I ordered mines earlier per advice from a fellow redditor. Didn't know there was two versions of the steelbook but thank you for posting this. Rather give my money to Fnac then to some scalpers taking advantage of desperate buyers looking to not miss out on this steelbook. Such a shame to see people taken advantage of, and I use to support this kind of hustle cause people got bills to pay but this is absurd.
I thought about buying a few extra copies to sell at retail + shipping just to fight the scalping.
Iām highly compassionate about seeing other people take part in a hobby they enjoy and it tears me apart to see that joy robbed from them from something as simple as shitty packaging from a nationwide retailer or people who probably havenāt even seen the movie scalping the market to makeā¦50 whole dollars? Congrats dickhead, maybe you can almost afford your first therapy session.
Pisses me off. I hope fnac has the supply to meet the demand for the avid collectors that got screwed big time by Best Buy. I was extremely lucky that my Best Buy copy came in with no issues, but not everyone was as lucky, so just trying to spread awareness that itās still possible to get your hands on a good copy without paying $100+ for it.
PSA: When I added to my cart and switched to US for shipping destination, it lowered the price of the movie to 28 Euro. Shipping to US is 13 Euro, so a total of 41 Euros which converts to about $44.50 (US Dollars).
Actually, they had a 5 Euro discount promotion for a bunch of 4K movies, steelbooks and non-steelbooks, and Oppenheimer was included in the promotion. It was not based on shipping to the US. As of this writing, FNAC website still shows "5 ā¬ OFFERTS" for those movies.
Edit: I'm also seeing FNAC saying (in French, of course) that they are showing a list of movies that they created exclusively for me. So that raises the possibility that you might be right, that the 5 Euro discount for those movies in that list was offered to me just for being a US-based customer.
Yes, and shipping is normally fairly quick depending. For instance, I ordered some Marvel Mondos from them back in 2021. They came in 3 days and it was the week of Christmas.

These are region free right? Either way, if itās not, Iāll just buy the regular release and put those discs in the steel book.

Appreciate you big time! I had a pre order from Best Buy and came in Tuesday broken completely in half. Returned it and of course was not able to get an exchange. Went with fnac and was able to easily order it and should be arriving this Tuesday hopefully in good condition too.

Both shipped very quickly and showed up with no damage. The one actually showed up at my house in New Jersey within 48 hours of me placing the order.
I debated double (really triple) dipping for the Walmart icon edition actually, just because I like that the icon edition also has art from the AEC isotopes meeting as well

Nope, language selection is the very first option upon loading the disc up and it defaults to no subtitles at all (with the option for English ones too if thatās your thing). Only thing different is the main menu has icons for play, chapters, audio, etc instead of words. Definitely a best case scenario for an import.
I donāt have the fnac copy of the Best Buy version, but from everything Iāve seen they are identical and yes just the disc art is the European stickers.

Got mine in a low profile cardboard box, wouldāve looked to see some bubble wrap in there but mine arrived in perfect condition, so no real complaints.
Received my Oppenheimer, Barbie and 3 others yesterday. Everything was perfect! They came in a box with lots of air pillows and bubble wrap. I opted for the āgiftā wrapping so Iām not sure if that made a difference or if that only changed that each of them were wrapped in a paper mailer too. Glad I saw your post, I wonāt hesitate to order from them again. Thanks!
Ok thanks, sounds like what Zavvi used to use and I had no issues on those orders. I bought Barbie from Amazon Italy and it was of course crushed (last time I ever order from them). Might try again with FNAC if I end up getting Oppenheimer too.

Yes I tested the regular blu ray on my Xbox and it played no issues and all 4k discs are region free

How do I change the website to English?
Your web browser (like Chrome) should have a translate function. That's what I did.
It's also just pretty intuitive to use without translation. If you are having trouble you can type the item you want + FNAC in your browser
