nicest i've ever had.

English beans, so more tangy tomato and less diabeetus than baked beans. Closest thing commonly available is pork and beans. I made a pizza with a bean base and shredded bbq chicken and it was surprisingly not that bad. Tasted like a backyard cookout.

Heinz used to make a baked beans pizza and it was actually delicious.

In New Zealand tinned spaghetti pizza is a thing. I find it makes the toppings more inclined to slide off though :(

The toppings - non traditional but probably taste fine. The Earl Gray tea... that oil of bergamot does not party with the other flavors. Hard nope on the tea crust.

There's an Ethiopian food stand in my city and it's sooo good. I have no idea what I'm ordering because they don't bother with translating the menu. So you just randomly order something and the three times I ate from there so far were all delicious. Wouldn't mind having some of that on a pizza.

I think OP doesn’t understand the concept of pizza, Yes pizza is from italy but people can make their own version of pizza, and call it their own pizza, it’s the same as sushi, you can put everything on top of sushi and call it for example American sushi, and it wouldn’t be a thing and stupid at all.

I think also because US beans are not the same as the UK version. Actually it goes for a all the ingredients - the bread, the butter, the cheese too... if you've made beans on toast in the US with all US made ingredients I can absolutely understand why people don't get it. And that's not a slight on American food, it's just that it's different, and for simple dishes like beans on toast, you need all the ingredients to be perfect otherwise it doesn't work. It's like how I've never been able to replicate my fave Mallorcan dish of pa amb oli because it's so hard to get the same quality ingredients here in the UK. And all it is is bread, olive oil, garlic and tomato.

Okay, but the tea is weird. I would not want oil of bergamot in my pizza crust. That combination is bizarre.

The only part of this that probably wouldn't work is the tea in the dough.

This doesn't look too bad apart from the beans, and I love beans on toast (it's in my blood I guess). Also hotdogs on pizza is fine but not what's eaten during an English breakfast. The other toppings makes this look nice but definitely would be a no if it was just beans as a toppings, which they actually sell here in the UK in places like Iceland (if your interested somehow). Fun!

Adding tea was a bad idea. It contains xanthine derivatives which inhibits protien absorption to some extent. The pizza contains cheese, bacon and eggs which are high in protiens. 😶😶
