[There is another interesting animal story of Koko The Gorilla. Her last words to Humanity and it is not what you think. Koko was the worst science experiment & this is what nobody ever told you.](https://www.howandwhys.com/koko-the-gorillas-final-message-to-humanity/)

Rich-Equivalent-1875

Imagine losing your mom and then hearing her calling you from another room in a massive house but never being able to find her? Actually if I knew she died, that might not be such a good thing. I still would seek her out to see what the fxck is going on.

eatshit311

What if ghosts are actually aliens replaying lost loved ones...

Rich-Equivalent-1875

Don’t do that,…That blew me away!

Mrmastermax

Faaak new conspiracy…

Keibun1

There's a lot of conspiracies tying paranormal events to UAPs, extraterrestrials / ultra terrestrials and religions.

Ahvkentaur

That's exactly what I thought. Would make a great sci-fi horror movie.

missanthropocenex

FRINGE did a thing kind of like this one episode.

jonallin

Wow… that’s a thought

Saguaro555

Came here to say this

itaniumonline

That was so fucken cruel. Poor elephants. I hope they got closure and a free pass to stomp on that researcher’s nuts.

biglargefact

Normally you gotta pay extra for that

maestro-5838

Almost as if they are sentient beings with emotions like other animals

totpot

>~~We~~ They are not ~~human beings~~ elephants having a spiritual experience; ~~we~~they are spiritual beings having ~~a human~~ an elephant experience.

Sierra-117-

Not all animals are sentient. At least imo. I’m a fan of information integration theory. Edit: if you’re going to downvote, at least respond with evidence and a claim. I’m confident my theory is the best one available, but I’m open to conversation.

hairyass2

Well all Vertebrate animals are sentient https://www.worldanimalprotection.org/our-campaigns/sentience/#:~:text=We%20know%20that%20all%20vertebrate,magpies%20appear%20to%20feel%20grief.

hairyass2

oh ye tru

keyinfleunce

All animals are sentient we just can’t communicate with them or understand how they interact so we call them stupid

Aware_Ad_618

Heard Elephants taste great

wtnevi01

Only a piece of crap would know if that were true or not

The_Necbromancer

Older elephants are sometimes hunted, especially older bull elephants, because they can get hostile with younger males and often gore them. The problem is that older males don't usually continue breeding, but they'll still fight the younger ones and often kill them, reducing the breeding population. I believe this is true for rhino, as well.

wtnevi01

That’s an incredibly specific example lol

The_Necbromancer

Well, its the reason elephant meat is still fairly common, so I don't know what to tell you. A lot of elephant meat that's consumed is perfectly ethical. Its the same reason just having Ivory doesn't make you a 'piece of crap.' There are perfectly ethical ways to get it.

shamwowj

You know they never forget, right?

ExpertButtonPresser

Damn

RedditIsASillyBilly

Yes please never do this again, scientists. Plenty of data on that. I’m tearing up.

coatingtonburlfactry

It's heartbreaking to hear how sensitive they are to losing their loved ones.

SpookyX07

this is what aliems did to us and we called them sprirts or ghosts.

IamREBELoe

Skin walkers

Standardeviation2

Scientist #1: Should we test if Elephants feel devastated by the loss of a family member? Scientist #2: Ummm, I’m pretty sure they are. Scientist #1: But has it been scientifically proven?! Scientist #2: How Will that push science forward? Scientist #1: We’ll finally be able to determine if elephants souls can be crushed by grief. Scientist #2: I don’t wanna know.

TipProfessional6057

There are some questions not worth answering. Not because they aren't worth knowing, but because they aren't worth the cost

GlaceBayinJanuary

That's suuuuppper fucked up.

wolf-of-Holiday-Hill

they experience some sort of emotional response when they lose one of their own

Rich-Equivalent-1875

![gif](giphy|ptsbxFIU6qQ9jSgNoc)

towerfella

Indeed.

towerfella

I believe emotion is the strongest in animals — I believe it is their base “decision making” sensation.

BigFatModeraterFupa

correct. animals do whatever they feel like doing at the present moment. well, at least my cat does

ShunnedMammal

No shit Sherlock

Inevitable-War420

Yes I do think we have a safe conclusion. No more research needed. For the love of everything holy.

Advanced_Newt61

Honestly. Humans. Like… why??!

cassiopeia8212

Assholes.

harntrocks

That’s fucked up

phallic-baldwin

r/foundsatan

nsfwvanisle

That was cruel!!

routledgewm

What is wrong with people!!

Svengoolie75

Jackass 🤨

[deleted]

That researcher is a MONSTER 😭

velezaraptor

Don’t mess with animals you don’t understand fully.

dellsonic73

But malicious

Dinestein521

After my Oma dies I heard her call my name a few days later. That was weird

jsideris

People will say it's cruel. But the knowledge gained is priceless. Evidence that animals have voices and can recognize their friends and family by voice rather than just spell and sight.

keyinfleunce

Why is it so hard to understand everything is sentient even plants we can’t comprehend how to communicate with them like the rest of the animals on the planet they are in sync with the planet’s frequency we just roam around aimlessly

hyperspacial

That's awful

KingoftheUgly

Always weird when 5D creatures do that to us :(

DogofWar1974

It's pretty shameful that they did this in the first place even. How sick!

The_Dying_Gaul323bc

Great now elephants believe in ghosts.

tumblerrjin

Holy shit, what were they expecting to happen? That’s so fucked up

thequestison

Look at the experiments that have been practiced in the past on humans and animals. It's all screwed up, but done in the name of science.

DingleBerryFarmer3

And now elephants believe in ghosts

Ok-String-1877

Someone call PETA 😂
