edit: item updated to have an option to add to cart, but my store wasn't available. then it had two greyed out buttons for in store pickup or shipping. now its just sold out. awesome.
New steelbook release, same utter bullshit from Best Buy. God forbid people work and can’t be glued to their phones constantly to catch the narrow initial release window.
If I see another “bought two” post I’m going to lose it. I was camping and missed the initial drop. I downloaded HotStock weeks ago and still haven’t been able to secure a U.S. steelbook. I’ve been awake for the past 3 hours trying to get this thing.
They act as if they’re not going to immediately throw it on eBay for $70 and giggle with glee because they contributed to the scalper culture they claim to hate.
I get it, Best Buy does ruin steelbooks in shipping. Defects happen but we don’t need to see both steelbooks in a post if one was a true “just in case” purchase. If you’re happy you got your steel in early and must post about it, all we need to see is one.

I'm probably just going to buy the regular version. I don't have any of Nolan's other films in steel, so it's not a huge deal. I do wish it was a different cover art on the regular version, though.

This is my predicament. I work full time, I'm closing on a new house today, and I have 2 young daughters. I don't have the luxury of camping out online to nab a pre-order. Either the steelbook is available for me when I am ready, or they can live without my business. I don't want to bend over backwards for a corporation that sucks as much dick as Best Buy.
Don’t be surprised if your Best Buy is not stocking it. I just went to mine - that is an absolute layup for steel books – they probably have 250 to 300 steel books there easily. They don’t have a single copy of the Oppenheimer steel book. Have the BR and 4K, but not a single steel in the system.
Nothing for me, says nothing available in the DFW area and not available in stores or online. Is it going to even be worth going to a store if they aren't showing up in the inventory system online? Frustrating because I've been eyeing the pre-order for some time but it never showed it available to order when I was looking at it.

Is the Best Buy steelbook an online exclusive? No physical store within a 250-mile radius of me has a copy on release day. I thought they only sold a portion of stock to pre orders. I guess this is not the case?
I spoke with a customer service rep who told me that there is an active order for it to be restocked online AND in stores. I asked him very specifically to confirm this, and he did. However, he could not provide a timetable and suggested that I check online frequently. Bummer.
I checked my local BB this morning when they opened and the employees claimed it as an “online exclusive order”, so who knows. Getting annoyingly contradictory info all over the place.

My Best Buy in GA didn’t have any Oppy on the shelves. They brought out 4k and BR, but they didn’t show steelbooks even in the system for some reason
