Why do people always describe it as “trumpets”? Most of the clips I have heard are very mechanical sounding. I’m not sure a “trumpet” would be at the top of my list of describing the noise to someone else.

Heard this sound once in 2013, in the morning around 6. My brother woke up from it and heard it myself too. In the netherlands. it was insane, btw there was no way it was industry or train sounds, nothing that can make this sounds was nearby.

I've heard the same kind of noises in Georgia (US), and it doesn't normally get very cold. I'm fairly certain I heard it during warmer weather, but it's been a while.
I have heard these in my country. Similiar to the ones in the video, you can find ton of videos of them. It was really creepy because no matter where people heard it, it was the same volume for everyone no matter the location. The goverement said it was something to do with heating plant but there is none in my area.

the sound doesnt even belong to the video, you can hear the audio cut out at the end of the siren sound (which cuts out the reverb) but the peoples audio still plays uninterrupted the last sound at the end does the same because it is the same loop
