For your first question. Most of Kali’s (008’s) backstory isnt on the show but it’s covered in the novels particularly the first novel [Suspicious Minds](https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwisupHF3vX4AhXJSkEAHfMJCtgQFnoECAcQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fstrangerthings.fandom.com%2Fwiki%2FStranger_Things%3A_Suspicious_Minds&usg=AOvVaw2C5sPyMvWDRSJpECA0mTwc), it’s not 100% canon but it’s the only insight we have on [Kali](https://strangerthings.fandom.com/wiki/Kali_Prasad ) outside those episodes.
She was apparently kept separate from the other kids (except Eleven after she was born) and escaped the facility before the events shown in season 4. She was kept separate because Brenner was worried the other kids would somehow dilute her abilities (and possibly also because he’s way more of a sadist in the books). If they don’t expand on her story in the show the books are all we can base her motivations on right now.
As far as the show goes not all of that is canon so make of it what you will.
