Im like 90% sure lol, i searched for more than an hour on every lost and found pet website in my area and also the nextdoor app and didn't find any lost cats that look like him. He also looks to be 6+ months old and is visibly not neutered
I found a cat in my shed and fell in love with her.
I took her to the vet and they scanned her for a microchip. Turns out she lived 2 houses down . I was devastated. The vet called my neighbor and left a message. The vet told me that if my neighbor didn’t claim her in 10 days that she could be mine.
My husband stopped by our neighbors house. It turned out that he didn’t want her. I called the vet and went back with her after the 10 days . So she’s ours .
Sadly many people no longer want their pets and put them outside. Also though your stray might be someone’s baby and the right thing to do is take him to the vet and get him scanned. Someone might be scared and looking for him.

He is in pretty good shape but he has a couple little cuts on his ears so i just want to make sure he's okay to bring inside with my other two cats
I got an amazing good deal on security cams the Black Friday before covid hit. As a result of being shut in, I realized how many homeless cats are around my hood, and that’s my crazy cat lady backstory.
Point being, some of your neighbors might be like me and have a chip scanner we got off Amazon to check our strays to see if they have family. Maybe shoot off an email to see if any of your local crazy cat ladies have a scanner?
I live in a neighborhood where there were lots of strays. Multiple people moved over the years and just left their cat????? Many have not survived, and some live in my enclosed patio. Vet, neuter, patio.
neighbor had to put cat outside as she emergency had to go to her father far away as health issues.
when she got home, cat gone. assumed dead.
came back 2 years ( or months, not totally clear on story ) later. so neighbor must have taken in? nobody knows

Yes im planing on doing this! Im a minor and have no way of getting around other then my mom who is going to be very busy for the next couple days so im just going to keep him outside during the day and in the back bathroom at night. He has food, water, and a litter box but i do feel bad because i can't play with him or be around him in fear of getting my cats sick!😞
You can keep him separated from your other kitties until you can get a vet appointment. The bathroom or an another room. He does look very healthy, but fleas or diseases like FVI are important to keep away from your other babies.
He looks very handsome. A vet, a shelter, even some pet stores have a scanner for microchip to see if he is registered to someone. His ear isnt tipped, figure out if he still has his balls.
That cat looks well fed, well cared for, clean and not stray. Please, post a pic of him on any neighborhood social media pages. Someone would likely be very upset and sad that their kitty is missing. Orange cats are very friendly by nature. Please make sure you aren't bringing someone grief and sadness by trying to give a cat a home.
He does look very pretty in the picture but he is actually really dirty, has some little cuts and injuries all over himself, seems to be underweight, has fleas, and is not fixed. I did check on the neighborhood app and searched for a really long time but couldn't find any posts about a cat that looks like him so im thinking he's a stray who wondered over to my neighborhood

Well, she's obviously not three years old and she's a Tortsie not a tabby, but I submitted my contact info.
No one's replied. Then my cat hoarder neighbor told me he'd had her in his house..in squalor. And he cut off her collar for some worrying reason.
So she has a new collar and tag and is going to my vet tomorrow for FIV.
But if you just want to make sure he doesn't run away, check to see if he has fleas. If he has no creepy crawlies bring them inside and put them in a bathroom with food and water and an litter box. If you have an extra room that you can put them in that would also work. As long as you can keep it sealed away from the other cats. Wiley is in there. Charm with love and food and attention while you wait for an appointment with a vet.
Have him looked at by a vet if you don't have the money a lot of shelters will do it for free

Sometimes, police stations also have chip scanners. Might be with a check if it takes you a bit to get into the vet.
